Hi peeps! ^_^* I listen to different types of music... and have listened to some Thai music.. and tried to do some searching but wasn't really able to find anything. So was wondering if u could recommend any songs, artists or bands for me to check out. I'm into nearly every type of music, from Rnb, hip hop, rap, rock, indie, classical pop, pop and alternative... Thanks :P

kinda random but isnt it annoying when you post up a thread and like over 20 view it but nobody posts anything??? its like...why bother opening it if you arent gonna answer or reply or anythin...

anyways,if you are gong to thai music i suggest golf and mike.they're brothers golf is the other one and mike is the younger one but mike is taller xDD

and yeah they are a duo..not seperate singers...they are my absolute favourite singers from thailand for now haha.also they've went to japan before and recorded a few japnese songs,so you might find them singing in japanese on youtube or somthng >.> annnnd they kina went under JE and sang with NEWS' yamashia tomoshia...xDD is like a biography im doing =PPP

they've also went to korea(more specific is s. korea =P you should know jkjkj) and recorded one or more songs in korean?yah.under SM entertainment

I suggest Groove Riders (they have a nice funky style, and the lead's vocals are real good), Thaitanium (hip-hop group, if you are familiar with Japan's m-flo you will know they were featured on m-flo's album before) and Ebola (a rock band). Youtube them. You might find other bands along the way. :) Pity I don't get to listen to much Thai music cos I'm all the way in Singapore, and am a newbie myself, but so far those three I managed to discover and really like.

If you liked Golf and Mike perhaps you could check out artistes under their company G-Junior? Lots of young artistes. A bit like the idol industries of other Asian countries.

If you want a great voice...you have to listen to Aof Pongsak, he's a very powerful singer, with soulful voice...all his hits are very catchy...it's the kind that sticks to your head forever

I love Ice Saranyu, his voice is unique, but his songs are really fun, and at times very meaningful

If you haven't already, I highly recommend that you listen to the Peck Aof Ice collaboration...their voices are good individually, but combined is even better...plus, they all have great personalities.

"cheewit tee kard ter" is also my favorite Thai song :thumbsup . I know it is old now, but I just heard it not too long ago. I watched Goong and I like its soundtrack. My friend told me that they have the Thai version of the song, and this song has been my favorite Thai song ever since.

I don't really know newer Thai songs, since I don't live in Thailand and haven't been updated.

Here's the link to the song:

So I finally started venturing into completely unknown waters on Youtube and looking around for Thai pop music... Up until now I have only known about China Dolls.

So far, I seem to like:
-Girly Berry
-Preppy G
-Yam
-Donut
and some kiddie stuff too like Nong Mai and Nong Benz Junior...

Can anybody recommend some more? Preferably female artists...
Or, better yet, anyone direct me to a site or blog that could help me expand my music collection?

Thanks!
Kab koon krap!

Does anyone else here listen to Thai music? I have around four hundred Thai songs on my computer and I don't even know what the lyrics mean, but the language sounds good in song. My favorite Thai singers/band are Bodyslam, Palmy and Da Endorphine :thumbsup

I've been trying to get more into Thai music because I am Thai but don't listen to much T_T

I'm really stuck on these two songs by Waii right now:

Mai Ruk Ter:
Taam Mai Dtrong Kam Dtop:

I guess it's pop music. She's soo adorable!

If any of you speak Thai, do you ever notice how when people sing in thai, they kind of have an accent even though they speak thai perfectly? Just something I've noticed since I was little...Maybe it's just to make the songs sound good?

The top music artists in Thailand right now are obviously Bie, Bodyslam, Thaitanium, Tor Saksit, K-otic, Palmy, Chin, Golf, Mike, Bird Thongchai (The Forever Superstar of Thailand), actually there are much more.....nowadays there are many great quality artists and songs to come out in Thailand. T-Pop is building up steam in other Asian countries too. For example Thai Dramas are really hot right now in China and seem to be taking over Korean Dramas soon and for Thai movies well that movie with Mario Maurer and Baifern and Hello Stranger are great examples because many other Asian fans seem to love those movies. If you go on Baidu, I believe it is the biggest web portal in China....there are so many topics regarding T-Pop in the discussion boards.
