THEY love Thailand so much that they have returned to meet their fans - barely half a year after their last visit.

We're talking about the Korean boyband 2PM, made up of six fresh-faced lads. 2PM has been selected by the Thai government-led tourism campaign, I Love Thailand, as representatives of foreign artistes.

Their energetic combination of funky hip-hop, acrobatic dances and athleticism have attracted many fervent female followers in Bangkok. All their albums have sold like hotcakes in Thailand.

This time, they were back to promote their latest full-length release, titled 1: 59PM.

When U-Weekly made a trip to cover 2PM's album launch in Bangkok last month, over 10,000 fans mobbed the pretty boys.

2PM - which comprises Kim Junsu, 22, Nichkhun Buck Horvejkul and Ok Taecyeon, both 21, 20-year-olds Jang Wooyoung and Lee Junho, and the youngest Hwang Chansung, 19 - made two appearances at shopping mall Siam Paragon.

The first, on 31 Jan, was when the boys graced a national singing competition as special guests.

Hit songs

When they started singing their hit songs Again & Again/I Hate You and Heartbeat, the girls screamed and sang along to every line.

At one point, five out of the six members leapt from the stage to interact with the crowd.

It was the same situation a day later, when 2PM met the press at the Siam Paragon cineplex.

Nichkhun, who is of mixed Thai-Chinese origin, impressed reporters with his fluent command of Thai.

Little wonder why the Thai media has dubbed him the nation's 'pride and joy'.

He has also been selected by the Tourism Authority of Thailand as the face of its newest campaign, Come To Thailand: Let's Take A Break.

Fans present at the press conference also bought a cake to celebrate the birthdays of Junso, Junho and Chansung - the trio happen to be January and February babies.

As a parting note, the lads promised everyone that they will be back very soon to hold a large-scale concert.
