"The Brink of Law" Promotion
TVB's new series "The Brink of Law" will begin airing next Monday after the end of "Dicey Business". As this show deals with combatting illegal gambling on horses, a group of cast members took part in a promotional event at the Shatin Racecourse and those present included Steven Ma, Bernice Liu, Shirley Yeung, Kate Tsui, Michelle Yim, Ron Ng and Kenneth Ma. As well as playing games, the stars also posed for photographs with the horses. However, they were not very co-operative, losing his temper and leaving droppings everywhere, so there was a lot of waiting around before they could successfully complete the photographs. During the shooting game, Steven accidentally aimed the gun at the floor, dropping all the pellets and causing everyone to laugh at him. Ron was blindfolded for his shot and this frightened everyone into running away.
Steven appeared wearing a smart suit and he smiles that he only realised yesterday that he only had one tie at home that he has worn before, so he had no choice but to wear it again. This is Steven's first show to be aired after winning an award at last year's Anniversary awards and he feels that this series has given him the chance to work with many new faces and will help him create some new chemistry.
Steven points out that in the show he plays brothers with Kenneth Ma and they are both referred to as 'Ma Jai' as a nickname. There is also a crew member from props who is called 'Ma Jai', so there are three of them. Originally, the crew had decided to refer to Steven as 'Siu Ma Gor', but he felt that this was rather sensitive, so in the end, they decided on calling Steven 'Ma Jai', Kenneth 'Ma Ming' and the crew member 'Ma Ye'.
There were reports yesterday that Steven was forcefully pushing himself into photographs with an old granny. To this he responds: "I am innocent!" He explains that the granny had asked him earlier to have his photo taken with her, but because she stood away, he ran up to her to avoid her coming back, so it was all a misunderstanding. With these reports already so early on into 2007, Steven says: "I don't mind, it shows my attraction. At first, I was a bit shocked that they were reporting about an old lady, but I don't really mind about reports like this."
Ron had earlier been linked with Toby Leung in rumours during the filming for "Men in Pain" and with the news breaking that he had spent New Years Eve celebrating with her and Raymond Lam in a bar, then of course the press questioned him about this. He says: "Raymond Lam was also there that night and a male artiste from the mainland artiste who is wokring with us in 'The Drive of Life'. We openly allowed the press to take photographs." He says that Toby also had other friends in the bar and as they played lovers in 'Men in Pain' and again in 'The Drive of Life', then they are good friends.
Asked if he is interested in courting her, he smiles: "No, she is an executive's daughter! (Are you not brave enough to pursue?) No, we are just friends." There were also reports that he and Raymond were drunk on that night and only left the bar at 11am the next day. Ron syas that it was their friend who was drunk and they waited together for him to wake up before leaving together. Of course they also drank, because having a little alcohol on New Years Eve is no problem.
So does going to a bar with Raymond make him a big hit with the girls? He syas that there were a lot of other friends there. Asked who he hugged after the countdown, he says that he was taking part in the countdown in Yuen Long and then he hugged Raymond. Asked if he would like to regain some popularity with "The Brink of Law", he played along and says: "Yes I want to spring back."
Bernice was born in the year of the horse, so she has always loved horses. When she was younger, she once told her mother not to have a pet dog any more and keep a pet horse instead, laughing that it could live under her bed. she says that Michelle did take her to the racecourse to experience it before and she realised that people in Hong Kong own horses to race, but if she was to own a horse, then she would keep in the grassy fields of Canada. Talking of her role in this new series, Bernice says that it is a new trial for her because as well as being slapped by Michelle, she is also hit by Eliott Yue.
Kate was dressed in a short skirt, revealing her rather thick legs. She says that she has been working on losing weight and has already reduced a lot of water mass. She has recently been introduced by a friend for a detox treatment that has reduced her water retention and now she has to depend on machines to help her slim the bottom half of her body. However, this is quite expensive, so she has to work hard to make money to stay beautiful. She also says that when she was filming for "On the First Beat" (aka 'Cadets on the Beat') she was like a tomboy so she lost interest in making herself up. Now she is filming for "The Entire City Dances" and has the chance to wear pretty clothing again, so she is starting to concentrate on her appearance again.
Recently the fortune tellers have said that Shirley has good luck this year and a chance of getting married in 2007. She smiles that she is happy to hear that she will have good luck, but she will not be getting married so soon. She says: "Unless it is a lightning marriage, but I don't think so. (What if there was a third person?) What? A dog? No. I like my job at the moment." She says that she has dated her boyfriend for several years and it is fashionable to have a long marathon of love, but she does intend to have children after she gets married. Shirley indicates that usually she does not dare to have her fortune read because it is ok if they say something good, but if they say something bad, then it will leave a shadow.

