Synopsis

The life of Go Eun Chan (Yoon Eun Hye) is not easy; she works many jobs to pay off debts and even gave up her feminine image. Choi Han Kyul (Gong Yoo) is the heir of a big food company, but his grandmother wants him to settle down, so she arranged many dates for him. After Eun Chan bumped into Han Kyul and was mistaken for a boy, Han Kyul decided to hire Eun Chan to be his gay lover in order to avoid the arranged dates. Desperately in need of money, Eun Chan had no choice but to accept. Han Kyul's grandmother also made Han Kyul in charge of a filthy coffee shop in danger of being bankrupt. Eun Chan begged to work at the coffee shop, and not long after, feelings start to spark, except, how would Han Kyul accept his "homosexuality"?

first photoshoot according to news reports will be on April 25th, they will start shooting next month and it will be aired in July.

YEH is in Japan with her parents right now resting and recuperating from her health problems...she will be back in time for the photoshoot.

4/10/07 – Yoon Eun Hye, Lee Sun Gyoon, and Gong Yoo (윤은혜, 이선균, 공유) will lead the 16-episode Monday-Tuesday drama “Coffee Prince Number One Shop (커피프린스 1호점)” scheduled to be aired by MBC on 7/16, following the final episode of “Air City”.



This drama is adapted from a romantic novel bearing the same title written by writer Lee Sun Mi (이선미). The heroine disguises herself as a man in order to avoid an arranged marriage. She works in a coffee specialty shop and then falls in love with the president of the shop.

YEH plays the heroine Go Eun Chae (고은채) who wears male attires to pretend as a homosexual. GY plays the main male character Choi Han Gyul (최한결) who is the president of the coffee shop and has good manner. LSG plays the role Choi Han Sung (최한성) who is a movie musical director and is Han Gyul’s elder cousin. Han Sung falls in love with a women (the second lead actress is undecided yet) who once was his first love he met 8 years ago.

The filming is scheduled to start around the end of April. YEH’s last drama was “The Man in the Vineyard (KBS2, 2006) and GY’s latest drama was “One Fine Day (MBC, 2006)”. LSG just finished the drama “White Giant Tower”.

Ha Rim is the first to find out Eun Chan is a she.

Eun Chan's family used to be a well-off family until the father passed away. The mother still spends like they're a well off family, and Eun Chan has done a variety of jobs to pay off debts.

One of the most anticipated series of this year for me. I like GY's acting - always - and the girl had me in stitches in Goong. Story sounds fun and should be tantalising; reminds me of Hana Kimi; but Kr series are almost always more dramatic!

yeah i agree it's definitely the most anticipated series of this year. This series isn't supposed to air till July but it already has 21 pages in soompi.

A lot of people are saying that this will be another hit like My Girl, Goong and Full House.

for her to cut off her long hair, her crowning glory was a huge sacrifice on her part....we should be happy cause this shows how professional and passionate she is as an actress. I mean her role for Coffee Prince she's supposed to look like a boy, so I guess she managed to accomplish that.

Nope it's not just a wig...infact she cut it that short because she refused to wear a wig so she can stay true to her role...yeah she looks nice with long hair, but she is an actress we should be applauding her for her courage and professionalism as an actress. Not many actresses are willing to chop off their hair for a role

Okay...at first, i wasn't very thrilled about "Coffee Prince" but after seeing all the pictures, I just CAN'T WAIT to see it noww!! I'm guessing it will come out later this year!! =D

Anyways, I'm getting used to YEH's short hair now! =) She still looks VERY pretty and cute with short hair! lol & like everyone else, i was SUPER surprised when she cut it off since I'm so used to the long hair! '

I'm anticipating Yoon Eun-Hye in this drama. She's really improving in her acting skills. She looks the same to me with short hair, just now her hair is short. She kinda looks unhappy though. I'm not completely sure what the show is about, but if it's two cousins fighting over her like lavendar_rain stated, kinda reminds me of the scenario in Goong, but the plot is different.
