Chinese Television Channels

Who here has chinese channels from their cable or satelite service? I live in Canada and we only get Fairchild TV. Its alright at times but it shows TVB series that are 1-2 years behind. Currently, they are airing Virtues of Harmony 2 and Perish in the Name of Love.
In America, Jadeworld is airing Palcebo Cure (sp) correct? I wish I had Jadeworld but we cannot get DirecTV in Canada due to some copyright and communication rules!

Anyway, we're renting videos again and I only download old series that I want to watch again or the ones that the rest of the family doesn't want to see...

yeah you do. Direct TV is a lot of money every month. They have the International Channel, phoenix channel, and also the Jade channel. None of them air updated shows, except for the jade ones, when there is an award show and miss hk. stuff like that.

nope. america's direcTV/jadeworld is just as "up-to-date" as fairchild in canada. "placebo cure" is not airing here. jadeworld east & west are both airing "survivor's law", "king of yesterday and tomorrow", "virtues of harmony 2", and "fate twisters".
but from the commericals, the series that will be coming up after "survivor's law" are: "better halves" (steven ma/maggie cheung), "w-files" (gallen lo/yoyo mung), "not just a pretty face" (roger kwok/joey yung), and finally, "triumph in the skies" (francis ng/flora chan). but i'm not sure if it's in that order.
after "king of yesterday and tomorrow" are: "vigilante force" (kenix kwok/bowie lam), "armed reaction 4" (bobby au yeung/ada choi), "point of no return" (julian cheung/charmaine sheh).
i actually really want to watch "aqua heroes" but it doesn't seem to be in the schedule anywhere.

We get Fairchild TV and Talentvision (a mandarin channel) is also available for extra cost. As many of you have already said, Fairchild really isn't updated. That's alright, because I rarely watch Fairchild anymore so my parents watch it. They don't care about how new/old a series is, as long as they have something to watch.

If the newest dramas are availble in Fairchild right after it aired in hk, who's gonna rent the tapes in Canada?
i found that abit interesting.. haha