I dont nkow if she can get better over time; but what's with tvb promoting her so much all of a sudden. Shouldnt she gets lots of cameo roles fisrt? she still lacks experience..and now she is already in quite a few series; being one of the leading actress. That is just not appropraite..tvb is too rush in promoting people..just like ron ng in the past few years..few series in a year..

Ron Ng and Kate Tsui Tranform Into Hot Models in Fashion Show
Ron Ng and Kate Tsui appeared as guest models at the "Koyo William Cheung 07 Collection" fashion show. Ron is currently filming "The Drive of Life" and has been learning driving skills from automobile expert, Chin Ka Lok. Since receiving his driving license 7 years ago, Ron has not had a chance to truly practice his skills adequately.
Ron has numerous car racing scenes in "The Drive of Life." The difficult scenes will be handled by a stuntsperson, but Ron will film the rest of the scenes himself. Ron praised Chin Ka Lok's automobile skills and the safety precautions he practices.
Recently there have been rumors that Ron's good friend, race car driver, Lee Ying Kin, is dating Charmaine Sheh. Did Ron consult with Lee? Ron laughed and said his own rumors are more numerous than Lee. When Ron read the tabloid reports, he laughed and brushed them aside as jokes.
Kate Tsui wore several sleeveless outfits at the fashion show yesterday, appearing as a trendy model. Is Kate brave enough to wear a bikini in a fashion show? Kate said that the most important thing is that the clothes are pretty and TVB will decide and arrange on the level of sexiness allowed.
Kate had her own independent changing room backstage. Kate noted that if she had to change clothes in front of the other models, then it would have been somewhat embarrassing.

