BoA, South Korea's pop superstar, has signed a contract with Creative Artists Agency (CAA), the No. 1 Hollywood entertainment agency in an effort to spur her activity in the United States.

The hip-hop- and R&B-influenced BoA, aka BoA Kwon, has had a massive career that extended from her native Korea to Japan and Chinese-speaking territories, in large measure because of her versatility and her linguistic skills, according to the Hollywood Reporter. CAA. She has sold more than 20 million records.

Under the contract, within North America, CAA will represent the 22-year-old in all areas including music, film and merchandising. The agency is mulling a U.S. tour in the late second half of the year.

BoA released her U.S. album on March 17 amid high expectations that she will be able to reenact her success story in Japan in the United States.

The album contains 11 songs including "I Did It For Love" and dance tracks "Energetic", "Eat You Up", and "Look Who's Talking".

BoA's album ranked 127th on the Billboard 200 Album Charts announced on March 26. It was the first time that a Korean singer had entered the Billboard chart.

BoA topped the list of 20 young showbiz professionals named in March by the Hollywood Reporter in the inaugural Next Gen Asia awards.

whoa. that's good for BoA. They should really help her be more promoted since they are the no.1 Hollywood entertainment. And a U.S World tour? that's sound even more exciting.

Wait, so is she still apart of SM?
I doubt SM would give her up. So where do they fit in her US career?

glad to hear that Boa is being backed up by another agency that isn't SM but someone bigger. I mean i'm not saying SM is big but it's only big in Korea not in the U.S. And with the help of this No.1 Hollywood Agency, her career in the U.S. will shine more brighter.^^

Its about freaking time Boa did something right for her career in America. Signing with CAA is the best decision for her career right now. CAA is the same agency that has the heavy weights that lead in entertainment industry like Steven Spielberg, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Oprah Winfrey, Will Smith, etc just to name a few. Boa is in good hands.

I think Boa will only become popular in the US if she stars in a dancing movie. Her English music is not that good and there is no way it's going to sell more in the coming years. The album has no blance and no soul. But I think her dancing will bring her great success in the US. Her music will too when her English gets better and when she's free to sing songs that are Boa and not Britney Spears. Thank God SM is not managing her US works because SM is nobody in the US even though they are big in Korea. All the luck to Boa.
