hey there ^^
All right, as most people know, asians have p0ker straight and usually very short eyelashes. The greatest invention for us is mascara ^^! But....if you're like me and dont deal with makeup unless forced lol, how do you solve this problem? weeelll, besides and eyelash curler, there is a way to make them longer ^^. It takes time though..... so are you ready to know ^^!?

you cut them! take small scissors and becareful!!! but just cut off the tips of them. it will feel strange and you may be sad that your eyelashes are even shorter!! BUT in about 1 month time, they grow back LONGER than what they originally were. you 've got to believe me! I had short eyelashes and even my eyelash curler couldn't REACH them because they were so short!!! I cut just the tips of my eyelashes off and in about 4 or 5 weeks (of course, it depends on each person on how long it takes for them to grow back) I had longer eyelashes than normal! now my eyelash curler can reach them and they are oh so long...now they are not as long as many americans....but you can tell the differences.

just remember to BECAREFUL with those tiny scissors (I used the scissors that come with pocket knives)....and be sure to have mascara handy while they are growing okies? oh! and remember to cut only the tips... I think it's like hair. you cut off the split ends and they will grow faster....
good luck!!!!

Hehehe I can confirm it :P but like what wildstyled said, what you need is patience. I've heard bout it before but didn't dare to try it. Vanity soon got the better of me...... could not really tell the difference at first and got sad when they didn't seem to grow back. After a while, noticed that they were slightly longer and look fuller. Just trimed them again yesterday for the 3rd time ...... I use the scissors that comes in a manicure kit as they are curved, it's easier to follow the contour of the eye. But pls be careful!!! :)

I'm intrigued but I'm scared to actually try it. I've heard of people shaving their eyebrows and their eyebrows don't grow back. What if I cut the tips of my eyelashes and they don't grow longer? Then I'll be stuck with permanently shorter eyelashes. :down

I just told you ^^ I did it a little while ago and now I really have longer eyelashes!!! at first i really did think it as a joke, but then I thought you know what? what do I have to lose? the worst that can happen is that they will grow back to the normal length....(it's hair, it WILL grow back)....but after it grew back to the normal length, it actually grew LONGER. I'm telling you, I did it and I want to share it with my fellow asians ^^ because it really works. Don't forget to keep mascara handy while it is growing back though. ^^

oh good ^^ *huggles* see!!! 2 people have done it with a 100 percent success rate!!!! w00t!!! lol

MoodiBunni, xcutie, and solemnite::
lol trust me....2 people besides me have already done it here....we've all said that it grows back longer and fuller. Now eyebrows I haven't tried...lol....
it grows back, I promise....you will not end up with permanently short eyelashes ^^. it takes patience though. I mean, mine took about 5 weeks for them to grow to what I have now. It does vary for each person though. I suggest having mascara handy while they are in the process of growing.
please please please do be careful though. remember to only cut the tips......and becareful!!!!

I don't think I trust myself with trimming my own eyelashes. It is an interesting idea, however. I'll be sure to let my friends know about it.

many people have said to use manicure scissors, but I used the small scissor that come with pocket knives. Be sure to have a steady surface and good light. support your hand or arm or wrist.....you don't want to accidentally shake and then make a cut on or IN your eye. PLEASE becareful. lots of light so you can see well too!!
if you are too scared, maybe someone you TRUST can help....make sure they have lots of light and a steady hand...even with a steady hand, make sure they support it with something like a table or a counter!!!

that's all the more reason to cut them!!!!
lol and they don't stop growing at 10....I mean, that's like saying HAIR stops growing at ten...and EYEBROWS stop growing at ten...lol why do you think old men have long long eyebrows and nose hair and ear hair...well at least american old men do....(ewww huh?) if they stopped growing then...lol our hair would be the same length forever from ten all the way to the day we die!! haha ^^

of course, it's up to you whether you want to try or not. there have been many people already that agree it works...so now the decision is yours to make ^^
good luck.

Don't think I'll try this. I have clumsy fingers and might snip off more than I intended to.

Anyway I am currently using vaseline, and my inches did grow longer by a bit.

mmmhhh...i am a bit skeptical too. I have long eyelashes myself, but i think they can be longer, how longer how better right. So maybe i should try it out too...but if they don't grow back i have shorter eyelashes than before :(... don't know whether i should risk it or not.

But then, after cutting the ends of the eye lashes, and they've grown back, longer and fuller. Would you need to frequently, cut them from time to time? But why, if so?

I tried this twice and it worked everytime. lolx. Just the first few weeks were really annoying, and you felt as if they were never going to grow ><

well here's hoping to that it works the 3rd time too XD
but even though I trimmed a lot away they're still pretty long. It definitely does work.
I think my eyes look decent without long lashes too. good either way whether they grow back or not
by the way.
I DO do the bottom lashes, and that's how I can tell it works... they are are long bottom lashes after a few weeks...or longer.. ^^

one note: im quite hairy for a girl, plus my hair grows back really fast. Therefore the same would be for my eyelashes. Maybe other people's genes are different.

guys....it's not going to only take 2 weeks. not even your HAIR grows that fast. like I said, it took mine about 4-5 for results. lol that's why I said to keep mascara handy!!! you will look strange, but they WILL grow back...and will grow back longer.

Quote

i only have cutting the tops of my eyelashes..or that don't helps?

you mean your bottom eyelashes? I don't think so. I've never done the bottom ones before....I don't know what to tell you about the bottoms beccause I've never done it, so I can't give you my experience. All I've done are the top eyelashes...

Quote

But then, after cutting the ends of the eye lashes, and they've grown back, longer and fuller. Would you need to frequently, cut them from time to time? But why, if so?
after you cut them once, you can cut them again. I've done mine three times and I find that the still grow longer than before....but of course, there IS a stopping point lol. it's not like the more you cut the longer it'll grow and it'll be like that forever. after about 3 or 4 times, the amount that they grow is smaller and smaller and it'll come to the point where no matter how many times you cut them, they'll grow to the longest they can grow and will not grow anymore. so you don't have to worry about them never growing back, just know that they will stop at some point...so your eyelashes will not be so long that it is ridiculous lol.

Quote

lol take a chill pill. i was just curious! but thanks for the tip, and the confirmation and will definately give it a go!
sorry haha ^^ it's just that, I have something to share that can benefit EVERYONE ^^ and I'm very excited to share it and spread my experiece with everyone lol ^^;; didnt mean to sound mean or anything...sorry about that.

Quote

haha if you want to have longer eyelashes...then why not. although i do hate it when a boy has longer eyelashes than me lol because girls would KILL to have lush and long eyelashes and the boy is like born with it. lol...makes me wanna cry :P

Against my better judgment, I cut the tips of my eyelashes a few days ago. My friend told me the other day that if your eyelashes get pulled out, they don't grow back. I'm not sure if the same is true for some people if they cut their eyelashes...I really hope mine grow back.