"The Entire City Dances" In the City
TVB's dancing themed series "The Entire City Dances" filmed a scene earlier in Wanchai's Golden Bauhinia Square that involved the entire cast of the show, including Steven Ma, Bernice Liu, Fala Chen, Tracy Ip, Claire Yiu, Matthew Ko and Mannor Chan. There have been many dancing scenes in this series and this shoot was the grand finale scene that tells of the cast all dancing in their Latin Dance costumes on the waterfront. As it was quite windy in the evening, all the ladies were shivering a little in their thin costumes.
Steven and Bernice have had many dancing scenes and during filming in this one, there was a lot of intimate contact. Steven even had to lift Bernice to do a spin and this took him rather close to her chest. However, they were too absorbed in the dance to notice too much and Steven danced so hard that he nearly fell over and his shoes were damaged, so they had to pause whilst he changed into his own leather shoes.
Afterwards, Bernice and Steven were asked if they had to reach an understanding with each other before filming and Steven indicated that Bernice was a professional dancer, so she understands that close contact is inevitable. Asked if he nearly fell, he immediately said it was quite spooky and he does not understand why something happens every time he dances. He says the heel of his shoe became stuck in the pavement and the sole came apart, making him trip. Fortunately he has a good balance and could continue to hold onto Bernice.
As for Steven getting so close to her chest while dancing, Bernice says he did not and she feels that getting close during dancing is only normal. Asked if she has danced with her rumoured boyfriend (Moses Chan), she says she has never tried this. As for Valentines Day, she says she spent it working and has not received any gifts.
Fala, who filmed her dancing scene opposite partner Stephen Wong Cheung Hing has had plenty of rumours lately, with suggestions that she and Bernice ignore each other on set and then her 'stealing' Bosco Wong and Moses Chan from their respective rumoured girlfriends. Recently, she has been spotted dating a middle-aged man and been labelled as 'Michelle Ye II'.
Filming for the finale scene, the press did notice that Fala and Bernice did not chat to each other in between takes and she preferred to chat with Tracy Ip instead. Asked about being dubbed "Michelle Ye II", Fala says that she is not successful enough to take over from Michelle. As for her continued rumours about her flirting, has she been called in by the executives? Fala says that her flirting abilities are not strong enough and she is not a very 'sweety' girl. She has not been 'interrogated' by the company because they know what she is really like.
Tracy felt the cold whilst filming and she syas that when she was dancing with Steven, he stepped on her foot and she has a bruise on her toe now. She smiles that she is very unlucky to be injured in this very last scene of the show. She also says that this was actually her first dancing scene in the series. Asked if she would like to have a big dance when she gets married in the future, she smiles that even if she does, she will have it indoors and be joined by her friends and family to share this memorable occasion.
Kate Tsui was also in the scene and she says this is one of her few dancing scenes in the show and it is so grand to have everyone taking part. Asked if she is afraid of revealing herself during filming, she says she will not because she has taken all the safety precautions. When the reporters suggested that her outfit was rather conservative, she says: "It is cold and I don't want to become unwell. It is not totally covered up, it is okay!"

Kate Tsui, Matthew Ko, & Nancy Wu agree that earning money over the New Year is most important.
Kate Tsui Tsi San and Matthew Ko are under the same manager at TVB. Kate and Matthew get along well with each other and are also good friends with Nancy Wu Ding Yan.
All 3 artists look forward to working over the Lunar New Year holiday. Kate said, "My parents are traveling over the holiday, so I am the only one in Hong Kong. That's why I look forward to going to work; at least I can receive lucky packets at TVB studio! It's better than spending the New Year by myself!"
Many artists' dream for the new year is to purchase a new home. However, Kate realized that she will be unable to accomplish this dream in 2007. Luckily Kate lives with her parents and is grateful for their care over the years. Of course she hopes that her parents can live more comfortably. However Kate does not hope to achieve overnight success, but to increase her income steadily.
Kate understands the importance of winning the audience's favor in an artist's success. She will buy peach blossoms to increase her luck with people, but does not wish for romantic love. Kate will be focusing on her career and does not want to involve herself in unnecessary rumors. In 2007, Kate hopes to try new character roles, such as playing a pilot.
Matthew's reason for wishing to work over the holiday is a bit unique, "Earlier, I received several parking tickets, so I want to make additional income to compensate for the loss. Spending the New Year [working] with a large group of people also yields a festive spirit!"
Each year, Nancy normally visits her uncle's home on New Year's day and will drop by her grandmother's place the day after. When asked why Nancy prefers to work this year, she laughed, "Earlier I appeared at a New Year countdown event with a live audience. The atmosphere was quite fun, so I would like to attend additional holiday events."

Kate Tsui and Ron Ng Voted as Worst Pair on TVB
Couple Ron Ng and Kate Tsui who have appeared in the recent series "The Brink of Law" have been voted by netizens as the Worst Actor and Actress on television. It would seem they need to improve their acting skills to increase respect from the viewing public.
Recently, netizens on the Uwants Discussion Board have been voting for the worst male and female on TVB and the results after 800 members cast their votes have resulted in Ron gaining 40% of the votes for the men and Kate also received 40% of the female vote. Member Tobeee comments: "Ron and Kate are a perfect couple. One tries to be stylish, the other tries to be cute, but when I see them together, I want to switch over!" Another member Kai Lan Keung says: "Kate's acting is remarkably poor. She doesn't really know how to speak or act and she is very exaggerated." Ron adds this latest criticism to his long line of negative press that includes poor English skills, bad singing and partying image.
Second place went to Andy Hui who returned to the screen after a long absence last year, and Linda Chung who was criticised as being emotionless and vase-like, but she has still been busy promoting her new year series "Best Bet".
Although she was voted as the worst actress, Kate is still working hard and she filmed a rainy scene earlier for "The Entire City Dances". Without insulated clothing, she was shivering after the scene and said: "Every time I film, I end up getting wet, so I am quite unlucky." The scene tells of her pulling out of a triangular affair with Matthew Ko and Tracy Ip and in her sorrow, she is caught out in a rain shower. In real life though, she has never been caught in such an affair and she hopes it will never happen to her.

