Super Junior-M (SJ-M), previously referred to as Super Junior-China, is Super Junior's third official sub-unit. The subgroup debuted in China on April 8, 2008 at the 8th Annual Music Chart Awards.

OriginoftheName.
On April 3, 2008, SM Entertainment released the official name of the subgroup, Super Junior-M, with "M" representing the word "Mandarin," expressing the subgroup's ambition to become successful in the Chinese music market not limited to only China. The "M" can also represent a list of other aspects, such as the first letter of their debut album, Me, and also "mi" (Chinese: 迷), which can mean "charismatic" as well as "fan" in Mandarin, the latter meaning referring to their desire to connect with their fans.

MusicStyle.
Super Junior-M's music style falls into the category of mainstream pop, dance, and R&B, similar to the style of their main group, Super Junior. However, instead of singing in their mother tongue, Korean, the group sings in Mandarin instead. Super Junior-M's goal is to bring the Korean pop influence over to the Chinese market, re-representing the hits in Mandarin.

i went to see the suju-m web, and it was like bombarded with tons of messages with the words "suju only13".

anyway it isn't a surprise at all that donghae and siwon are in suju-m along with hannie, cause there's only hae,won,bum and han left in suju that are not in any of the sub groups lmao. i didn't really like it when they changed the suju-c to suju-m cause it sounded kind of weird to me, but well if it's suju china it may cause misunderstandings. with the word mandarin, suju can break into chinese industries from other countries other than china too.

if kibummie is going to be in suju-m, then kihae would be there! just like us being her hahaha. anyway, i saw the vid you posted. OMO hannie's chocolate could be seen! hahaha. just like siwonnie's last time in dont don. man it's hot, this sub group's going to be good, they have good dancers and has good vocalists. I think this will be the most successful sub group compared to kry and trot. what do you think?

well the members are out already! there's 7 of them. hannie, siwon, hae, wook, kyu, henry and zhoumi. i thought it's kind of cool that kyu and wook are in suju-m too, that makes them members of 2 sub groups! but with them it'll strengthen the group's vocals alot. they don't need dancers cause hannie and hae are great dancers already.

wow, there's already a thread for this group? cool!!! i'll be posting here often for sure cuz i'm definitely supporting SuJu M! although i am a pro SJ13 fan and don't think the addition of these 2 new members was necessary, i can see why they did that. i think they need more than one member that can speak chinese fluently so that it won't be just hangeng talking in the interviews and stuff. i'm pretty sure the other members are not fluent in chinese yet even if they can sing. but i think 7 members is a lot already, 5 would be perfect.

i wish heechul and kangin were also in this subgroup tho, cuz it would make the group more lively and funny. all the members chosen for this subgroup are the quiet ones (although they are the hottest).

QuETeuKiE - i kind of understand why kibum wasn't put into SuJu M cuz he only raps and seriously, i don't think it's possible for him to rap in chinese, so he wouldn't be of much use (sorry, not trying to be mean or anything but it's true).

but that also makes me wonder...who will be the rapper in the group? since they will be remaking some of SuJu's hits and most of the songs hv rapping parts. i don't think any of the korean members will be able to do it. hangeng, i can't picture him rapping cuz his soft voice doesn't suit raps. zhou mi, i think is more of a singer, cuz i saw a video of him singing and he's not bad. so i'm betting on henry, and since he knows english i'm sure they'll make him rap in english as well.

SHARM♥이특 - i wasn't very fond of SuJu M's name either, but what you said now really makes sense. now that i think about it, i think they did the right thing about not putting the word "china" in their name cuz it would sound too biased and places like taiwan and other chinese speaking countries wouldn't like it.

(same place where i am living ) and yes, he is the violin boy in Don't Don.

i'm just wondering one thing...if henry and zhou mi will only be active in SuJu M, then what will they do when the other members go back to korea and resume activities as the original SJ? cuz i don't think they will be promoting SuJu M for that long...

i can understand some of them singing in chinese, but some parts, i still have to read the subs to know what they are singing. as for the rap part done by donghae, i cant really understand rapping in chinese is freak dificult, i cant make it myself. and the song was really too fast. furthermore chinese is not their native language, so its even harder for hae oppa to do it. but i must appluad him for doing rather well.
