0o0o I just recently heard about her (even though I've seen TVXQ's "Hug" MV awhile back). She's the main female protagonist of a LOT of soompi's fanfictions (haha!).

Anyways, her eyes don't seem hazel or greenish or bluish or whatever. They're just a really really light brown (case in point: http://img.photobuck...shell/ara1.jpg). And with the right lighting and makeup enhancements, they'll probably turn a different 'shade' (more green, gray, etc). My best friend has really really REALLY light brown eyes, and I'm sure with the right lighting, her eyes would probably come out look even lighter as well...! If you'll notice, studio shots (like CF pictures and stuff), her eyes looking much lighter than they do in non-studio shots (like those of her at promotional events or even candid shots or screencaps).

I think she's REALLY pretty, but not so much in the "Hug" MV. I thought that she looked very unpolished in that video. In some shots, I think she could benefit from a good eyebrow waxing and shaping (seriously, her eyebrows are just SOO thick! They kinda ruin the delicacy of her features).

[Plus, about the plastic surgery thing: I heard that SM Entertainment will never publicly tell the public whether or not their artists have gotten plastic surgery. So I guess we'll never really know, huh?]

There are lots of antis in Fan threads.. sometime they even pose as "fans". That I know.
Plus there are a lot of fans that are jealous even though they admire too.. i've seen a lot of love/hate emotions on various threads.


Her ears still look very big.. I highly doubt that any Koreans would make their ears smaller. If anything they would want it larger. It does looks like MAYBE she pinned them back.. I've seen it done with a good number of my Caucasian friends. Her eyes look exactly the same. She does try to open them wider in certain pictures.. She most definitely had folds and big pretty eyes as a little little kid too. I remember thinking that over and over when she was a kid.. and seeing her videos when she was even a younger kid.

People tell me that I must have gotten my eyes done too. I always had folds..but people say my eye looks a bit different now.. Some think I didn't have folds before..but I most definitely did. I've read on some medical forum (bc the viscious rumor milling girls in college was just getting out of hand) that eyes DO change naturally as you age. How they change depends on the person. Some random girl in college even analyzed my eyes in pictures too and said they look different from my picture long ago. Seriously.. I never even went near a plastic surgeon and I have no need to lie to you guys on this forum.. so you "plastic surgery cops" CAN be wrong even with your pictures as "proof".

Also, there is an invisible tiny thin tape you can put on your eyes to temporarily give them folds OR make your existing folds deeper. I tried it once and it makes my folds dissapear (bc it gets so close the the lashes) but my eyes looks larger.

and in response to another post: SM agency usually keeps silent about plastic surgery? OF COURSE. ANY Entertainment agency would. NO MATTER which country you are talking about. What kind of agency would openly discuss that? Unless the celeb is on the top in popularity and considered A-list plus he or she REALLY wants to say it on their own or they are free agents (which i noticed more and more Korean celebs are doing).. No agency would divulge that kind of information.

Go Ara was eye catchingly beautiful as a little tiny kid straight up until her early teenage years too.. perfect skin, face, pretty large hazel eyes.

Let's stop analyzing the pictures for plastic surgery.. It's bad manners, bad form and unless you're an Anti Fanatic.. you really are being rude and disrespectful to the celebrity whether or not she sees it. Even if you aren't a fan, it's not something you should voice out about anyone. But as a fan it makes even less sense to be disrespectful.

We can sit here 24/7 and analyze EVERY beautiful celebrity's old and new pictures.. I mean Japanese, Chinese, American .. you name it.. Every celeb around the globe.. and I guarantee you that we'll have tons and tons of people who can come up with "proof" that EACH AND EVERY CELEBRITY did plastic surgeries.

well..there was an episode in her drama sharp season 1 where go ara's character auditioned for a cf (i think) and she mentioned that she would love to have her ears fixed..they'd even showed a digital outcome..but mind you,,it was just for the drama..it was not ara's own opinion..


i personally dont care if she did anything to her ears or lids or whatever..i LOVE her b/c of her talent..of course, her looks also helps but frankly,having plastic surgery shouldn't be a big deal coz ALMOST every celebrities do it..besides,its not like she'd done any MAJOR plastic surgery,if ever it is true that she got her ears done or her lids enhanced..and it might also open some major roles for her (like blue wolf) if she looked less 'cute' coz of her ears..lastly, having tape on your ears or forever hiding them beneath youre hair isn't exactly as convenient/comfortable as getting it fixed..

Ko A-ra Stars in Japanese-Mongolian Joint Film

Young actress Ko A-ra is set to captivate Hong Kong with her latest movie “Blue Wolf,” a Japanese-Mongolian joint production.