Kate Tsui has New Year Gift of Film in Berlin Film Festival
Kate Tsui's first movie "Eye in the Sky" has been selected as Hong Kong's presentation to the opening of the Berlin Film Festival and she responds by saying it is like receiving a New Year gift. She indicates that this is also the directorial debut for Yau Nai Hoi so she is full of admiration for him to have the guts to invite her to take part as a newcomer to film. Kate did ask the director why he selected her and he repoked that it was because he felt she was very suited to the role.
In the film, Kate plays a new police officer who is sent out to follow criminals working in the Criminal Intelligence Bureau, but her character is a little clumsy and absent minded. She smiles that she often loses things in real life and is also quite a clumsy person. She hopes that she can make more films in the future, but she will not give up on series. Recently, she has been voted by netizens as the worst actress on TVB alongside Ron Ng. Asked if she feels she and Ron are suited to each other, she says she has not read this report and she feels that if people think they do not match, then it is probably because they feel he is more suited to someone else.
Asked who she feels is most suited to Ron, Kate avoids this and says she does not know. When given the choice of the most suitable lady for Ron out of Joyce Cheng, Ella Koon and Charmaine Sheh, she refused to answer and then said that it doesn't matter who he is best matched with because after filming so many series, then there are plenty of opportunities to work with different people.

Glad to see some info about her film, after the criticism of her and Ron, not being able to act! Don't like it AT ALL. Hope her film does well though!

More Gossip in Store for Ron this Year
A Tai Po Shopping Mall held a special new year promotional event with guests from TVB's "The Brink of Law" Ron Ng and Kate Tsui as well as band Rednoon. Ron and Kate happily handed out lucky packets at the event and exchanged packets with each other for good luck. Ron says that this is his third year handing out lucky packets and he hopes for smooth progress in his work. He has prepared a few thousand dollars in lucky packets this year and he says that he had a stage performance in Zhuhai on the third day of the new year and has earned some new year fortunes.
Kate and Ron had their fortunes read for the coming year and Ron was told that his 'romance and relationships' luck is very strong this year, so he asked more about positioning when he heard this. Asked if he believes in these things, he says that he is born in the year of the Goat, so this year his work will be very good and he will focus on this. Ron has had some gossip last year, does he feel that this is a 'plum blossom obstacle'? He smiles it isn't and he says that if you believe in these things then it will be true, if you don't then it wont. Of course he would like to have good relationships because as an artiste, popularity is very important. He also insists that he will not deliberately avoid romance. Does he want to distance himself from rumours this year? He syas he does not want to have untrue reports about him all the time.
Kate says her progress last year was not bad and this year she has decided to hand out lucky packets to thank everyone. However, she has not counted up how much she has spent. So how much has she received? She immediately looked disappointed and said that as her parents are not in Hong Kong, she has not received too much. Yesterday was her first public singing performance and she says she was very nervous. To prepare for this performance, she has been practising for a long time. Recently she has started learning to sing and she will be taking part in a TVB Musical soon, when she will have to sing and dance. She also hopes to sing some TVB theme songs this year.

