It's good of Ariel to remember everyone in TKA cast and crew and that they made a group effort. Totally agree with Stipetrov_Volzy that Ariel is down-to-earth and humble... it's great to have celebs like her as role models.

I like how the reporter interviewed several people about it, including Joe, Dir. Lin (nominated for Best Director), Lin Mei Xiu (nominated Best Supporting Actress), etc. I thought it was so sweet that Ariel turned to Joe and said "thank you" (even though he didn't know what she was talking about at the time), and Joe was happy for her being nominated.

Heh, pretty cool that it'll be Ariel and Lin Mei Xiu's second time working together in daughter-mother roles... only it looks like it'll be quite a different relationship from that in True Love 18.

Some new LOB news from baidu... apparently, Wen Xing invited his new buddies Ariel and Joe to his Super Idol concert, but they can't make it, because they're working on the LOB OST! (It would have been cool if they could have gone to see Wen Xing perform... aww). I wonder if Ariel and Joe will do separate songs or a duet on the OST?

[Super Idol] Huang Wen Xing is acting in an idol series, once he saw the distinct and pretty Lin Yi Chen, he was immediately dumbfounded, yesterday there’s a [Super Idol] concert, he was hoping that his [idol] will be able to come but unfortunately Lin Yi Chen and Zheng Yuan Chang have to go to recording and class so they can’t come!!

This will be Huang Wen Xing’s first acting experience, the producer Xue Sheng Feng has warned him earlier that the director Lin He Long is well-known for having bad-tempered and this has make Huang Wen Xing to be on his toes and busy reading the script at home. But once the director shouts, his mind will be in a total blankness, he sighed: [Script is harder to memorize then lyrics.]

Filming is hard work but it also has its advantages too, Huang Wen Xin praised Lin Yi Chen has a very distinct temperament that nobody could compete. Does he want to pursue her?? Huang Wen Xing thought of inviting them to see the concert but Lin Yi Chen has to go for recording so he has to cancel that thought and just put it in his heart.

Like btzi said in the Ariel thread when she corrected me, “too bad there’s no “respectively” for Chinese.” This part got me confuzzled: “…but unfortunately Lin Yi Chen and Zheng Yuan Chang have to go to recording and class so they can’t come!!” (‘cause there’s no “respectively” in Chinese... and I kinda didn't notice the "class" part) That was nice of Wen Xing to compliment Ariel’s temperment and to invite Joe and Ariel to his concert. Hope he was able to have some fun on the LOB set (looks like he did from some of the pics of him, Joe and Ariel) and learn a lot from his first acting experience =)

I really wonder now who will play Shan Mei’s ex-boyfriend when they go to film overseas. Looking forward to the LOB press con/promo coming up too!

Correct me if I'm wrong. I thought the summary of the plot says Shan Mei went to the "US" to look up her boyfriend only to discover that he was double-crossing her. (This was way before she met Joe's character, although this part of the plot always had me wondering how she managed to support her boyfriend's studies and also buy a ticket to go to the US even if she worked three jobs.) Since I highly doubt they'll be shooting in the US, are they planning to shoot scenes in China and pass this off as "make-believe USA"? hohohoho.... Or it could be a scene of Shan Mei looking up her ex-bf who suddenly fell sick and turned remorseful. Just a thought. Please don't quote me on this as I'm making up my own plot. I remember in the 80s when Taiwanese dramas would have these scenes wherein the characters were supposed to be in the US and I see scenes of Mines View Park in Baguio, Philippines. ROFL....

btzi, yup, you're right... they'll be shooting the "U.S." scenes in China, because there's no way they're actually going to U.S. to film (although I would be blissful if they did!). I don't really know how it'll work out.... looking forward to hearing Shan Mei speak some English, though Hmm, I wonder if the "U.S." scene will be filmed as if it were Chinatown or a highly Asian populated area, or if they'll try to get some more non-Asian actors for the "U.S." scenes. Should be interesting to see how Dir. Lin shoots it.

Hehe, the new pics from the drama look great - a very different kind of chemistry going on, lol. Frank and Shan Mei seem to be angry/annoyed at each other a lot, but you can tell there are going to be some very sweet moments. This is like my most anticipated drama for this year! SO so so missing seeing Arjoe for long long periods of time. You realise how much of a luxury that is.

They mentioned that My Love Bread has been in planning for over 3 years already. Director Lin was mentioned, with a quick listing of his past works, including <<Romantic Princess>>, <<Hot Shot>> and <<Corner With Love>>

The article continues to give a brief description of the Joe and Ariel's characters. I'm sorry but I've got no time to translate, but I suppose most of us know the character descriptions already anyway. =)

Ariel's character Shan Mei is said to be a modern Cinderella. Ariel not only had to suffer alot in the show, she also had to make herself uglier for the role. it would have been interesting seeing barbie and joe together.. too bad barbie had to turn it down.. or at least that's what i know happened.. but im totally fine with another ariel and joe series.. i really dont have anything against them.. i find them fun to watch in ISWAK and TKA (haven't really compeleted seeing the two though.. ) and they really suit each other when it comes to acting.. plus their chemistry is there.. and based from the character description of the main leads, their roles will be quite refreshing since it's different compared to their recent series.. joe will have to play a lazy type of character and i am "assuming" ariel will be somewhat like clever beeing the bread winner of the family and having three jobs and such.. then again it's just my own assumption.. the story is interesting and i am pretty sure joe and ariel's interactions in the series will give the series an extra boost.. having high hopes for Love or Bread!

It is worth waiting for another hot combination of Ariel Lin and Joe Cheng in LOVE OR BREAD (LOB)....they really know how to handle their characters.. despite the fact that this is their 3rd collaboration..if I am right....Though how many time they do partner..they are indeed good performing artists who knows how to handle their character so well.. It will never be tiring.. you can see them perform and not thing they are the team of ISWAK/TKA..because they know how to blend into the character... They are really performers ...
