Andy hand picked Barbie Hsu in new $1.5 billion film

Barbie Hsu's acting in the latest movie Connected may be debatable, when she's promoting this movie in Hong Kong, she surprised all by saying she would like to be the wife of Andy Lau as he cares a lot for his lover. Her dream will come true as director Wong Jing and arts director Ching Siu-Tung will collaborate a new film currently titled as Future Cop which will pair Andy and Barbie as lover of different dimensions.

The film will have a budget of $1.5 billion renminbi, the script was changed 19 times before Andy take up the offer, he also hand-picked Barbie to be cast in the film as he said that he was interviewed by her before and feel that there will be sparks when they collaborate for the first time on the silver screen. In the film, Andy will be a police inspector from 2085 whom accidentally returned to 2010 to smash an international group of criminals.

It is heard that after busy with the Olympic Games, Ching Siu-Tung had already thinking of the high risk stunts that Andy and Barbie could do. The film is scheduled to start shooting next month, there will be location shooting in Dubai, shooting will complete at the end of the year. In early 2009, the film will be passed to the team whom did the special effects for The Dark Knight, it will be ready to open in the cinemas during 2009 Chinese New Year holidays.

Wong Jing to Direct Future Cops Next Month

Director Wong Jing is teaming up with martial arts choreographer Ching Siu Tung on a loose remake of Future Cops. Future Cops (tentative) is budgeted at 150m yuan and Andy Lau and Barbie Hsu are playing leads. Andy Lau agrees to joining only after the script went through 19 revisions, and also picks Barbie Hsu, who showed excellent performance in Connected, as his co-star.

Andy Lau was interviewed by Barbie Hsu sometime back, and thought that they would have great chemistry together. It's like a dream come true for Barbie Hsu to work with her idol. Andy Lau reprises his role as a cop from 2085 who accidentally returns to 2010, and teams up with a female cop Barbie Hsu to bust a criminal organisation.

Ching Siu Tung has been working on choreographing the film since the closing ceremony of Beijing Olympics, coming up with exotic moves for Andy Lau and Barbie Hsu.

Filming begins next month and is expected to be completed by end of the year, after which post-production, including special effects, will be carried out. They're planning to go to exotic locales like Dubai to do location filming. Future Cops is slated for year end release in 2009. Sina

B: Yes, my younger sister is very much engaged to her marriage, with in-laws who love her dearly, a supportive husband, looks like theyre very much in love. I don't envy her, instead I'll be happier than her. Xiao S made me worry somcuh especially during our childhood, now she's stable, how could I be unhappy?

Q: Between you and your sister, which one is valiant, and which one is weak?

B: Given Xiao S nature, she is actually very smart, and I may seem to be weak, but in fact I'm really strong.

Q: Are you not worried of being an old maid?

B: I'm not worried about that, I feel that Ive become a "wild animal", I'm free and very relaxed, "old maid"? love shoud not have a deadline, If i can't really find a man, If Im really to become an old maid, its not something odd.

Q: If you won't find you man, how could you have a child?

B: I love kids, but I don't want to have my own. If I have one, its a huge responsiblity for me, must take care of him, educate him, and I can't deal with that.

Q: You acted with Louis Koo in "Connected", what do you think oh him?

B: I like him very much, he's one actor who performs with creativity. He knows how to make the audience like him (think its sex appeal?) I think his scene where he was very scared is really sexy. I think he looks cool, and also childish inside.

Q: Heard that it was your idea to have a hug scene with Louis?

B: Yes, originally, we dont need to hug, but I really wanted to hug him so I requested the director to add that scene.


Q: You love beauty, and you have also worked with handsome men, heard that they also love beauty, and have asked for your advice on cosmetics, right?

B: Yes, Xiao Zhu (Show Luo) really likes to look good, he must always have a mirror with him. He also does manicure, and wears black nail polish frequently, and must certainly wear make up.

Vanness is not exceptional. I buy facial masks and save half of it for him, because he likes facials.

As for Jerry Yan, he does not pay much attention on his looks, people like spreading rumors like he's gay. I can assure you my answer, he's not Gay! he is really a Man!

How I wish they hv contact with one another & become friends like vanness but i'm not saying they are enemies. I wonder If barbie & ken still communicates with one another ? Barbie is so lucky that she has many friends who are good looking & popular like her.

I really miss Jerry & barbie's tandem as well as ZZ & barbie's tandem.

Barbie must known Jerry Yan so well to say he is not gay. And if she says he is not gay,
then I should believe her. Barbie is always true and honest with her words.

I wish there's a film company that would produce a movie that would bring the tandem of
Jerry and Barbie on the wide screen. I still believe they have a great following until now.
It only needs a beautiful love story to guarantee it's box-office hit.

Just end up watching MG I and there's no doubt, Jerry and Barbie still has the best chemistry

Gui Ya Lei and Barbie Xu's collaboration in "Eat Drink Man Woman", how is it possible?

Salon Movie Company and Hengdian Film & TV will be collaborating to make series of projects, they have agreed to make 9 movies, including "Hua Mu Lan" and Ang Lee's "Eat Drink Man Woman" sequel.

Salon Movie Company and Hengdian Film & TV will also team up with "Crounching Tiger Hidden Dragon" Xu Ligong for the sequel of "Eat Drink Man Woman". This sequel is said to be 2.9 million dollar project. The planned line-up of actors include Gui Ya Lei and recently renowned movie star Barbie Xu.

it was when she attended cest mon paris fashione event with xiao s and vanness, the other one was in bluemarine event, i wonder how would she look like if her hair is down and with bangs..