Bosco, Myolie, Charmaine, Raymond, Bernice, etc. Vow to Quit Bad Habits
In the year of the fire pig, many artists such as Bosco Wong, Myolie Wu, Charmaine Sheh, Bernice Liu, Raymond Lam, Kate Tsui etc. vowed to quit their bad habits to ensure a fortuitous year.
By successfully quiting their bad habits, hopefully their wishes for the new year will be fulfilled quickly!
Bosco Wong to Quit Lazy Habit
Bosco always wanted to improve himself, but due to his busy filming schedule, he did not have the time to do so. Also he lacked the dedication to follow through, affecting his plan to improve himself. When he does have a break, he would rather take it easy at home.
In the New Year, Bosco aspires to learn Korean and Japanese, broadening his opportunities in Asia outside of Hong Kong.
Bosco's New Year greetings to readers: "Hopefully everyone will earn a lot of money this year! Personally, I would like to spend more time with family."
Myolie Wu to Quit Lack of Self-Confidence
Losing out on TVB's Best Actress Award last year, a fortune teller said that Myolie Wu lacked confidence. Myolie agreed that confidence should emanate from onself and should not be given by others. With greater confidence, then one will be re-energized in work and all tasks. More job opportunities will follow as well, along with increased income.
Health is an important asset. Myolie felt that the year of the fire pig is especially auspicious, as pigs are cute and bring happiness to others.
Myolie's New Year greetings: "The economy has improved lately; I wish everyone happiness!"
Bernice Liu to Quit Over-working
Growing up in Canada, Bernice has always been a hard worker, often over-filling her schedule with work. Even during breaks, she will pack her schedule by going out with friends, not allowing herself adequate rest.
Over time, Bernice has over-stretched herself like a rubber band and tired herself out. Last year, she frequently fell sick. For the new year, Bernice hopes to relax a bit more and perhaps take a mini-vacation. Allowing her body to grow stronger would let her to take on more work.
Bernice's new year greetings: "Hopefully everyone knows how to relax themselves and enjoy life. I would like to take a vacation, especially to Africa and enjoy the natural scenery!"
Charmaine Sheh to Quit Drinking Cold Drinks in the Morning
Charmaine always had a bad habit of drinking cold drinks first thing in the morning. Fortunately her body never had any major illnesses. However, Charamine hopes to quit this habit and strengthen her health, allowing her to take on additional work opportunities.
Charmaine's greetings: "Hopefully Hong Kong's economy continues to improve and benefit everyone. I wish for personal health and the opportunity to film diversified roles in more movies. Filming in movies is very fun!"
Kate Tsui to Reduce Salt Intake
Kate Tsui lost weight recently and vowed to reduce her salt intake in the new year. Eating overly salty foods increases water retention in one's body. In Kate's past experience, when she ate overly salty foods, her weight would increase. To maintain a slim figure, she must control her eating habits.
Fortunately, Kate has never over-indulged in foods in the past. She rarely eats beef, lamb, and has also cut down her intake of chicken. Now she eats mainly seafood and fish. Hopefully by maintaining her weight, she can film more ads and increase her income.
Kate's New Year greetings: "I wish everyone happiness and a year filled with good fortune!"
Raymond Lam Vows to See the Doctor Speedily
Raymond Lam has a bad habit of neglecting to see the doctor when he is sick. This affects his recovery process and immune system, causing him to catch a cold easily the next time and weakening his health even further.
In the new year, Raymond vows to see the doctor speedily whenever he is sick. There is no need to delay, as an illness must be dealt with immediately. He does not want to hold the responsibility of passing germs to others.
Raymond hopes for improved health, as an artist needs a strong body in order to handle the demanding workload.
Raymond's greetings: "Hopefully there will be less man-made and natural disasters this year! I wish for the health of all the veternans in the entertainment industry and that Hong Kong's economy continues to improve!"

