Japanese drama Liar Game lead actress Toda Eriki appeared in Tokyo yesterday for a handshake event to promote her newly released 2010 photo calendar. Around 500 fans came to the event to show their support. When asked about her relationship with Kanjani8 member Murakami Shingo, Toda immediately switched topics, saying "I'm only going to talk about the calendar today."
While it appeared that Toda was trying her best to promote the calendar, her efforts backfired when she blurted out: "At home I don't have a habit of using calendars. I only check dates through my cellphone." Reporters later recommended her to put her own calendar up at home. After hearing that, she exaggeratedly expressed, "Nope, that'll be too weird."

I always did wonder what Erika would say if reporters asked her about Murakami, and she answered perfectly.

If she promotes her calendar, she shouldn't say she's not using a calendar but her cell phone to track on dates. It's common sense, why would you promote something where you in fact do not use it?

Some celebrities are just way too honest. If you're expecting calendar sales, don't tell your fans and the media that you don't even use a calendar. Reminds me of how Miley Cyrus told a reporter she's never listened to Jay-Z's music, yet she sings about it in "Party In The USA".

wow those fans are brutally honest
well its ok im sure she has enough fans to buy her calendars even if the ones she promoted too kinda ignored her.
it would be awkward to have a calendar of yourself at home...
u have to be really concieted to do that sorta thing!
