I dont like Ah Ka's role just seems to pretentious, neither did I like his older role.
The brothers&sisters in the series just seem to be too childish engaging in kid's time games and play which are quite pathetic really.
Ho Ma seems to be the god of the family that there's nothing could trouble her and whenever she opens her mouth the problem will be resolved ....

"Moonlight Resonances" Most Powerful of 2008 (TVB Series Ratings '08 in Review)
With ATV being weak and the good ratings, TVB becomes the TV Rating King, this year "Moonlight Resonances" carrying on from last year's "Heart of Greed" have once again had audience fall into "drama fever" as they chased after each episode. The finale reached 50 points, imposing a high-hand and hard for ATV to catch up. Unfortunately the current broadcasting series have not reached its breakthrough yet. 80 episodes long series "The Gem of Life" ratings have been going downhill, Liza Wang and Charmaine Sheh's collaboration TVB Anniversary series "When Easterly Showers on the Sunny West" was the second lowest rating of 2008, everyone "dropped their glasses". Currently the most anticipated series for next year includes "Burning Flames III", "E.U", "The Grand Entrepreneurs" and "D.I.E II". It is counted on those series to turn the tide and make the ratings a success.
Recently the financial tsunami has sparked panics, maybe that's affecting the viewership and the audiences mood to watch TV? Last week, "The Gem of Life" ratings continue to fall, receiving only 25 points along with "Pages of Treasures" (approximately 1.57 million viewers tuned in).
ATV's News Program ratings stabled
As ATV has always had low ratings, even through stormy days, grand productions, the ratings do not have much change. Earlier, in only the short period of 12 days, CEO of ATV (Wong Wai Gei) said that ATV's departmart of public information needs to reduce its staff and plans for a massive layoff, which will include the two main announcers. In the end, only one of the announcers remained on the program. Actually ATV's news program has always had pretty good ratings, Monday-Saturday night news will usually get 7-9 points, Sunday will usually increase to 10 points. As for the regular cooking and food shows, many times the ratings will increase to double digits. There seems to be a group of audiences that supports them.
"The Jewels in the Palace" the 50 Point Record
This year TVB's top 10 series helped the ratings including "Moonlight Resonances" averaged 34.8 points (approximately 2.19 million viewers) and the finale of 50 points (appromixately 3.15 million viewers), their ratings have always been a help. Earlier Ha Yu and Michelle Yim won the TV King and Queen Title, their popularity has continue to rise. The "HOG Fever" has been big for years 2007-2008. 40 Episode "Moonlight Resonances" successfully captured audience attention since its first day of broadcast, TV ratings started out high and the whole series average 34.8 points, with the finale as 50 points, breaking the "Jewels in the Place" record and helped Hong Kong series get some pride back.
"Legend of the Demigods" Last in line with the Lowest Ratings
Ranked #2 is Roger Kwok and Sonjia Kwok's "D.I.E", averaging 33.7 points (approximately 2.12 million viewers), the finale reached 42 points (appromixately 2.64 million viewers). The series development has attracted audience's hearts as they felt pity for the storyline. Originally the storyline had Roger Kwok's character (Yue Sir) die, but in the end TVB decided to make an alternative happy ending, bringing "lan GAG", which did not do much change. Ranked #3 is Liza Wang and Myolie Wu's collaboration of "War of In-Laws II", averaging 32.6 points (approximately 2.05 million viewers), highest 41 points (approximately 2.58 million viewers). But Liza Wang's other TVB anniversary series with Charmaine Sheh did not do as well, averaging only 27.6 points (approximately 1.74 million viewers) - placing in second for the line up in the lowest rating of the year. The lowest rating series of the year is Linda Chung, Sunny Chan and Benny Chan's anicent series "Legend of the Demigods", which only got 26.5 points on average (approximately 1.67 million viewers).

The cast was good and the pair-up is very good also.....
somehow, i would like to have a family like this where siblings will stood up for one another & have fun with each other plus a mummy like "hor ma" who may not be highly educated but is some1 who instill in the correct values in the children and took care of every1 although not all are her real kids....
"The greatness of Mother's Love"...

