For the first time in Korea's Olympic history, 'Marine Boy' Park Tae Hwan won a Swimming Gold Medal and the 2nd Gold Medal for the Korea Team.

In the finals of the Mens Freestyle 400m held on the Olympics Swimming Centre on the 10th, Park Tae Hwan won Gold Medal with a record of 3minutes 41seconds 86 beating China's Zhang Lin and USA's Jensen.

Eventhough Park Tae Hwan was placed in the 3rd lane because he fell behind Zhang Lin in the qualifying match, Park Tae Hwan still unfolded an outstanding race. Park Tae Hwan, who was holding up on 4th place in the 50m turning point, swam up to 2nd place in the 100m point and started building up his speed. Even though Grant Hackett was leading 1st place in the 100m mark, Park Tae Hwan swam harder and succeeded in passing Hackett, and lead 1st place in the 150m turning mark.

Afterwards, Park Tae Hwan never gave his lead position to Hackett again and rather distanced himself more and more from the other swimmers. In the 350m turning mark, Hackett fell behind to 5th place and Zhang Lin came 2nd with his final spurt towards in the end.

Park Tae Hwan maintained his own pace, and despite Zhang Lin's scary spurt for the last remaining 10m, Park Tae Hwan came with a victory with a difference of 0.58seconds. Afterwards the song, SNSD - Girls' Generation, which Park Tae Hwan enjoys listening to came on in the Swimming Pool as Korea Celebrated their first ever gold medal in a swim event.

I watched the clip of the moment, but honestly I couldn't hear anything. The commentary and the crowd's cheers overpowered the song that was being played at the time. I heard Mabinogi full version! It's so catchy! I got it playing on my player all day long! I love it! I must say Tiffany's singing improved a lot. There were times when her voice was kinda instable, as if like she could go off-key any minute. But Mabinogi was really good. Seo Hyun and Jessica, no need to say, were just perfect singers!

Now I'm waiting for the full release of Sunny and Soori's songs.

I didn't know Soo Yeong could speak Japanese. I thought she was memorising but she spoke pretty fluently that it didn't seem like she was memorising. Hahaha...

Seo Hyun was REALLY like memorising however. She reminded me of those public speaking competitions and contestants speak with that manner. Also, I notice all the time she couldn't pronounce "Shao NV Shi Dai" effectively. Well, not trying to mock her, but she did sound like it. But she's considered good already. The Korean accent wasn't there.

Jessica's English wasn't that clear. I'm sure she could speak really well even though she left California for so many years.

So SNSD is a group with diversified language proficiency after all. I underestimated them!

I actually hoped that Jessica could speak more because it's usually Tiffany who does the talking. I'd like to listen more of Jessica's English since I've only heard it for a few times. She has a bit of British accent... I think that's the combination of American and Korean accent? Hahaha... I think she's nervous because it must have been a while since she conversed with people in English. Does she talk to her family members in English too? I'm pretty sure Tiffany does with her father.

Btw, did Jessica and Tiffany really change their hairstyles? I read some news regarding it as they did it for their new album *anticipates!*. I thought Jessica's new hairstyle suited her so much!!! Tiffany had a mushroom hairstyle I heard.

I am sure I read a news, but the reliability of the news isn't sure. Some people said that Tiffany's mushroom hairstyle was actually made in the past, and people just mistook it as a recent change.

EDIT: Oh I think the mushroom hair news is obviously fake; the news was deleted already... couldn't find it.

Jessica, however, I'm not sure if she really orchestrated a change. Here is a photo of her "rumoured" new hairstyle. Isn't it pretty? She looks so mature and trendy! But there are also people who said that the picture is photoshopped, not real.



EDIT: Oh I found some new pictures! I wonder what are they for. Jessica has straight hair! Oh my! This is so confusing! I hope it's temporary...
