i really want to see this series in subs!!! I saw the first 2 episodes and it's pretty good. I understand the vietnamese part but not the korean. Plus when the main actress spoke in vietnamese, I had a hard time understanding too so. But I think this series is great. I heard that it's 50 episode long.

I heard this drama has good ratings in Korea. I really enjoyed watching Hanoi's Bride because it's short and sweet, but dang...this serie is 50 episodes long??? I'm afraid it's too long for my taste because long drama seems to be very draggy.

ppl who've watched this...please let me know if this is worth a try...thanks...

ahh...guess not many ppl in this forum are interested this drama...

I've watched up to 12 episodes w/English sub...although I was really hesitated to start because of the 50 eps...but I really enjoyed it so far. The pace just seems right...not draggy at all...

One thing that bugged me is the lead actresses...sometimes I find the way she talked and act is really annoying...but it's understandable since they wanted her to be a Viet girl (which I don't think Viet girl actually acted that naive)...hopefully as the drama unfold...she will become confident and more feminine.....

I like this drama too...I've watched till episode 14 with Eng subs, it's great seeing how she fought to be together with Ahjushi...
Can't wait to see what will happen next.

I didn't even know the total episode was 50 when I started to watch it until after I got to like episode 10 or so. Then I was like oh crap 50 episodes?! -_- I didn't stop though because I'm just curious of what would happen. I guess it's sort of reasonable to be 50 episodes.. since healing takes time.. especially when it comes to love and trusting others etc.

I'm on episode 17 and it's getting interesting.. it's starting to show the other evil girl's side of the story. Oh and I think she talks weird because in the drama she's not fluent in Korean yet and is still learning so the tone is a little off.

So far, it's addictive. If you like Pure 19, you'll like Golden Bride too - as heartwarming and touching.

But there're criticisms abt the lead actress - a half Vietnamese, abt her acting though, that it's exaggerated. You'll find that both leads (Lee Young Ah and Song Chang Ui) aren't good-looking, unlike Koo Hye San and Suh Ji Suk in Pure 19, of course.

However, I find the intricating plot makes up for this. And I especially like the close relationship between the mother-in-law and Jin Joo. Also the earlier part, when Jin Joo was a pillar of support for Jun Woo and how she helped him overcome his phobia.

Now the drama is going to be extended from 50 to 70, and I'm anticipating what Ji Young is going to do to take vengeance.

I have uploaded (raw HQ) videos of Episodes 39-52 on my Golden Bride veoh channel: http://www.veoh.com/channels/gb2007

I update it to the latest episodes every week, so check it out! ^^~

It's a really good drama, even after so many episodes, I always want to watch the next one.

Two characters probably a lot of us don't like too much: Ok Ji Young and Mr.Kim

i find golden bride a really nice drama, it was well-balanced.. cast exposure, lines, character developments were superb :) hearing how it is 64-episodes long may sound boring.. but i assure you that it is worth every episode :D

loved it! XD

I love Pure 19 but I don't like golden bride. I think their chemistry are not there. I agree that the two main lead are not good looking at all. I have watched till episode 20 but I don't think I will continue watching further because the storyline seems to be a bit stupid (sorry for those who love golden bride but I just don't like it)

I saw some scenes at the video rental shop and am really intrigued by the storyline....

Its different from other K-dramas which i had came across...
Umm.... the main leads may not have very outstanding looks but after watching them for a while, i actually thin they are good looking T.T

btw, which episode was the swimming scene?

I had enjoyed this drama & thought of re-watching some parts

Would be good if they release the DVD version of this drama as well.

VCD seems too cumbersome for storage lol....

I liked those photo shots which was shown after each episode. Some are real-life photos i think but i m not sure if they are related to the crew or just shots which the crew had gathered @the filming sites.

Hope they can release some documentaries on those behind the scenes as well....

woowooooww! this drama is really nice.. at first, i only watched it because there's a KIM HEECHUL on it..
Posted Image

but as i keep on watching it, i started getting obsess with it.

the story is really amazing or sorta TOUCHING.. however, i didn't finish it because it's quite long and i left my country when the drama is still aired in the middle-line of the story.. so its kinda annoying.. ANYWAY, heenim's acting skill is really good!!! EVERYBODY's acting skills is really really nice no bad or poor at all.. :thumbsup

Pretty good, I'm viet, so my mom was so into it when we watched this, and she commented on all the mistakes on the viet part. :D I didn't care, thought it was touching.
