Hi again guys, haven't been here for a while, but I gather from your comments that F.T Island's CD has reached Malaysian stores!!! Am I right? Please say I'm right, lol. But is it really RM 70??? Gosh....that IS a pretty high price, and I'm kinda broke right now T.T But I guess I"ll manage...why is it so xpensive, anyways?
And are they really going to the States for a concert?? Wow...I mean, if u get to USA, you know you've made it big. Haha, I hope they do that! And I hope they don't neglect their studies too much...but I heard they practice for like 14 hours a day, which must be so tiring! Can't wait for their next album.

Well its not like a US debute every year Cali holds the korean music festival... last year they had it at the Hollywood bowl but FT wasnt there cuz they havent debuted. This year is gonna be in LA. Technically the guys didnt make it big... they just got an invitations along wit ha bunch of others to attend the korean music festival. but i guess they dont just invite nobodys so i guess that means the guys do have something

Why you should go to FT Island 1st Live in Malaysia 2008 this coming 30th March 2008.

1. The concert will be a full concert with solo and surprise performances.

2. The concert aims to be a Korean concert experience with each concert goers given a free gift bag filled with concert supporting items and freebies. The concert aims to create a sea of yellow on concert day. (FT.Island Singapore fans can purchase our FC shirt/hamper for concert day.)
Concert supporting items is similar to what the fans in Korea have (balloons etc) as it is important for fans to really feel as if they are in Korea supporting FT Island. There has never been a Korean concert in Malaysia before that has given out free supporting items to fans. This is the first time.

3. Venue are specifically chosen as it gives out a 'personalized' feel to it. As this is the first time ever FT is coming to Malaysia, we would like them to reach out to all. So even if you purchase the cheapest tickets, you will be able to enjoy the concert fully.

Following the mega popularity of Meteor Garden first in Taiwan back in 2001 and then subsequently Hanayori Dango in Japan in recent years, Korea is also set to have its very own version of Meteor Garden in 2008.

Popular Japanese anime, Hanayori Dango will be adapated into a Korean drama. The Taiwanese and Japanese version of the television drama has achieved phenomenal ratings during its run and the Japanese version which was shown on cable television achieved pretty good ratings and earning lots of fans in the process. The company which will be producing this is Group Eight whose previous works were Goong S: Prince Hours and Fantasy Couple. The Japanese rights holder decided to work with Group Eight after learning about it’s production capability after viewing Goong S.

By releasing this exciting news first, Group Eight has created lots of anticipation and hype over who will be taking the roles ahead of the actual casting. Many netizens in fact are already posting and discussing furiously over who their ideal cast should be since the news broke yesterday.

With regards to the Korean F4, the production team revealed, “We will be choosing based on their similarities with the anime characters. We won’t be choosing based on how popular or how well-known they are.” The Korean version of Hanayori Dango is set at 24 episodes, each clocking in at 70 minutes and will be shown on television in the latter part of 2008.

I voted for Hong Ki! It would be awesome if he could be in it and as Hanazawa Rui. He is my favorite character in the show. Too bad he doesn’t have a lot of votes. People should vote for him because this could be an awesome opportunity for him. I can so see Jaejin as Soujiroh.

Honestly.. i hope that Hong Ki looses in the polls. Think about girls... you have all seen Hana Yori Dango right? Riu falls for Shan Cai and vice versa... ok now look at the leading females. I think HongKi would be better off as DaoMingSi. Anyway, most of the actors/actresses suggested for the roles are a bit past the age of the actual characters. It'd be pretty cool if F.T Island got the four roles and one of the younger girls got ShanCai. Then again, I don't want them to be known for something that two other countries have already DONE, and possible get compared. I want them to be able to be known for something totally ORIGINAL, preferably their music.

I actually saw the guys on the newspaper, and i thought - oh, ANOTHER k-pop boyband...then I read on and omg, they're MY age! And they play instruments! I researched on youtube and, like you, lovesick got me. I think it's a pity they can't play live all the time, but when they do, they ROCK! Just tht they're a pretty new group and a lot of their videos aren't subbed *sob* Guess i'll just wait...do you watch videos of them?

The CDs MIGHT be, haven't checked yet. But yeah, idol CDs are always a rip-off, and as much as I like F.T island's music playing, you can't deny that quite a large part of their fans must like them for their faces as much as anything else. Including me. Still debating abt whether to buy their album if it's out...photobooks don't really hold that much of an attraction for me (don't kill me!), but I DO like their songs. Except when HongKi puts on a cutesy voice, like in Reo Reo. I'm just not into that kind of voice.......he sounds much more normal on Lovesick and Thunder. But that's just me. Can you get their album in the States?

Maybe if they remake this drama when he is older he can do it, but then that would be too much since they already have a Taiwanese and Japanese version. I wonder what Hongki thinks about getting nominated to play one of the characters on there.
