Chen Kun, born on February 4, 1976 in Chongqing, Sichuan, is a Chinese|Han actor and singer. He also goes by another name, Aloys. One of his most known roles to the international audiences was in Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress (film). Nowadays he resides in Beijing.

Many people only see Chen Kun as an actor, but after the success of his first album, Osmosis in 2004, he transitioned himself into a professional singer and was received widely by fans and critics. Recently Chen Kun released his second album, To Come True Again in May 2006 singing R&B for the first time.

He has enjoyed success in both acting and singing. He was first a singer of traditional Chinese songs, and then went to Drama university to become an actor. After graduating he has gotten roles in many films and dramas, becoming one of China's most sought after young actors.

In 2008, he had participated in the Hong Kong series produced by TVB known as C'est La Vie, Mon Cheri also known as Endless Love with the Fiona Sit as him love interest in the series.

Aaah I like him!
I saw him in 'Xiao Cai Feng' (aka 'The Little Chinese Seamstress') and I thought he did a good job along with Liu Ye and Zhou Xun of course ^^
I knew he did lots of movies with Zhou Xun, but never thought it would be in so many movies
As for his songs, I've only listened to his last album, it was quite pleasant

yeah ive been watchin his series for a while now, first saw him in a series with ruby lin a while back, then the one with liu yifei. just got done with warlords one with sonija kwok which was really good and now im watchin the one on the top of the page with sun li. also i really like that one song 幻觉

I used to like him but now I switched to Taiwan stars and shows LOL. I find his shows are quite similar. Olden days or ancient times. Rarely any modern ones.
But there was one which ariel lin starred in too. They don't have any scenes together though. It is called something like “ chinese kung fu� '

I had a lot of trouble looking for that dvd in china! So its almost impossible to find it in another country. U can find it here. Verycd.com but I think it is in mando. As there are rarely any sites where u can find it. i had a lot of experience looking for it when I was obsessing over it. it is a good series. His first ancient fighting series.

I'm currently watching The Conquest and he's excellent in the series. He's reallie compatible with Sonija. His theme and subtheme songs are very good!

鸳鸯蝴蝶 was a nice movie. I really enjoyed this. Comedy movie, not that serious. He was good there.
I find him better as actor than singer. Although 月半弯 isn't that bad.

i have never seen ALoy Chen before the Conquest series aired. he some how looks like a girl (especially in the movie when he puts long hair) to me. but also he somehow attract me to watch his series. he can act, he definitely can act. he interact with the audience by his eyes. his let his eyes speak for his emotions, or feelings.

Hey, I like this guy. I mean when I first saw him on the cover of The Conquest I thought couldn't they hire another actor, I mean the long hair made him look a little bit feminie not so my thing. But after a few episodes, he was so great, I mean in acting and the theme and sub theme were so wonderful, he got a great voice. And after a while I even thought he looks quite good. I mean wow this guy gotta have talent tochange one's opinion in only few episodes. He's great actor and singer I wish to listen to more of his music, does anyone know where I can get it?

I agree! His eyes are expressive and mesmerizing. He really could project emotions thru them.

Aloys Chen Kun Donates to Flood-hit Hometown
Chinese actor, Aloys Chen Kun, on Thursday donated 100,000 yuan (13,200 U.S dollars) to his flood-struck hometown, Chongqing, the Chongqing Shangbao reported.

The actor, who is currently shooting a film in Hong Kong, learned about the disaster from a local newspaper and then told his agent to make the donation, the report said.

At the same time, Chen also put a short video on his official website, calling on his fans to do their bit for people in the disaster-hit area.

With the help of the Chongqing Shangbo newspaper, the agent found an international disaster relief institution and finished the donation on Friday, the report added.

More than 6 million people were affected and 290,000 people were evacuated, after heavy rains on Monday lashed Chongqing municipality and triggered landslides and mud flows in 33 districts or counties in the southwestern city.

OMGOSH! I'm a PRETTY big fan of Chen Kun!! & wow, I didn't know that his English name is Aloys Chen, haha very interesting name! ^^ And I'm ALSO very PROUD for the fact that Chen Kun is from Chongqing, where I'm also from!! hehe, cause it seems like that are NOT many actor/actress that comes from this city...

Anyways, I first came across Chen Kun when I first watched "the story of a noble family" and OMGOSH! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this plot and cast a lot, and it seriously reminded me of my family history, lol But yeah, I thought that Chen Kun did an AWESOME job portraying a spoil brat as well as someone who ends up caring a lot of his wife until he really changed at the end... XD ggggrr, I HATED that ending! lol

Oh yeah, Chen Kun also sings!!! Sadly I never really listened to a lot of his songs before but i heard that he's a VERY good singer!!

& haha, as for his personal life, haha, a while ago I heard that Chen Kun is ACTUALLY gay!!! But I never found out if he really was or not! But I kinda doubt it since it was said that he liked Vicki Zhao, but got rejected by her! XD lol

From Fiona's blog, 新不了情 (C'est La Vie, Mon Cheri) will be released on March 13th on TVB HD Channel! It's a remake of the popular/critically aclaimed film of the same name (which starred Lau Ching Wan & Anita Yuen). The tv adaptation also stars Chen Kun (he's the male lead), Candace Yu. The story is really sad and Fiona like only posted the really sad pics!