Kate and Fala Fight for the Limelight at Charity Show
Kevin Cheng, Kate Tsui, Fala Chen, Kelly Chen, Harlem Yu, Nancy Sit, Kenny Bee, Jade Kwan, Kenny Kwan and Vincy were all guests on the Pok Oi Charity show this year. Fala and Kate wore sexy dance outfits as they performed in a musical drama with Kevin and dancing teacher Chow Chi Kwan. In this act, Fala wore an outfit that accentuated her breasts as she caught everyone's attention.
Regarding this, Fala indicates that she did not try it on before and she did not realise how sexy the outfit looked. Asked if she has added pads, she syas: "I have not supported my bust, it is just an effect from the dress design."
Whilst Kate was performing with teacher Chow, he slipped up on some of the confetti on the floor and tripped together with Kate, who revealed her bra pad in the process. Kate comforted Chow, saying that she knew it was a mistake and they have done their best. As for revealing her pad, she says: "I have followed the precautions and I am not afraid of revealing myself."
Dancing with Fala and Kate who both have strong dance backgrounds, Kevin does not feel that he will be compared to them and he feels that it is even better with them in the act, because it has raised his own interest in dancing and if he has time, then he will try to upgrade himself even more by learning to dance.

Maggie Shiu and Kate Tsui join Simon Yam at Hong Kong Film Festival
The 31st Hong Kong International Film Festival had its grand opening yesterday, showing two films - local production "Eye in the Sky" and Korean film "I'm a Cyborg But That's OK". This also marked the Hong Kong premier for "Eye", so the film's producer Johnny To and Tsui Siu Ming, director Yau Nai-hoi and cast members Simon Yam, Maggie Shiu, Kate Tsui and Lam Suet were all present. As the guests all walked up the red carpet, Maggie and Kate both appeared in white dresses, the former showing off her legs and the latter, her shoulders as they stole the show. During the show, Kate was afraid of revealing herself and was forever tugging at the top of her dress, looking a little unrefined. Other guests at the event included Nick Cheung, Sean Lau and Amy Kwok. Yesterday also happened to be Simon's birthday. so when everyone sung happy birthday to him he could not turn it down. He will be celebrating with his wife at a crab restaurant,
Already a tall girl, Maggie wore six inch heels to go with her outfit that made her look even taller. She reveals that she was in a rush to get to the event, so she had to run here and this has left her cramping in both legs. Asked if anyone has massaged her legs for her, she smiles: "Yes, my mother, or my beautician." As for Kate's sexy look, Maggie laughs that she would rather show off her lower body than brave the cold at the top of her body. This is the first time that Kate has taken on a leading movie role, so she dressed up carefully for the event and her outfit costs a five figure sum.

Kate Tsui Learns to Make Soup and Win her Man
TVB's "Beautiful Cooking" was a great way of getting pretty female artistes to show their cooking skills and although Kate Tsui did not have the chance to go on the show, she was still able to show her skills by taking part in Pay Visions "Star Class Kitchen" earlier.
Having studied abroad in the past, Kate likes cooking Western food, but recently she has become a vegetarian, so in the show, she cooked a vegetarian dish. Although the show's host Chef Chow Chung joked about her being 'foreign' and 'thick', she did not take offence and continued to smile as she cooked. She says that in order to find a good husband in the future, she will be learning a few dishes from her mother, especially making soup because that way she can keep herself looking beautiful.

I think she's still pretty it depends on the hairstyle and angles. She actually kinda pretty in most of the photos people put in this site. Anyway actually i guess what makes her prettier is her attidute(spelling?) She's kinda straight forward and she looks innocent maybe i'm wrong dunno?

