Zhang Yun Jing went to Kaohsiung’s Yong Han Japanese bookstore to promote her new book [One Person’s Tokyo ‧ Zhang Yun Jing 361°]. Besides sharing with everyone Japan’s cuisine, she also taught the audience some Japanese!

Firstly, Yun Jing taught the two Japanese phrases that are most common: konichiwa/greetings and arigato/thank you. Then Jing began teaching the phrases for sushi and the Japanese crepe. It turns out that Jing got to taste both of these foods during her trip to Tokyo. So she specially taught these two phrases and simultaneously recommended two places for everyone to try. One was a sushi-shop at Tsukiji Fish Market and the other in Tokyo’s Sweets Forest.

On the day she went to Tsukiji, Jing remembers that it was raining. In front of the shop, there was a long line of people holding umbrellas. ZYJ couldn’t help but stare and speculate: “Was Tsukiji’s sashimi really that good?” At last, ZYJ couldn’t resist her love for sashimi and joined the line. After a long period of waiting, ZYJ sat in front of a fresh, tender and delicious array of sushi and sashimi. As the appearance implied, a bite of this sashimi was really fresh. ZYJ recommends that sashimi lovers go to Tsukiji and try out this sushi shop.

In the end of this event, YJ also taught a Japanese phrase: “Dear, want some sweets? I’ll feed you.” This phrase captured her exact feelings when she went to Sweets Forest. Jing has always enjoyed sharing desserts with others. She said that if she could go to Tokyo’s Sweets Forest with her lover, there would be nothing more joyful than feeding each other and enjoying the bliss together.

During her signing event, Jing also revealed her secret recipe “Jing Clan Pot Noodles”. This is a very simple dish. All you need is instant noodles or bean noodles; then you just need to add some canned tuna or eel. Once the meat, vegetables and sesame oil are added, the task is complete. Food-lover ZYJ expressed that she might open a special restaurant after she retires. Using food to share good feelings with guests is also a way to satisfaction and happiness!

This Kaohsiung signing event was ZYJ’s last promotion event for her new book. About 600-700 fans came and ZYJ signed for a total of 2 hours. She warmly shook hands and took pictures with everybody. Jing expressed that she put a lot of effort into completing her book and hoped that everyone would continue to support it and come to know another side of Zhang Yun Jing. She will also give out a big prize through her Sina blog as a way to reward fans: the EeePC laptop that she used on her trip.
