It is rumoured that Johnny Kitagawa has in fact been considering NYC boys, right now only a temporary unit, to become a permanent unit in the new year.

It is still not yet confirmed but there is a big chance that this will be happening as the article quotes a JE representative saying: "Although Yuma is already with the group "Nakayama Yuma w/ BI Shadow" and Yamada and Chinen are already with Hey Say Jump, they can also be part of NYC boys, like Nishikido Ryo, who is part of Kanjani 8 and NewS." as well as "Arashi was supposed to be a temporary group for the volleyball support, but it ended up becoming a permanent group."
The article also states that apparently Yamada's hands were shaking because he was so nervous during Kouhaku Uta Gassen on New Year's Eve.

Info:
The "NYC" comes from the initials of Yamada, Nakayama, and Chinen's last names and the four members of B.I.Shadow represent the "boys".

N- Yuma Nakayama
Y- Ryosuke Yamada (Leader)
C- Yuri Chinen

boys:
Kento Nakajima
Fuma Kikuchi
Hokuto Matsumura
Yugo Kochi

Single Release:
Akuma na Koi / NYC (Release Date:July 15, 2009) 1st week sales - 175,788 . Total sales - 275,714

errr, i don't know. until now, i really can't understand why Ryo is a member of 2 groups, NEWS and Kanjani8. can be tiring seeing him run from one group to another, but in a way he's lucky.
but for 3 other Johnnys to have 2 groups can really really be confusing.
who's the leader of HSJ by the way??
but seeing NYC boys are popular, even Johnnys temporary unit can sell well, there might be a chance, but for me, erm, just stick with your original group I'd say. and uhh, the boys are really really young!!

are they grooming Yamada to be the next Yamapi or something? JE's giving him a lot of spotlight, and even a drama lead role.

if only I can, i'd shout to Johnny san, "When will Ikuta Toma ever see his debut??" :tricky:
haha, i know he found his niche in acting and he's great in that field and all, but seriously he can't forever be a Johnnys Jr.
and we would definitely see more of him if he debuts. gosh, these kids are having their debuts first.

seeing how tiring it must be for Ryo to be in 2 groups, i could only pity these boys at such a young age if this would be true. Hey Say Jump seems to be busy this year coz they'll be singing the theme song for yamada's drama.

To tell you the truth I'd be really mad if this turned out to be truth...

I think that letting HSJ debiut was already a huge mistake. They are too young and after they debiuted it turned out that they don't have enough appeal to 'survive' on their own. They constantly needed help of senior groups like KAT-TUN. And even though they oficially debiuted, they still show up on Shounen Club (while other groups immidiately after debiuting stopped taking part in this show and tokk part in it only as special guest).
Same goes for NYC. These are really young boys who also will need help from other groups.

I think that Johnny has other suitable groups to debiut, such as Kis-My-Ft2 who has quite large fanbase and definitely would do great after debiut.
So I hope I'll see them debiut soon and not NYC.

but Yamada and Chinen already debuted with HSJ before. and Yamada's like getting lead roles already in dramas.

i think i don't like the idea. It's tiring enough for Ryo to be switching from NEWS to K8, but at least he's old enough and more experienced.
it can be tiring for this kids, and Yamada's going to be over-exposed and overworked,

HSJ is making a comeback too, they are singing for Yamada's new drama so i guess, better to make HSJ more active and debut the more senior members, than debut another "young" group.

its not that i'm against NYC boys (though i pretty much just want HSJ and YUBIS as stand alones) but...i mean..

didnt johnny-san ever watch Nishikido Ryo's Shounen Club Premium? He has a hard time juggling between groups and he also thought of quitting one of them! and he said there are times that he's so exhausted..(but please dont blame him.. he loves both groups too much to quit)

So i think Johnny thinks it isnt enough to have one talent of his driving himself mad from being in two groups... no..he has to add two more "underage" talents too! i just hope that it IS a rumor...

Jump has fewer projects last year.... couldnt johnny just wait until he has made HSJ as popular as their debuted senpais? (dont throw raw tomatoes at me please... i LOVE jump as much so much that they're tied with NEWS as my ichiban but the prices for their calendars is lower compared to the senpai groups right?)

oh and before i forget...he DOES have some juniors that are more fitting for debuting.. Kismyft2 and ABC..

T_____T

any notice that the debuting groups are getting younger and younger?

oh wait... and let's remember JUMP hasnt even released an ALBUM yet... and now this!

ehhhmm..they are too young to be juggling in 2 groups.
but since they might not be allowed to be "overworked", their other groups might suffer, like for example HSJ might be doing less this year.
ahh no, better make them have one group.

does this mean that Nakayama Yuma w/B.I.Shadow wouldn't exist anymore? they're a trainee group as far as i know..
if that was the case, then i would probably have to be selfish and say that i would prefer NYC Boys becoming a permanant unit..
i'm become a bigger fan of Nakayama Yuma w/B.I.Shadow compared with HSJ, and so naturally i would like to see more of them..
but of course, its true.. Chinen and Yamada are both young and one group alone is tough, let alone two..

Johnny-san, instead of debuting younger groups, why don't you focus on older groups like kisumai and A.B.C.-Z? When will they debut?! I have nothing against NYC Boys and I like their songs, but they are too young! Yamada and Chinen are already a part of HSJ, now NYC Boys? Poor those kids...

why can't there be at least a rumor of Toma debuting?!?! why~~~~!! >.<

I think it's a bit of a shame that people are still naming groups with names then the "extras" are just boys instead of just a group name. Why not just make them NYC as NYC. It just means the "boys" will never be popular or have their chance cos everything has already been set.

NYC will get more chances to be popular with multiple groups like Ryo and Uchi. =/
