Born in 1986, he was born with the blood-type O and has the personality of someone with the blood type. Is the main vocal of the group, and is carrying out the role of the "big brother" with Yunho. He gives the most criticisms to the members regarding music. Has deep thoughts and talks straight-forwardly. His neat and tidy personality is portrayed in the dorm they live in. Cleaning every corner of the house is blatantly a part of this trait, but he also is interested in cooking and feeds everyone in the group. Is the 'mother' of the group. YoungWoong Jaejoong has good cooking skills. Right now he cooks for his members. He improved his cooking skills while preparing for his debut also his parent's contribution was the biggest. JaeJoong's special talent is his husky voice. But the one thing he likes the most is his eyebrows. Jaejoong said when Song SuHun sees his eyebrows he is going to bow. When he was young his dream was to be a supermarket owner; because you can eat a lot of cookies all you want.

Kim Jaejoong left his hometown in Chungnam to audition for SM Entertainment. Having left the shelter of home, he experienced poverty and strife before becoming a celebrity. He debuted under the name a fortune teller foretold years before: YoungWoong JaeJoong (�웅재중). Youngwoong means "hero" in Korean, hence his international name, Hero. Jaejoong also had picked the name Hero because he wanted to be the hero of the music industry. Jaejoong was selected from an audition of 5000 people. Jaejoong won first place, both in best looking and best vocals. That made him the main vocal of TVXQ.

Custody battle over Hero JaeJoong
On November 21, 2006, a man by the last name of Han filed a lawsuit against Hero's current legal guardians. Han claimed that he is the biological father of Hero, and thus wants custody of Hero.
Han cited the reason for the lawsuit against Hero's legal guardians as "for not going through the proper procedures before registering [Hero] in [the legal guardians'] custody." He divorced Hero's biological mother in late 1980s, and gave up his custody over his child, leaving him under Mrs. Han's custody. However, he had found out some years ago Hero had been adopted by a third party, not his biological mother. A DNA test was to be performed in order to prove validity of Han's claim. Many legal consultants comment that since the adoption had taken place correctly according to the corresponding law, no legal change will be involved regardless of the outcome.
The first hearing was to be held in Kongju, Hero's hometown on November 29, 2006. The fans of TVXQ were generally appalled by this news, questioning why Han did not privately contact Hero regarding this and why he did not keep in touch with his son before he rose to fame.
On November 22, Han dropped the charges against Hero's legal guardians. Han said that he originally intended to resolve his biological son's military duty conflicts after being informed of dual citizenship by Ministry of Military Affairs, which involved verifying the fact that he is the biological father. He did not expect his intention to lead to such a scandal, and states that he was scarred by speculations that he wanted to take advantage of Hero's fame.
In reaction to the matter, Hero uploaded a journal entry on his official fan club website, and said that he was informed of the existence of separate biological parents by his mother two or three years ago, and it had been quite a shock to him. With his current mother's support, his biological mother has been able to keep in touch with him, and to meet occasionally, but whereabouts of the father had been unknown.
He vigorously expressed his will to live by the name of "Jaejoong Kim" not by his birth name "Jaejoong Han", and promised to be loyal to all four of his parents. He also lamented the fact that his family history was exposed to the public due to this incident.
Despite the termination of this issue, many still question why Han decided to drop his plan for a lawsuit after only a day, and what truly motivated him to change his mind. The dispute was resolved when Hero's biological father retreated his lawsuit and apologized for causing uneasiness in his son. After TVXQ received the award for Best Artist at the 2006 MKMF Festival, Hero thanked his biological mother with gratitude to both families.

Miyumiiiiiiiiiiii~~~, hmmm my impression of Jae's composed song.... just like what u said..it's not that we're biased.. as for his very first attempt in composing song.. i think the song is pretty great even though it's another typical ballad.. but i love the piano sound on the song... and the high note just to bring the feeling of the song in the chorus part, if i'm not mistaken... he has done a pretty good job *though i love Yoochun's more Love Bye Love~ ahh Yoochun is always the best in composing*, but yeah Jae's song is pretty good... the lyric is straightforward and really honest.. totally a sad song, have u read the translation of the lyric? it's very short but strike to the main point... wondering if that's what he had ever experienced, of not to be able to be with the woman he loved... *the lyric is kinda remind me of Junsu's first kiss story u know~*, maybe Jae wrote it according to what Junsu experienced??

OMFG :shocked: @ the new video. So frickin' smexy! Especially our Hero JaeJoong! (wohoo i feel like i can say that without sounding biased in this thread..haha!)
Jae's dancing! I'm so proud. I keep saying this but the choreography is just so amazing....not like RS or O but just really really fancy footwork. And each time you watch it you can spot another one of the lil moves that, you didn't spot it first time round, that make you go "cool!"
JJ's rap and solo dance is just cool as hell. And and and...him dancing in a suit. *dies*

yeah i admire Jae alot too. i'm still new to DBSK so I keep learning new things about them. recently I read something written about JJ's background and the hardships he went through to be where he is today. it made me tear up and see him in a new light. There are artists in this business (whom i won't name) that come from rich backgrounds and who shoot to fame overnight without really working hard...then there's the likes of JaeJoong who completely deserve to be where they are today because of their hardwork and determination. Reading it just made me respect JJ a whole lot more and i'll anyone who says he only got where he is today because of his pretty face.

Ya I can tell you about my audition cause I’m not a trainee yet...if I were then I couldn’t tell you XD
Umm it’s such a long story so I’ll just sum it up okay? (if you want a detailed one just ask) So I wanted to audition for singing and dancing but they only allowed ppl to pick one category, so I auditioned for dancing and got a callback for it but then at the private sm callback they had me sing and dance. At Avex they only had time for me to sing, but they asked me soo many questions and when I left the coordinator guy told me I did really well and he didn’t tell that to the others so that’s a good sign I guess XD!!
Uh I have a really old recording of me practicing my dancing...i can show you that? and I can just quickly record my singing for you ^^ PM me and then I’ll show you XD

Jaejoong has done it again!

Just when I thought I was alive again, Jaejoong has made me go back to heaven. Your guys are amazing - Congratulations on a brand new thread! I just saw the new MV for wrong number and I can list a hundred things I like about it - but for Jaejoong alone I can list a thousand more. He brings a smile to my face everytime I see him dance or just stares into the camera - his eyes are electrifying. So to celebrate the opening of the thread and Wrong number MV, I'll post one of my favorite scenes from the MV.

Yes, it's the floor scene. I think that's one of the hottest scenes in there. And because I'm in Jaejoong's thread I won't go to any further details. Actually, Jaejoong's solo scene on the floor is my favorite part because it's classy and sophisticated - everything around it just matches. For some reason, I think the glass wine is very effective; I can't quite put my word on it but it made the scene come off as powerful. Of course with Jaejoong he made it even better! His emotions were strong in the MV and his rap is pretty good, just how I imagined it. I'm glad to see that he is finally able to get his own solo dance with the other dancers - his move was hot.

About Heaven's Postman, I'm glad to see that he's having fun on the set. Can't wait to see the show! I still think I'm going to die of jealousy after watching it.
