Selina (SHE) Burned While Filming in Shanghai

While filming a blast scene for "I have a date with spring" in Shanghai; entertainer Selina was accidently injured. Selina's manager said tonight, Selina's hand and feet suffered serious burns, and is currently at Shanghai Ruijin Hospital.

Selina's manager expressed, wheile Selina was filming a blast scene for "I have a date with spring", was accidently injured, the doctors preliminary reports burns, Selina's hand and feet is more serious, and has suffered shock, while on the way to the hospital, she was very clear, and is stable at the moment, and will be receiving initial treatment, and is currently resting, please do not worry.

HIM Record company higher management has already rushed to the hosptial at first timing, hopes the hospitla will give Selina the best treatment and care. The manager has also thanked everyone's care, and give well wishes to Selina.

Found out about this news through all the weibo updates this afternoon. It's good to get some clearer information on this though. I hope Selina recovers soon, and i heard that it may not actually be as bad as the media has said. It's a long-shot but maybe there won't be scars?

I read many news yesterday, some reported 50% of her body got burned, some said 35% and some said just only 5%.

Selina Ren of S.H.E was seriously injured during an accident on the set of her new drama in Shanghai. Early rumors suggested that she received burns of varying degrees (50% in one version), but were later denied by her record company. HIM records posted the following message on their website:

“Thank you for everyone’s concern on Selina’s injury during the filming of her drama!
Selina received burns from an accident this afternoon while filming an explosion scene in Shanghai. Her condition is currently stable after she has been taken to the hospital. She is currently resting.
Please don’t worry! Executives from the company, her dad and Ah Chong (her fiancé) have flown to Shanghai right away. They will give Selina the best medical treatment and care. Her two pals were also notified immediately. Since they already have activities scheduled for tomorrow, Hebe and Ella will gather themselves up and complete their tasks.
Thank you for everyone’s concern, and please give Selina your best wishes.�

Selina was in Shanghai to film the TV adaptation of the 1994 movie “I have a date with springâ€�. She and costar Yu Hao Ming(俞灝明) were shooting an explosion scene on the morning of the 22nd. According to news sources, Yu noticed something went wrong and tried to shield her from the accident. He was said to have suffered even more serious burns as a result.

HIM Records executive Derek Shih provided additional updates on his blog: Selina is suffering from 3rd degree burns on her arms, legs and back which will require skin grafts. Her family and doctors are discussing the possibility of transporting her back to Taiwan for further treatment. They have submitted a request with the International SOS (same medical service that flew cameraman Ko Chang back home after he was shot in India.)

Shih explained that the accident happened around 4pm on the 22nd. The explosives went off early during a scene which resulted in the accident. They rehearsed 6 to 7 times prior to filming without any problems. On rumors of the seriously injured Yu Hao Ming, Shih asked fans to refrain from visiting the hospital and pray for the two actors instead.

i really really really hope with all my heart that the media is blowing it out of proportion and its not actually that serious.. cuz it sounds so scary T_T

i feel worse for Yu Hao Ming.. his manager said he has 3rd degree burns over 35% of his body & hes still in critical condition
man i have so much respect for the guy.. theres not alot of people out there who would do something as brave as what he did

and of course Selina.. any girl having to go through something like this is just horrible ><
especially someone like her who's so into fashion and she was gonna get married soon!!
but yea.. hopefully both of them will be okay.......

I was shocked when I saw this news. Aw, they said the burns are the third degree, I hope it won't leave scars on her beautiful hands and feet.
Life feels so fragile...accidents like this can just happen like that. Praying for Selina and also the male lead to recover well.

Hope both Selina and Yu Haoming will recover well without complications. With 3rd degree burns, I doubt they can get away without scarring, but hopefully it will be minimal and heal pretty much completely over time. It must have been such a shock for them and for their families/friends. I doubt they were expecting anything like that to happen when they went for a routine day of filming Sometimes I forget that actors/actresses/crew actually do put themselves on the line when they do explosion, fire, stunt, etc. scenes. May they have a speedy recovery and get back to full health soon <3

And Yu Hao Ming did a really brave thing there. I read that he had 3rd degree burns on 35% of his body and still in ICU - I felt so sad when I read that and almost wanted to cry. I don't know him well but know he has a huge fanbase in China and has seen one of his singing performance (he has the talent). Hope he will recover in due time.

I really really hope that Hao Ming recovers well. 3rd degree burns is pretty serious But you know what, he is such a gentleman and deserves so much honour. He shielded Selina, so thank you so much.

Hope things will go well for both of them, technology and medical knowledge these days are a lot higher, and so hope they are going to be ok.

Man... Yu Hao Ming is definitely a hero/gentleman for doing this.
