Vic Chou, after gaining massive popularity from the hit drama, “Black & White,” has been receiving invitations non-stop to star in movies. Originally, Vic declined the offer to film the movie version of “Black & White” and decided to film, “The Killer Never Kills” (殺手 歐陽盆栽). However, due to the change in Director, problems with the script and other issues, there have been rumors that the project has been put on halt. Vic has waited two months for the project and his manager expresses, “He will be filming the drama 回家 (Hui Jia / Returning Home) in March, so there is no way for him to accommodate.” Producer Zeng Bao Yi of “Killer” confirms that the project has been postponed and that they will try their best to arrange their schedules with both sides.

Yesterday, Vic expressed through his manager Zhi Xiang Li, “He already spent one to two months in training, so of course he hopes that he can continue in the project.” Last year, it was also due to scheduling that he turned down the offer to act alongside Mark Chao in the “Black & White” movie. Producer Yu Xiao Hui of “Black & White” expressed, “We will begin filming in June and the cast will have a male and female actor from Mainland China.” She also added that because they have already changed the script around, they have no plans of asking Vic to be in the project again.

The movie Black & White is going to do poorly without Vic Zhou. He's the main male character and the biggest audience drawer.

Thanks for the news.

The headline is rather deceiving. Actually, it was not the UDN headline but the Apple news headline which is always sensationalized.
The UDN headline says "Change of director, alter script, Zaizai will not be Killer anymore".

Another wrong media info - main reason ZZ cannot film B&W movie is due to clash with the drama Return Home which films from Mar-Aug. So even if ZZ do not take up the Killer movie, his schedule is still full.

Hope things can still turn out good and Zaizai can still film the Killer movie. Will have to see if the scheduling can work, but it looks tough.

Jiayou ZZ! I am sure you have even better movie scripts waiting for you. :D

Chou Yu Min did his part EXCELLENTLY indeed in Black and White drama. :thumbsup
He won't be in the movie meaning I need not to watch it.
I think, they must change the title.
Do you think it would be nice to call it Black and White without Black?

It's so obvious that the real reason why Vic Zhou can't film in B & W movie is because Vic's manager is mad that Vic did not get the award. I mean the movie will not be the same w/o the male lead this is obvious too. I would stop him from playing in it too. I mean Vic did a good job in it and he did not even get the award but a newbie got it in stead not saying that Mark did bad but I think Vic should have got it because he has been in the entertainment business long. All this is just politic.

Thanks for supporting ZZ. Just need to clarify something.

Actually, even before the Golden Bell Award, there were already a number of news reports that ZZ might not be able to act in B&W movie due to scheduling issue. Hence it is not related to the award at all. ZZ has been waiting for the B&W movie to start filming since Aug or Sept 2009 but since it kept getting delayed, he could not wait anymore and accepted other works.

As for the award, it is best not to discuss that anymore to avoid arguments amongst fans. ZZ has always stated he was already very happy to be nominated and thinks that veteran actor Zhang Tse should be winning. Plus, he has already left an unforgettable memory in audience heart as Pizi Ruffian and that is even more important than winning any award. And ZZ has moved forward which is the most important thing.

Hope that the Killer movie scheduling, script, director etc can still work out to fit ZZ's schedule as it is a very interesting and challenging role for ZZ. But the film production company is a new inexperienced team, so that they need do much better than what is happening now.

But I am sure ZZ will continue to awe and win audience's heart with any role he takes on in the future, whether it is his upcoming movie Love you 10000 Years where he acts as rough and gruff rocker (see my siggy below for pix) or as a Military Doctor in the new drama Return Home.

Huh? It's still on? Hahaha!!

Yeah, I hope they work things through too for the Killer movie. Maybe if Eric Tsang step in it might help? Oh well, have to wait and see.

Me too! Though I know more fans anticipate Killer movie, but I have a secret flame for Rocker Zai in Love You 10000 Years. Can't wait to see him sing rock songs with the band, plus am saving money to buy the movie OST - Zaizai singing again! And of course, the drama too - still wondering who will be the female lead.
