3rd episode is 16%! perhaps the people who watched the 2nd episode is the same person who watched the 3rd episode and the others who watched the first episode don't plan to watch it anymore LOL I'm being skeptical here, i may not like some things but i'm still going to watch it. i'm curious on when will Pi shows some more expressions with that poker face of his.

Ep 2 seems to get better than ep 1. Lookin fwd to ep 3 with hardsubs soon.
But so far imho, Tomorrow's ep 1 is definitely much more interesting than Code Blue's ep 1 or 2.

ep 2 was pretty good, it was funny when they opened the guys shirt, and when Yui went beserk on the girl with the broken nose. I also thought Toda Erika's crying sceen was really good, seeing her cry almost made me cry.

the drama is running rather dryly and the reason i am watching is because of aragaki yui and the nurse as they seems so comical together.... and of course there is yamapi in there!

episode 1 and 3 had the best action out of all 4 episodes ive seen. (i have episode 5 but i havent seen it yet haha) episode 4 had the most drama tho.

true, this drama doesnt have as much oomph as japanese dramas would usually have. i'm still waiting for that oomph to come out somewhere in the drama. haha and i think it has to do with aizawa. yamapi keeps saying things about the character formation of aizawa as the story progresses and i'm waiting for the climax so im still watching it. aside from the fact that i have the compulsion to watch all medical dramas and that yamapi is in the drama. haha

i really look forward to ep 6 as i seen that the patient that was admitted was arizawa grandmother!

arizawa mention before that he does not have parents and was raised by his grandmother....
the granny situation seems rather critical and a operation might be needed.

this is the first time i seen arizawa hesitate to have a move on the patient!
looking forward to the decision arizawa will be making!

right now i've finished up to the 5th episode and am waiting for the 6th one to come out with subs...this drama isn't exactly great but i find that it's a good time passer...so i take it that yamapi's going to end up with yui? so far i find that he matches better with erika's character

lol this drama isn't that good so far but it's alright. i don't think there will be any romance, or so it seems. yamapi's character is kinda boring = = he barely talks and he has the same expression on his face in like every ep. everyone's character seems a little dry, maybe it's because they have to portray as being serious because they're doctors? =T hope something more exciting will happen in the further ep. will keep watching!! =D

arizawa grandmother was admitted to the hospital after falling and knock her head in the supermarket. when she wakes up after being unconscious for sometime, she could not recognizes her grandson, arizawa!

i almost cried at the part where arizawa brought his grandmother to the supermarket. there the grandmother was saying this like buying alot of food for her grandson as he was always studying so hard and all... it is really a touching grandmother-grandson bond...

yea this drama is basically just your typical medical show...as for the romance, judging from the chart on dramawiki ( Chart ), it looks like there's some type of love triangle between yampi, yui, and erika...but then again, i don't read japanese so i have no clue what it really says

and i definitely notice a lot of flaws in each of the main doctors' characters... yamapi's been nothing but a doorstop in these past five episodes...it's definitely part of his "tough" character, but it's getting boring to watch (at least judging from the spoilers, pi's character breaks down a bit)...yui's also getting annoying with her goody-two-shoes but smart role...erika surprisingly hasn't done anything so far to make me not really like her...but the guy with the glasses is BEYOND annoying for me...he's so incompetent and loud that i can't imagine a real doctor to act like him...but since this is a drama, i bet all four of them pass to become flight doctors in the end

but LOL i'll still be watching

finally! yamapi's pulled out another facial expression besides his usual complete stoic look...i knew that the writers would have yamapi become more "human-like" during the drama and when he did during that scene with his grandmother, it was actually a relief to see him break down...one thing that irked me was how the rest of the three interns were supposedly able to see this scene inside the hospital's store...i can understand how the nurse and the guy with the glasses saw this happening, but umm when the camera panned out, wasn't it shown that the shelves were blocking both yui and erika's views? *shruggy*

and i know that the guy with the glasses (gotta learn his name soon) technically has the most "heart" and uses that to replace his knowledge, etc. but OMG i seriously wanted to smack him when he really started to believe that black magic was at play...and do i sense some type of romance between him and the nurse?

and i thought the elevator scene between erika and yamapi was pretty cute...i wonder if a love triangle really is a-brewing

seems like this drama is getting more interesting...will keep watching

and side note: watching a lot of medical dramas, is the new hot spot for emotional releases and deep conversations the elevator?