I'm glad they finally got on track and Yan Hung is finally the real villain. There have been so many 小人 (small bad guy) in this show, such as Ka-mei, Yan tse, Ah Kung, Hung's ex husband and Sa Yi (who thankfully has changed for the better). I'm excited that Yan Hung is finally accumulating her empire and sides have emerged in the Kam household. Previously it used to be unclear.
On one side we would have Hor, Ka, Ho, Yuet, Hing, Chung, Gong gong etc,
On another side we would have Hung, Kung, Kung's Ma, and the company.
Jo ba, Kam Lo Tai, Tsau/Sum Lui, Sa-yi, Ka-mei would always be undecided and hopping in between sides.
It's quite unrealistic that peace can still reign when a family has been torn apart like this.
Fortunately, boundaries are clearer now. Joba, KLT, Sayi have joined "Hor", and Ka-mei, Tsau have joined "Hung". Although if I were to be picky, it's hard to see when they switch boundaries, because characters are often on on-off relationships with each other, an example would be Gong Gong, who threw his shoe at Jo Ba in anger, and yet next episode they are having fun dining at Hor Ma's. Another example is how KamLoTai hates Hor ma's guts all along, but suddenly after she nearly dies she is on Hor Ma's side and turns viciously against Hung. Can an old woman (or anybody for that matter) change so quickly overnight??? This gives audience a very confused perception and ultimately leads us to wonder if this is just to build up the drama and lead us round in circles.
Realism apart, this drama is worth a good watch. While I am glad that the draggy irrelevant bits and pieces of petty scheming and love triangles are evidently coming to an end as they reach the grand climax (Hung Yi's endgame), it keeps the drama alive. At least now audience are given something definite to HATE about - Yan Hung. She is now the mastermind.
I still have so many questions. Isn't Jo Ba the cause of all this? Why would Hung backstab her own 'sis' Hor Ma? Why did Hung still choose to be a Third Party when her own husband Keung left her for another Third Part mistress? Is Sayi good or bad? But it's ok, look over all this, after all its a show. Let us all sit back and watch as Hung Yi attempts a massive company overhaul and Jo, Hor and the children race to stop her from getting the upperhand. 7 more episodes, there's sure to be much less wishy-washy and much more REAL drama.
PS: Love the slaps.

Just watched the ending. Excellent show, even know there are some unrealistic themes. TVB always has a way of giving a happy ending even when the plot goes into deep cut-throat tension.
My favourite scene was when Hung argued with her daughter and that slap was even better than the “glasses off, Hor Ma” slap! It was very realistic and kinda sad to see all her lackeys betraying her one by one – first Ga Mei then Yi Po then now her Sum-Lui.
You can see how she loses it after slapping her daughter and tries to make everyone believe that she still has one person on her side – Mama. Since dead men don’t talk, she knows that she can twist whatever Mama says into helping her but sadly no one believes. In fact, Mama’s “last words” to her are actually her own evil thoughts and desires; she wants Cho and Hor to break up, as well as Tsau and Ho. Eventually when she cried and yelled out “Mhm moi ham!!!” (i shall not cry) you can see how she has lost her own endgame. I like how we got to see the real Hung, it was like peeling an onion, we were seeing all her hypocritical masks being pulled off layer by layer until her very core – a vulnerable vengeful woman.
Excellent portrayal by Michlle Yim too, I might add.

Moonlight Resonance Dinner Celebration
Credits: Sakura_drop @ Simply FungYi
Original Article credits: Apple daily
Yesterday night Moonlight Resonance cast held a celebration dinner at Central Wing Lung Bank Building hosted by TVB Vice Chairman Executive( i think that is what he is not sure ) Leung Nai Pang they had dinner in the top floor of the building and cast that attended includes Lee Si Kei, Raymond Lam, Moses Chan. Kate Tsui, Lee Heung Kam, Suzanna Kwan, Tavia Yeung , Lai Lok Yi & Louis Yeun. Also TVB Executives Stephen Chan, Catherine Tsang & Virgina Lok were also present
Leung Nai Pang presented 6 bottles of Red Wine for everyone to drink, Raymond Lam And Louis Yeun drank wine until their faces were all red before the dinner had ended. Raymond Lam who is rumour to have a high chance of winning Best Actor said that he doesn't drink red win but Maotai ( some type of Chinese liquor). The nights big joke was by Moses Chan to Raymond Lam when he said " As the present position of TV king i hope that this year you will become TV king" this made Raymond very happy so they both made a toast together drinking the Maotao but secretly Moses swapped his Maotai ( its like clear liquor) with water. As Raymond was in a high mood he kept drinking till his face turned red. In fact TVB high levels already expected Raymond to drink a lot so they advised him not to drive his car there.
Also fighting for best supporting actress award Lee Heung Kam and Tavia Yeung were present at the dinner but they both supported each other to win the award. What is most important is the friendship and competing is just second place for them.
This is so cool. I've always wondered how they communicate with each other in real life. I wish I was part of them!
This is one of the best dramas i've ever watched. I totally love this better than HOG.
Ah Ka and Ah Yuet were my favourite characters.
KaYuet Forever!
