Raymond Lam cervical displacement collapses and sent to hospital

Following the completion of his concert, Raymond has been working nonstop and is currently busy filming for TVB new series Colorful World of Sister Fa with Charmaine Sheh. Not sure if this incident is related to spraining himself earlier at the dance rehearsal of his concert and that he did not get proper care, coupled with physically overworking himself, his body finally put off the alarm. That afternoon, he couldn't handle it anymore and collapsed, Raymond felt that he couldn't move his neck and was eventually admitted to the hospital. Raymond's father learned of the incident and immediately accompanied his son to the hospital.

After the doctor diagnosed him, it was confirmed he had cervical displacement, two of his bones were protruding out with great pressure on the nerves. He will not be able to move his shoulders or neck in the mean time. The doctor said that he'll have to remain in the hospital for two more days for more detailed observations. Due to this, Raymond was unable to attend the 2010 JSG Selections Round 2 held last night to accept his 1.5 awards. The performance for one of his winning songs, a duet with Charlene Choi, had to be canceled. However, during the time Raymond revealed his condition through the phone on the hospital bed, he said weakly: "Sorry I wasn't able to come, but right now my neck can move a little. Perhaps I've had too much work lately, so my old injuries came back. I promise everyone that I will recover soon."

As for other singers including Joey Yung, Miriam Yeung and Charlene Choi, were all worried about Raymond's condition. Joey said: "I haven't send my regards to him yet, just found out about it. I hope he'll take good care of himself because he has a lot of fans, don't let them worry. (Do you feel it's the price for being famous?) Yea, poor Raymond. Being a workaholic is fine, but he should take care of his body. He only has one - and it's his money-making machine. Bad health = no jobs.

Poor guy!! Hope he gets plenty of rest, get well soon and be more careful next time with his health!! And TVB should give the artistes more rest instead of giving them tight schedules!!

This is the result of TVB overworking their artists.
Overworking them by piling their jobs one after another without allowing them proper rest is damaging their health.
More of these incidents will occur to other artists in the future if TVB doesn't think on behalf of their health.