Ko drew great attention from the Hong Kong media at a preview of the film held at AMC Pacific Place on Wednesday. Distributed by EDKO Film, “Blue Wolf” will be released there in May.

Some 300 reporters from 110 media companies from 17 nations attended a press conference held ahead of the preview.

Meanwhile, the film topped the Japanese box office for the first week of its release, ranked third for the second week, and dropped to eighth place for the third week.

Ko Ah-ra Cast as Lead for Japanese Movie

Actress Ko Ah-ra, who has gained popularity in Japan recently, was cast to play a lead in the joint Japanese-Mongolian movie “The Blue Wolf” by beating competition odds of 39,157 to one.

The movie’s producer, Haruki Kadokawa, offered Ko the role at a March 25 event held in Tokyo that marked the release of Ko’s first photo album. Nicknamed “Midas Touch,” Kadokawa decided to produce the movie after a ten-year hiatus.

Ko’s photo album, entitled “Ara in Rome,” was produced by Kadokawa personally for the first time, attesting to the high interest in Ko as an actress. The album is based on the famous movie “Roman Holiday,” which stars Audrey Hepburn. The photo shoot was held in January in Rome, Italy by the famous Japanese celebrity photographer Kishin Shinoyama.

Ko says she has always been interested in Rome and learned a lot about the city during the photo shoot, adding that the album includes photos of her with both long and short hair.

“The Blue Wolf” is a large-scale movie costing 23 billion won and depicting the life of Genghis Khan. Ko plays the role of a woman-warrior named Kuran, the principal lover of Genghis Khan. The movie opened in Japan on March 3 and topped the Japanese box-office in its first week. It remained in the top-ten for three weeks in a row, taking the third spot in its second week and the eighth spot in its third week.

Swiss Ambassador Christian Hauswirth was at the ceremony appointing the actress for amity between Swiss and Korea.

Ara celebrates being twenty with her first trip as a legal adult, taking off for Tokyo in a program for cable lifestyle channel O’live, She’s O’live: Ara’s Twenty-Year-Old Story (or, Ara’s Story of Being Twenty).

In the program, Ara visits the sights in several of Tokyo’s fashionable districts, stopping by hip spots like the pop artist Yoshitomo Nara’s café and browsing the expensive stores of Harajuku, yes, that home of the uber-trendy fashion aesthetic bastardized by Gwen Stefani. Ara has a chance to show her apparently impressive Japanese skills as well.

Throughout the trip, she tells anecdotes of her life, like this one that surfaced when dropping by a store selling Christmas items (it’s only August!): “When we found out that [SPOILER?] our parents were really Santa, my younger brother and I would pretend to be asleep while my mother set up the presents, and once we even sneaked outside to open our presents, then rewrapped them and went back to sleep.”

The program airs in two segments, the first of which ran August 30, and the second which shows on September 6.

[NEWS] Yunho U-Know & Go Ara



It has been confirmed that pretty Go Ara will be romancing TVXQ's leader, U-Know Yunho in the new drama Heading to the Ground. She has been cast as the main girl Kang Hae Bin who works alongside Yunho's character.

Go Ara's character, Kang Hae Bin is a soccer agent that wants to be able to be recognized through her own strength in a man's world. She is first captivated by Bong Gun's (Yunho's) kick and although they fight often, he ends up saving her life and they fall in love.

The producer said about Go Ara "She is overflowing with energy and her ability to show emotions is very deep. She is an actress that always gives an attempt at everything and grows in the process. I think that this drama will be able to be a big hit due to Ara. I'm really glad because the drama has become very fresh and entertaining."

Go Ara herself mentioned about her excitement about being selected for the drama, "The script is so much fun that I read all of it up to the 10th episode in one sitting. I'm glad because this character is one that loves and grows throughout the drama."

I never watched korean drama before and only started watching heading to the ground because I love DBSK, but Go Ah Ra is amazing. It seems many praise her for her looks and she is pretty, but imo, you can look pretty, but if you can't act, it's pointless. But she does a great job of portraying Hae Bin. I absolutely love that character. I love her determination and it's really admirable, her trying to succeed in a field, dominated my males and Ah Ra does a great job of portraying her.

I'll have to check out some of her other stuff. If anyone call me some dramas or movies, that she does a great job in and they are great, I would greatly appreciate it.

yeah me too.. i only realized how gorgeous she is coz of HTTG.... i never paid much attention to her when i saw her in TVXQ's Hug MV before hehe....

actually, i watch HTTG coz of jung yunho, but when i saw go a-ra on it, gosh she really grown up so much, really gorgeous and a perfect match for yunho.... they r both skinny, tall, have small face and also, they both have beautiful faces....
