Starting on the 28th of this month, popular group Arashi will take over Tokyo Metro・Omodesando Station. Posters have been placed inside the station to promote their spring drama special, Saigo no Yakusoku (The Last Promise) airing on Fuji TV January 9th, 2010 at 9:00 pm. Posters are 2.5 meters long by 2.5 meters wide and are wrapped around pillars inside the station.

The suspense drama will follow the lives of five people who happen to be trapped inside a building during a takeover situation. It will depict human relationships between the occupants of the building. The promotional posters feature all five members who have been 'caught'. Furthermore, it is as if they have been tied up tightly against the pillars inside the station, making it a shocking promotional tactic.

Matsumoto Jun (26) said, "In the drama, all five of us are in a hijacking situation, so we decided to 'hijack' Omotesando Station for the New Year. The images of us being trapped in the drama really gives off a grown up feeling. Please don't try to untie us! (laughs)"

kyaaaa i'm getting more and more excited for their upcoming drama! the trailer gives some feeling of suspense to it in some parts! haha

love their concept for promoting the drama! and that's cute of jun to say "please help untie us"

Sorry Cassy, I think I translated it wrong. I think it's suppose to be 'please don't untie us!'. I'm sure there's many people who'd want to take the posters home.

Arashi bondage fics anyone?
at first i went 0.o seeing them, i even thought it's already good w/o the tapes and all but then again, after looking at it for a long time, i just realized that it was rather a nice PR move by adding something that would attract attention, + the fact that it does coincide with the drama's plot..
