Gaile Lok acknowledges pregnancy
The Hong Kong model did not deny being pregnant at a recent event

Each time she was rumoured to be pregnant, Hong Kong model Gaile Lok would deny the allegations.

However, the wife of Hong Kong singer-actor Leon Lai did nothing but fuelled these speculations at a recent event.

Gaile appeared more plump than usual. When reporters asked if she was pregnant, the usually truthful Gaile replied, "I wouldn't answer you this time," hinting that she is already pregnant.

Reporters then quizzed the model if she was at least two months' pregnant. Gaile smiled, but did not answer. The model also hemmed and hawed when reporters asked if she was afraid of breaking traditions. According to Chinese superstitions, one should not announce her pregnancy until after the third month.

According to an insider, Gaile had quit smoking after her recent visit to the gynaecologist.

"You tend to become swollen after you quit smoking. She [Gaile Lok] knows that she has to eat a lot now that she's pregnant, so she became plumper," the source said.

Apart from quitting smoking, Gaile had already put a stop to her work and is currently focused on her pregnancy.

The model was also initially worried about Leon's reaction before she told him about the pregnancy. However, the singer was said to be overjoyed when he got the news and even told friends that he wants a daughter.

"He [Leon] was very happy. His parents divorced when he was very young, and as he's the only son, he had a lonely childhood. He's always preferred girls, because he feels that they'd be Daddy's girls. It's obvious; the artistes in his company are mostly females," the friend said.

I hope this is true. As a fan of Leon for so many years, always hope he will have a family with at least a kid!!
I think in general, most men preferred daughter whereas most women preferred son. However, they will still love their child regardless of gender.