The thing about Kate for me is that she can be really pretty from some angles, but at the same time, she can also look fairly average. BUT after reading her profile & some of the comments her fans wrote about her - i'm starting to have a change towards her, mainly from her excellent acting in 'Brink of Law' & i'm starting to see the beauty within her from her photos.
can't wait to see more of her in TVB series - hope she shines as well as i've seen

Kate Tsui Slims Down with New Spokesmodel Contract
Kate Tsui took part in a promotional event for her slimming company sponsors yesterday, showing off a much slimmer figure, wearing a tube top, mini-skirt and little top, showing off her legs and bust and oozing with confidence.
Afterwards, she revealed in an interview: "The company has given me an unlimited slimming sponsorship, so to show off the effects for this event, I have been working hard over the last three weeks and have reduced my waist from 25 ins to 23 ins and my body mass index from 21 down to 19, so I am much fitter now. (Have you reduced cup size?) No, I have only slimmed the areas that should be slim." She also says that after entering Miss Hong Kong, her figure had enlarged a lot. "So at the time, I rarely appeared in any sexy outfits. (So are you winning back your reputation now?) You could say that! The most important thing is the results." As for whether she will be showing off her assets in the summer, she says this will depend on the event."

Blessing Ceremony for 'Background Master'
TVB's new series "Background Master" held its blessing ceremony yesterday at TKO TVB City and cast members in attendance included Kenneth Ma, Leila Tong, Kate Tsui, Matthew Ko and Fiona Yuen.
This is the first ancient drama for Matthew and Kate and Matthew feels that he will have to remember a lot of names and places so he is often forgetting his lines. This is the first time he will be wearing a hairpiece too, so asked if he is afraid this will lead his own hair to fall out, he says that originally they wanted to shave his hair off, but now he can settle for a wig. If he does lose his hair, then it will be big trouble.
As they have not filmed ancient series before, Matthew and Kate are worried about NG's and Kenneth laughs: "We'll all NG together then." He says that there are a lot of officious lines in this show, so it is like reciting passages at school. Kenneth and Kate will be playing husband and wife, meeting again after their encounters on "La Femme Desperado". Asked if he is no longer worried about rumours because he has Margie Tsang, Kenneth smiles: "There is nothing to fear." He adds that he and Kate will have bed scenes, but they are just fighting there.
Kate has a pair of twin sabres in the show and as they will be filming in High Definition, they have to use real weapons. She is not experienced, so she is afraid of being injured and as a result, she will be taking a few lessons before filming starts. She feels that location filming for ancient series is often in very tough surroundings and she is not used to wearing the flat shoes in these costumes.
Talking of the death of former TVB executive Wong Ka Leung, Kate was very shocked by this and said that she did not meet him during her pageant, but she did see him at the anniversary event. As they are colleagues, then she is still saddened by the news.

Kate Tsui Injures her Nose Whilst Filming
Kate Tsui, Kenneth Ma and Leila Tong were filming in the intense heat yesterday for period drama "Background Master". The three were all soaked with sweat and Kate revealed that she injured her nose earlier and had to rest for a couple of days. Although her strength is back now, she is still a little nauseous on this her first day back on set in the sun. "A couple of days ago, I was filming a home scene with Kenneth but the prop window frame fell down and hit me on the bridge of my nose. I was in so much pain that I felt faint and immediately headed to Tseung Kwan O hospital for an x-ray. Fortunately my nose was not broken and was just swollen, so this was quite lucky." Kenneth indicated that both Kate and Leila have injured themselves in this series and it is quite spooky, so he will go and pray for safety.

Kate Tsui Interview on i-Cable was Arranged by TVB
Kate Tsui appeared at the preview screening of her debut film "Eye in the Sky" earlier and she says that as this was her first venture on the big screen, she was worried about not doing well and her scenes being cut, but after watching the film, she breathed a sigh of relief. Kate was earlier seen promoting the movie speaking in Cantonese on TVB's arch rivals i-Cable, but seemingly with the blessing of TVB. However, when Jade Kwan did the same thing earlier, she was met with suspension from TVB. This has led to allegations of favouritism from TVB for its own artistes.
When she was asked about this, Kate was a little speechless and her assistant helped her out, explaining that the interview had been arranged by TVB, so her manager was by her side during the process and this was purely to promote the movie, so the situation was very different. She says: "I think that this was the case, it was all arranged by the company." Also, Kate's series "On the First Beat" that is currently airing has raised criticisms from netizens who say that the shape of her mouth is very off-putting. She says that as a newcomer, she is glad that people are paying attention to her and she will not mind the comments as long as she still has work.

