i saw that on the website too. looked super confusing. also, the girl 3 lines down on the left side looks alot like tavia to me.

Okay, wait a minute, I look at the chart again and it's actually 5 generations. The Charmaine from the 60s (the 3rd story) is actually the granddaughter of the Charmaine from the 40/50s (the 2nd story). Wonder what happen to the third generation? SOOOO CONFUSING....

Man, I know, just started with the first episode, can't wait to see how charmaine and joe act out the other people, it's going to get me confused, but I think this is pretty neat and daring for tvb to do and challenging for the actors themselves.

no, sammul is in both the 1st and 4th generation...
he's just not important enough in the 4th generation to get on the char map

Haaizz... you all just making it so confusing for yourself. Yeah, mayb the map is confusing but just watch the serie! Then it isn't that confusing at all! And if it still is Charmain's narration will help you out. And I think it's prety cool that Charmaine and Joe is a pair in each century, it wouldn't be a nice serie if Charmaine had another partner in each story. And I don't think tvb is that stupid to use Joe in each century as a different person, I think they will have a good explanation for it, just watch.

the map aint confusing but on the actual film i think from the 50 to the 60s is quite confusing....

I think the character map just makes it look confusing but in the series, it's actually not that interesting. the only weird thing is that no one ever recognizes that they look alike like that "Wong Jee Gwun" and her mother, "Aie Yue Fung" looks the same or at least similar and no one notices that the Joes look alike like..."Yue Chi" and "Lee Gut Chang" look alike...but that's just minor. What I don't understand the most is what happened to the 3rd generation ("Dai See Ga"'s grandmother). They totally just skipped over her. I think they shoulda at least said what happened to her. They didn't even say a word about the 3rd generation!

i think ur wrong, i like how it kept going on, it liek a never ending story, it funny because i can relate to the movie, my family has the same history only in the movie she's lucky enough to know what happen in her generation, mines i have no idea just dat all the male in my family dies like there no father or grandma, lol. but yeah it like help me make up and feel believe strongly about my furture, and it show us about how much life change. I jsut don't like about the whole movie is the ending, it was kinda stuipd, and confusin most of all
