From treating each other like air to breaking the ice and collaborating with many kiss scenes in <Hi My Sweetheart> Show Luo (Xiao Zhu) and Rainie Yang’s 6 year relationship took a big twist. Previously the two made a performance in New York, bickering the entire trip; Rainie lost money because of gambling and was called a “bad luck star” by Show.

Show has just ended his concert in New York, for this activity he invited Rainie Yang as a guest performer. She has never been to New York, and has never entered a casino before, prior to the trip he promised to be her tour guide and lead her to a great experience. He specifically took her gambling, after the two entered the casino Rainie acted very excited and curious, but when Show went to use the restroom during a break Rainie lost $400 which belonged to Show, he angrily scolded her and called her a “bad luck star” but she immediately refuted: “It doesn’t matter, you’re so rich anyways.”

She helped him scatter his money, but in return he ditched her. Show originally promised to take Rainie shopping but Show unexpectedly fell asleep because of jetlag, thus she had to courageously go out alone. Even though the two were not together every day, once they see each other they start bickering, even bringing up the years they did not get along, making the people beside them feel [as if they have to converse a years’ worth of topics in ten minutes.]

Although their playful bickering seems ambiguous, as close as they are they both realize that they won’t fall for each other. Because Show’s chain of rumored girlfriends, for example: Makiyo and Selina are both round faced and have a good body, Rainie who has a small face and is a 32B obviously doesn’t suit his standards. But their daily improving relationship is very helpful to their collaboration. Aside from acting in <Hi My Sweetheart> together, they also partner up for the first time in the duet <In Your Eyes>, compared to his duet with Xiao S in 2004 <Love Experts> to today, Show has already collaborated with many female stars such as Jolin Tsai, Kumi Koda, Elva Hsiao, etc. but Rainie gave her “first” boy girl duet to Show.

Just to clarify something, in case anyone is confused, Selena and Makiyo were only RUMORED girlfriends of Show. They never admitted anything. And, as for the amount currency, they were playing in USD, which was US$400, equally NT$12,000.

But Rainie and Xiao Gui was ten years ago. I don't think it's that awkward. Rainie and Xiao Gui are just really good friends right now. I actually think Rainie is the type of girl Show likes.

Yep I also don't think it's awkward. You always see them joking around on 100% Entertainment. Xiao Gui even pretends he's jealous when guys approach Rainie.

I think that they are a great couple in Hi My Sweetheart! I personally think that what the other's say are true, that he wouldn't not date Rainie because of her body figure! I think she's cute which makes up for the body figure comparison that people make between her and his other girlfriends.

Also, I think that even though they bickered a lot during the trip, the trip itself seemed enjoyable! ^^

Well, NY is only about an hour away, and Show and Rainie stayed in NY most the time. So I guess that's why they kept saying NY, instead of CT.

I actually think Rainie is really Show's type too. Aside from the whole "body figure" thing ppl keep throwing out, Show is always complimenting on how Rainie has an awesome personality and that she's really straightforward. They honestly do have really similar personalities. They are both good at avoiding misunderstandings, they like to keep things straight. Both of them are honest, and after I read the fans magazine, they both say that they have great chemistry. Always "saying the same things at the same time" or "thinking the same things", "asking the same questions" when they see something. They also mentioned how they have the same "tempo" when dealing with life and when they are acting. They really suit each other in a lot of aspects. Apart from recording a new duet titled 'In Your Eyes' together, Taiwanese artists Show Luo and Rainie Yang were recently spotted holidaying together in New York after their onscreen collaboration as lovers in the ongoing Taiwanese drama series, Shanghai Sweetheart. Chummy photographs of the holidaying pair surfaced online and further fuelled ongoing relationship rumours.

30-year-old Show reportedly traveled to New York to hold a few singing performances. He invited Rainie to be his guest star for those shows and brought her around to sightsee during their free time. The pair also made a visit to the Casino after Show learnt that the 25-year-old actress has never visited one before.

At the casino, it was said that Rainie unexpectedly chalked up gambling losses of S$560, which belonged to Show, when the latter made a trip to the gents. She was chided by him for losing the money and was nicknamed "unlucky jinx". Rainie was said to have retorted at his chiding and replied, "It does not matter since you have so much money."

$12,000!! Good grief!! I would love to "scatter his money" for him too! Hahaha... that's funny but definitely for beginners, it can be very enchanting! It's nice to see they were able to have some relaxation time together... I'm so happy that they've become so close and have cleared the air. I have been big fans of both for a long time and I've always thought they were so compatible.

I dunno about them getting together romantically but they're both really silly and playful and not afraid to look dumb. How else do you get Xiao Hua and Da Lang? When I first heard they were going to do a drama together, it was like, slap-my-head, why-haven't-they-done-this-sooner type epiphany. Now having seen their vibe onscreen and offscreen, it's completely hilarious! There's a duet BTS on YT where she rubs his chest with a pink foam hand--I cracked up for days! Whether or not they go further than friends... doesn't matter to me. I think their chemistry as friends is bank! They can laugh all the way TO the bank!

Dude $400USD is a lot of money. But yeah Show definitely has a LOT of money. Probably was nothing to him by the time the TWD amount set in.

And haha @ asianchick.QT's comment about Rainie. She really does still look like a teenager. Without make up she looks even younger. She likely had bodyguards around her? (I'm assuming)

And the way she and Show were dressed - it's very obvious they are celebrities of some sort. The sunglasses. Haha I wonder how much attention they garnered.