As one of Johnny's beloved actors, Simon Yam laughed, "ATV is better; it offers artists greater freedom. I'm just joking! Of course I would film for Johnny first, then ATV! I love acting in TV series; it has been more than 10 years since my last HK series!"
Kate Tsui was heavily favored by TVB. Aside from granting "permission" to film "Eye in the Sky," many TVB executives attended the movie premiere last night. "Young Four Constables" Costume Fitting
TVB Series "Young Four Constables" held its costume fitting yesterday, attended by three of the four constables - Sammul Chan, Raymond Lam and Kenneth Ma. The fourth, Ron Ng is currently filming in the mainland, so he could not take part. Other cast members present include Dominic Lam, Kate Tsui and Selena Li.
With four of TVB's leading males in the same show, is Sammul worried about comparisons being made? He smiles: "I am the trainee leading male, still in training, so I dare not compare myself with all these seniors!" As for the rumours he has had with Ron Ng, is he worried about the report? He laughs: "Don't be silly! We have worked together so many times, so there won't be any more rumours. (Maybe they will say you have new developments?) I will not appear downstairs from his apartment and will not go and eat with him. As colleagues, we will only meet when we are in a group."
Raymond will be appearing in a wheelchair for this series, being pushed around by two large men. Everyone is envious of him not having to fight in this show. Asked if he feels he has been spoilt by the company, he says: "Of course not, you can just say this is a new experience for me, but being unable to use movement will make it more challenging for my skills. Also, I am worried about getting haemorrhoids from sitting around all the time, so I will add a cushion to the chair." He also plans to lose a few pounds to make it easier for the two men who have to push him. Kenneth says that their characters are all very different, so there is no worry about them being compared. He is more worried about his fighting scenes because he has not filmed many fighting series and to avoid making a fool of himself, he will be taking kung fu classes.
Selena will be playing a female fighter in the show and in a change to her usually fragile roles, she will be playing an obstinate girl who has a romance with Kenneth. She says that this is a new experience for her. As for the show being filmed on location in Yunnan, she says she has already been there before whilst filming "Tai Chi Master" and as it was winter and very dry there at the time, she had to use some 'over-50's' moisture cream. She hopes it will be better this time filming in the autumn. Her weapon in the show will be the leather whip and to avoid injuring herself, she will be taking lessons from the martial arts master from next week.
Kate will be playing a female doctor in the show and paired with Raymond. Talking of Raymond often being linked in rumours with his co-stars, she smiles: "He does have a lot of rumours, but not with me. (Maybe this time it is your turn?) You don't need to hold back! (Do you have kiss scenes?) He is in a wheelchair, so it will be limiting."

Raymond Covers Up to Hide his Figure
Raymond Lam and Kate Tsui took part in a dance event yesterday at a shopping mall and they joined a performance with a dance instructor. Raymond and Kate both danced very well and seemed to have good chemistry, receiving a lot of applause afterwards. Raymond was sweating a lot after the dance, but insisted on keeping his shirt on, whereas Kate was wearing a tight-fitting top. It would seem that she is very confident in her figure after her recent slimming success. Asked why he refused to take his shirt off, Raymond said at first that he was shy, but then said with a little embarrassment that he is not happy with his figure, laughing: "Recently I have been recording songs and have not had time to go and keep fit or sunbathe, so my skin is not dark enough and my muscles not toned enough."
Raymond and Kate will be performing at the Miss Hong Kong final, so when asked if they have any steamy dances, Raymond reveals that their dance act is a little sexy and quite intimate because he has to spin whilst lifting Kate, but he will stay within limits. Asked if he is worried about touching her sensitive areas, he says: "I am a little worried, the scariest thing would be to be accused of taking advantage of her." Kate did some dance for a slimming ad and she says that the response has not been bad, so she will be filming another ad with them soon.