^LOL i guess...i just find it funny how almost every medical drama showcase elevators as the place for confessionals in one episode of Code Blue, there was an especially drawn-out conversation that occurred in the elevator and i remembered thinking that it was pretty ridiculous how long the elevator ride was taking *shruggy*

but that guy with the specs (lol i looked up his name -- real name: Asari Yosuke; character's name: Fujikawa Kazuo) is always saying something or other that he shouldn't be i've yet to warm up to his character

i think that my favorite characters so far would have to be ryo's (and can't believe i've yet to mention ryo...she's been playing her character beautifully...i wonder how the law suit will be resolved) and the nurse's...from the previews, it seems as though the next epi will center somewhat more around the nurse...maybe more about her family background will be revealed?

the nurse saejima... the frustration she have to the trainees comes to a conclusion when i found out that she was so bitter to them. at first, i couldn't really put a finger on it...
but her skills are definitely on par as compared to the trainees, esp fujikawa!
it is kinda hilarious when fujikara wanted to give her the credit but she she went on and said it was fujikara who had found the cure!

There are a lot of interesting popular actor in this drama, but the plot doesn't interst so I have to skip, the only drama I have watching this season and looking forward to every week is "Yasuko to Kenji".

ep 6 and 7 were pretty good ^^ the scenes between yamapi and his grandma were touching... aww yamapi crying =[ it made me wanna cry too XD oh yeah and when the nurse was crying in the helicopter, and yamapi was standing outside, and he just closed the door on her, i was like o_O' haha i thought he would go and hug her or something x)) guess i was expecting too much romance of some sort =S i think the nurse's character is one of my favorites, she has a cool personality, she sorta gives off this mysterious vibe. as much as i like yui, i think her character's just boring... == makes me wanna fall asleep every time i watch her LOL. ok maybe not that extreme but u get the picture >__> and erika, i don't reli like how she picks on yui sometimes, dats jus mean XP ok can't wait until ep 8 :]

ep. 7 was my kind of episode they really focused on ryo and the nurse's characters, which i really enjoyed...especially the nurse's storyline with her boyfriend...LOL the scene between her and yamapi in the helicopter was strangely touching...when he slammed the door, i was like wth? too LOL..but that's just his way of helping her cope...he should know what she'd need since they both share the same drive and personality

and i think we can assume that ryo's lawsuit has officially gone away? she's gotten her point of view across already so hopefully the husband has stopped blaming her already

but yea yui's character is SOOOOO freakin' boring! nothing about the writing involves her doing more than looking pretty if not slightly confused...and if erika doesn't have the role of picking on people, then she'd be extremely boring as well

i'm liking the scenes between yamapi and his grandmother...it makes him seem more human...and lol i think i'm finally warming up to the guy with the glasses

i notice the part where aizawa was told off by fujikara...
it might have been fujikara first attempt to tell someone about moral values and i bet that he was really glad when he sees aizawa feeding his grandmother in the end.

saejima breaking down was somewhat unexpected to me as i also pictured her to be a strong character who never break down. aizawa way of comfort might be the best as saejima is a rather headstrong character and aizawa doesn't seem to be a person who is good in comforting others...
but i saw the heli's pilot was trying to stop someone from disturbing them and that was such a laugh!

erika and yui roles doesn't allow them much breakthrough ne?
i was expecting more from their roles....

there's this little girl who has a crush i guess on yamapi, and he's like pretty sweet to her. not that anything happens though of course XP and at the end Kuroda is injured terribly.

so they totally foreshadowed yui's character making a mistake...i just didn't realize what a big mistake it would be...i hope her sensei's hand doesn't have to get amputated

"Code Blue" to get New Year's special

Fuji TV's medical drama series "Code Blue" ended its run on Thursday, but the network has announced that a special two-hour episode will air during the New Year's period at the start of 2009.

According to Video Research Ltd.'s viewership data, the last episode had ratings of 19.5%, putting the entire series average at 15.9%. With the rest of this season's dramas almost over as well, it appears that "Code Blue" will have the highest ratings of the summer.

The special episode is set to take place after the events of the final episode. The main cast has been confirmed as returning, including Tomohisa Yamashita, Yui Aragaki, Erika Toda, Manami Higa, and Yosuke Asari.

Fuji TV has not yet scheduled an exact date for the special.

i likes this dorama, just finished watching it few days ago. can't stand with yamapi's curly hair but it's ok then because it didn't makes me to remind that he was yamapi but he was aizawa. likes aizawa had skill, full of confidence and can makes quick decision.

I really like this. It does remind me of Grey's Anatomy minus the hospital affairs. They even use the elevators has a place to talk!

What is up with Yamapi's hair? Reminded me of Matsujun's curly perm. It was distracting at first but it got interesting. Toda Erika had a very interesting character I thought very different that her other characters. Yamapi's character who puts his skills above everything else and is arrogant was fun to watch, but it would be nice if he was nicer. Aragaki Yui has an interesting character but a bit annoying I thought.

Code Blue was a very nice surprise. I really thought it would be boring with all the medical terms and such. Instead, even during medical parts it kept you on your toes.

Just finished watching the series and think its brilliant. Agree that in some terms its like Grey's Anatomy, I would have liked some romance in it though XD
