‘Princess of Cute’ Rainie Yang is scared of Wu Zun’s good lucks! The two will collaborate in new idol drama ‘陽光小妹’ (lit trans: Sunshine Girl’) in May. Upon knowing that her new co-star would be Wu Zun, Rainie admitted that she had been looking forward to working with him for a long time, but her first reaction was: “I’m dead! He’s even prettier than me! Will other people think he’s the female lead?” The 2 have not formally met yet, and already Rainie is worried that her own beauty is not up to par with his.

Amazed by Wu Zun’s good looks

Last year, Rainie missed the chance to collaborate with Wu Zun in ‘ToGetHer’ But this year, the chance has come again! The 2 are not very familiar with each other as this will be their first collaboration together. However, back when Wu Zun filmed ‘Tokyo Juliet’ with Ariel Lin, Rainie once went to visit her good friend, so she also got to meet Wu Zun, who wasn’t as popular back then. Her first impression of Wu Zun was: “This person is too pretty ah!” Even till now, Wu Zun’s good looks have left a deep impression on her. Rainie revealed that the person she would most like to collaborate with is film king Tony Leung, however she feels that this seems impossible.

Very full work schedule

Besides dramas, Rainie has also accepted 6 endorsements in only 4 months, and within the year, she also has to film advertisements that she had accepted last year. Her work schedule is very full. Yesterday, Rainie attended a promotion event for her new beauty beverage endorsement, and revealed that she once had severe constipation problems, and couldn’t go toilet for 10 days. She expressed that it’s very embarrassing to tell this story but after she drank the beauty beverage, the constipation problem immediately disappeared and even her skin became more smooth.

Ah, they *finally* get to collaborate! I've been waiting and expecting for it to happen for awhile, and now they'll finally have a chance. I think they'll get along wonderfully. Any word on what the drama's about yet?

Awesome news! Can't wait to hear more about the drama... this is a really unexpected pairing for me. I don't know if I really like it just yet... I'll have to wait to see them together. Chun always seems to shy--I think Rainie's just gonna steamroll him! Haha... no really, I like them both. I hope it's a GREAT drama!

No, the article was just worded misleadingly. It just meant to say that she worked with Fahrenheit previously, but not Wu Zun yet. Wu Zun was never expected to be the male lead in ToGetHer. The main character in the story, Mars, is based practically 85% or more on Jiro Wang's real life and his experiences.

so im like really jealous of rainie.. this woman got to work with pretty much the hottest guys in Taiwan dramas. Now she even gets to work with my dream guy lmfao anywho cant wait to see this!

nah its because back then, there were rumours that rainie was disappointed about being paired up with jiro in ToGetHer cuz she actually wanted to work with chun
it was all jus rumours that the media probably hyped up, cuz i dont think she actually said anything like that,
but yea thats what the article is referring to

anyways im excited about seeing chun in a drama again.. its been so long!!
although i am a bit wary of GTV scripts tbh.. but apparantly GTV is gonna follow the original script of the manga this time instead of adapting it as usual, which i think is a better idea

let's hope the collaboration will be full of Fireworks and surprises... rainie does have a bit much of endorsement deals going on lately. .. hopefully the drama will indeed follow the original manga script than adaptation.. really afraid to be disappointed half way... and not watching the series 1/2 way.

It's funny to know that a girl is afraid that a prospect love partner is prettier than her. And it's funny when she said, "Will other people think he’s the female lead?". I'm not really a fan of Wu Chun neither Rainie but I have to agree that Wu Chun has quite an appeal and appearance. Especially when he looks all so serious. I've heard about ToGetHer but I don't think it appealed to the viewers. Haven't seen a lot of JiroxRainie fans out there.

Never really been a Wu Chun fan even though I've attempted to watched his series... to be honest, he's probably one of the last actors I want to see Rainie with... not because he's not good or anything, especially since he's so widely known for his looks, but his acting's just... not my type? But hopefully this will come out good!

I can't really see this couple together, because I feel that Rainie has the best chemistry with Show Luo or Mike He (Honestly, I like her with Show.) Also, her personality to me doesn't really suit Wu Chun...I wonder if the Chunella fanatic craze has passed yet? Jerry Yan and Ella Chen's coupling failed to raise high ratings, so I'm surprised that they will pair these two together. I feel that this drama won't get high ratings, just like ToGetHer, though...

Love Rainie & Wu Chun. The girl can act & is super sweet. I didn't love her previous drama with Show and I blame that on the over the top directing. Wu Chun was awesome in "14 Blades". The guy is balanced with masculinity & gentleness and is magnetic on screen. I think with a decent storyline & directing, it could be a great drama. Excited.

Rainie is very perceptive.
This has always been the case with Wu Chun and his co-stars. When has there ever been a co-star of his that is prettier than him?

Ariel, Angela, Charlene, Ella all have their own charm, but, standing beside Wu Chun, Wu Chun is obviously the prettier one.

NO! honestly, i don't like Rainie and Chun's chemistry. i don't think they will make a good pairing... and i'm making a guess that this drama will not let GTV recover from the low ratings.
and it's based on manga again. aren't they tired of producing dramas based on mangas? couldn't they make an original story?
nevertheless, i'll still be looking forward to this drama because of Chun. but i don't think i'll be enjoying this drama as much as i enjoy the other dramas. but of course, i'll supporting it as much as i can!

I don't want to dampen anyone's happy mood here but I don't find Rainie and Wu Zun pairing appealing at all. For now, at least. And Rainie has been so all over the place since last year if I'm not mistaken so I'm kinda tired seeing her in another drama. I just hope that her character won't be overtly cute like her past characters and I hope Wu Zun's acting would be a bit better.

Sigh. This might sound completely off topic, but I wished Jerry Yan and Ariel Lin's skip beat project pushed through. It was the perfect unexpected pairing and plot for a drama project. Or Maybe I'd be more excited if they paired Rainie with Jerry instead. Maybe in the future?

No-one can be sure of the chemistry between a male and female lead until the filming commence. So Wu Zun and Rainie pairing have every bit of chance of being a successful one. Who knows, Rainie might turn out to be Wu Zun best leading lady or vice versa?

So better to wait for this new fresh pairing to get together before its judged. Afterall, didnt many fresh pairing such as Jerry Yan with Ella Chen, Joe Chen with Ethan Ruan , Vanness Wu with Ady An and Show with Rainie, turned out to have excellent chemistry?

So, I am all for fresh new pairing.

Me Too!! I really like CHUN AND ELLA TOGETHER!!! Not Rainie and Chun, they dont make a good couple......... And GTV always make dramas base on manga, and this is probably the reason why the rating are always low and they never find a cute couple together. Chun and Rainie doesnt fit. But I doubt that this drama's rating will be low too, it won't beat TTV / SETTV, they dont make drama base on mangas.

sorry but it's really true if Mars in TOGETHER sould be wu chun i'm glad it's was not him ... because i prefer JIRO XDDDD ... but this girl is so lucky ... to acting with many guys that i love in taiwan ... like mike he, lee wei, jiro wang ... and now wu chun (as same if i don't like him ) sorry ^^ maybe the next time will be "joe cheng" XD like ariel lin who acted with mike he in "love contract" ...
