Princess Bernice Liu and Prince Kenneth Ma captured our hearts when they came onscreen together as Man Tai Bo & Koon Ching Wan in Into Thin Air. Despite the limited screen time, the couple managed to shine and steal the show. During the airing of the series, the forums became populated with a rush of Bernice-Kenneth fans, who came to be lovingly known as BK fans. Their next pairing onscreen in The Brink of Law, as ah Wing and ah Ming, led many fans to declare that despite Kenneth's small guest role, he and Bernice had much more chemistry and loving gestures in the first 8 episodes compared to Bernice and Steven in the entire series.

While the BK-pairing may not house the most numerous nor the most active fanbase, they have managed to leave a permanent mark in our hearts and memories. Without a doubt, BK is always within the top 3 or top 4 lists of the pairings for Bernice and Kenneth individually.

We await anxiously and excitedly for the next time...or maybe even "times" when TVB pairs this gorgeous and charming pair together again!

This was an advertising miniseries for Houses/Villages in China
(eg. The ones like Tavia lived in in TBBOL).
Cast: Bernice, Kenneth, Sammul Chan, Heidi Chu, Waise Lee, Yvonne Lam

The story is about two Realtors, Kenneth & Sammul. Kenneth is the lazy and more assertive one. Bernice is Waise's (he is both guys' sifu/boss) sister who just came w/ friend Heidi to visit.Kenneth has always had a crush on Bernice as she has come during the summers. This is Sammul's 1st time meeting her, h/e & he falls for her too.
Kenneth pretends to have a stomach ache and sneaks off work so he could hang out w/ Bernice. They have a good time together, going around to eat and Karaoke, where both sing (Kenneth sings Kelly Chen's FaFa World & Bernice sings an English song). Kenneth, gets really tired from their trip, showing signs that maybe he didn't actually fake his illness.
Sammul soon becomes jealous and gets in a fight w/ Kenneth because he mistakens that Kenneth is taking advantage of Bernice (when actually he was helping her regain balance). The once bestfriends are at odds. During this time, Bernice realizes she has feelings for Sammul.
Heidi consoles Kenneth, asking him to think clearly about whether he really likes Bernice or whether it's an infatuation. He thinks about it and then he takes the initiative to befriend Sammul again. They promise to be friends and let Bernice choose whoever she wants to.
At the end, BS end up together & Kenneth ends up w/ Heidi.

(if anything. I watched this b4 ITA & already really liked BK. Since Sammul was more popular back then, he was paired w/ Bernice. Things sure do change. Also, BK had so many more traveling /outdoor scenes!)

I LOVED them together in ITA. IMO, so far, it has been the best pairing for either of them in a series. Personally I didn't find Moses and Bernice had that much chemistry in Love Bond (Bernice and Kenneth had more!) They had A LOT of chemistry in ITA. I loved how shy Kenneth was and how flirty Bernice was. The scenes with Bernice making fun of Kenneth were so CUTE!

Yea I liked their pairing in ITA, they matched alot, Kenneth the shy guy and Bernice the outgoing girl. Weird how they're sort of like that in real life too. I wonder if they're good friends. I know Kenneth's good friends with both Rain and Sharon but I wonder. I really liked the pairing after that series. When I heard the possibility of Triumph in the Skie II I was like if they have Bernice in there, I'm crossing my fingers for them to be together again. Unfortunately the filming was canceled. I was thinking how since the storyline is totally different it'd be nice to see Kenneth as a smart and mature person cause that's how he is in real life in a way since he's got a degree in mechanical engineering. I'm still hoping he'd get a chance at an emotional character, I believe he can handle it well. Unfortunately TVB is mostly comedies so not much chances with something like that. When it comes to emotional scenes, guys don't get that much of that in TVB.

Plus one coincedental thing is that both went to the same school. Kenneth graduated from University of British Columbia but since he's older than her they probably never knew each other. I just find that very interesting. Not sure if Bernice graduated from it, just know that she was going there.

I them together!!!! I absolutely adore them...ITA was just an amazing showcase of their chemistry!!! it was the best pairing so far for either one of them! They are both tall and very compatible looking!

So upset that BOL would not be another Bernice and Kenneth pairing!! But they have totally diff personalities than in ITA!

Personally I dont think they are each other's type for a partner. I'm not sure if they are even good friends off-screen. They both have a very different circle of friends.

Yea I knew they went to the same college years ago even before they paired up in ITA. I noticed that right away when I read where Bernice went to school. I thought it looked really similar to Kenneth's school so I went to his website to check and it was really the same college.

I like them pairing in series since they can really make each other's character shine and stand out but I feel Bernice likes outgoing and funny guys that can crack jokes more than the type Kenneth is.

OMG, you guys..are any of you frustrated watching BOL??? Even though I'm a Bernice fan, she is just not ALIVE in the series...EXCEPT for her scenes with Kenneth!!!! I haven't watched TBOL yet (omg I know, *SHAME*) And I don't think I will be able to anymore =[

But they were SO CUTE in Into Thin Air. Soooo adorable. Their last scene outside the pub REALLY reminds me of the scene where Gigi and Chilam do that awesome kiss in the ancient costume outside the pub in Shades of Truth. I didn't really like the plot that much in ITA, but I kept watching mainly because of Bernice and Kenneth and *gushes* Kenneth was so ADORABLE in it. *loves*

I don't really like Bernice much unless she's with Kenneth because they are just so compatible and SQUEE.
