I hope some kind soul will upload it on Tudou for overseas viewers like me. Really want to watch this version as my Cantonese is better than my Mandarin.

According to Ariel's post, Ariel's grandma is a HUGE fan of Da Ren, so Ariel helped her to make a Da Ren mask, and then Ariel's younger brother put on the mask to help promote Ariel and Bolin's movie, Love Sick, which was just released in Taiwan. (When Ariel and Bolin were promoting on the Evening with Swallow show, Ariel mentioned that Bolin's facial structure looked similar to her younger brother's).

Bolin responded to Ariel's post with a laugh, saying hi to Ariel's younger brother and blowing kisses to Ariel's grandma So cute. Bet Ariel's grandma is gleeful

I hope Ariel and Bolin will be able to promote ITWY together internationally...

To everyone who understand Chinese. Does anyone know what Da Ren write to You Qing on the little paper in episode 13? Did he ask her questions from his imaginations or just his love for her alone? Did he actually write "That's right. I lost to you whom I love deeply." on paper? Cuz that would be his confession (though not face-to-face, right?) Cuz the illusion came up right after that so I am not sure what he actually did write for her.

The song, I will not like you reach number one in last week KKbox top 100.
Many, including me, found it surprise. This song is just an insert song, not an opening or ending song. Chen Bo Lin is not a singer. His vocals just so.. so... But still, he manage to beat many other top singer and secure a number one spot.

Dec 17, there was a autograph signing for Mag Hsu new novel, Ma Zi Men. Chen Bo lin, Lin Mei Xiu (Chen ma ma), Joycee Chan, Megan Lai were there to support her.

There was news (or rumor?) Jerry Yan had been approached by production team to act as Li Da Ren. Mag Hsu said she heard that, but the first name the production gave her was Chen Bo Lin. She was not optimistic about him, afraid he might be too young, cannot Interpret Li Da Ren passiveness . But after the director shown her the samples, she totally get hooked. Bo Lin's version of Li Da Ren has it's own flavour.

I agree that Chen Bo Lin(CBL)'s voice is just so so. LDR sang off-key rendering this song to his new bride on the plane - making me wonder whether it was done on purpose or whether BL's recorded version has been "electronically refined" in a music studio.

Maybe it's just me...I've always considered BL's LDR to be far more attractive than DLW. Despite his severe passivity which has made me want to wring his neck countless times, I find DR's dimply smiles and super-caring nature more than compensated for that deficiency. He's been tailor-made for CYQ. Once they got their relationship going, DR's passivity actually complemented YQ's assertive nature. They'd get along fine as DR would be very happy accommodating his wife's wishes. It augurs well for their marriage. I don't know about BL's electrifying gazes, but I would likely have swooned if he were to flash his smiles at me and display his killer dimples!

BL has played the role of DR superbly. He has nailed the character of super-passive DR right down to a T. His DR was truly passivity personified. So I, too, can't picture anyone else but CBL as LDR in ITWY.

Now, DLW on the contrary, has managed to repulse me. I know many would say that he is attractive. To each her own, I suppose. I've always been put off by bad boys, particularly cheating ones. And those extremely ugly tattoos LW had on his body...yuck!!!

Finally, reality hits, I won't have ITWY Ep 14 to watch in 4 hours' time! On the brighter side, perhaps a tad early but here's wishing everyone a very blessed Xmas and 2012. May next year usher in lots of great dramas which might reunite us on this site again!

teratai, I loathed LW as a character, too, the poor guy didn't have one single redeeming quality about him, plus Sunny's tattoos were a major turn off every time he appeared shirtless, or better sleeveless...and someone took care that we see as much as possible of those creepy tattoos on his arms and back...yuck!! I swear, every second scene of Sunny contained his tats for show off, his half nekkid appearances getting totally distasteful after a while
Bolin was a cutie pie when he smiled, but sadly, we have barely seen him doing that in the drama.

I like his airplane's off-keyed version. I think it's meant to be funny and I like it because now I don't invision that song to be sad and serious, but funny.

I'm really missing my weekly episode of ITWY right now... I know ITWY was pretty popular in Taiwan and China, but does anyone know if it's going to be airing anywhere else? (Singapore, too, right?) I'm curious to see what the reception is/would be for ITWY in Japan, Korea, across Asia.

So excited about the re-airing of ITWY! I think there's going to be an extended DVD edition with BTS clips and the new full episodes released later?

It's blur, but from what he narrative it, you still can guess it all.

Thanks, Daydee, I didn't know homespunthings posted there. I was the one asking her about it via email. Hehe, okay, I guess I can be satisfied with just confession on paper. I guess Mag Hsu wanted to keep it that way to keep Da Ren consistent with who he really is. There are passive people out there who will do it through writing. It's normal.

I translated lyrics for Biung Wang’s Starting from Now and Aggie’s Revolving Door since I didn't see them anywhere on the interwebs... (first posted at Couch Kimchi, I don't blog so I'm just randomly leaving these in comments to other people's awesome blogs)

I've been humming along to the whole soundtrack for weeks without really paying attention to the lyrics till I started doing this .... the lyrics are lovely and beautifully tied in with the script, I really love how the travel and spinning metaphors show up in the finale with YQ's meditations on the Turkish whirling dance.

I aimed to capture the sentiment over literal word-for-word translations but if anyone has edits to suggest please send them my way as some of the phrases are pretty deep.

as for the 2nd video, it match the dialogue in the last episode,
In the first eps, DR said "Da ren bu ji xiao ren guo = idiom, literally mean big hearted people don't take little people’s offenses to heart
In the last eps, YQ reply 'da ren bu ji xiao ren guo, that phrase is already out ! now it is Xiao ren shen qi da ren cuo (little people angry, its da ren's fault)

I read from ITWY fb there were total of 5 additional scene. But aside from those posted in the link above, I can't find the other 2. I guess I missed it.

Actually you can watch it live from justin.tv too. I watched the last 15 minutes of it yesterday, from my tablet, but I can't watch it from my PC. Don't know whats wrong.

Any ideas what YQ & DR's scene in episode 2 say or could someone please translate it? (Awww, it's sad to watch it and not understanding it.) I will more likely won't rewatch it live especially if I don't understand it, so I am thankful if you see anything new and share it.

I think this writer's forte is in creating subtle dialogues, and finding meaningfulness in ordinary, plain things or situations, the audience being easily touched upon by these little 'nothings'. I know that it seems that I hated ITWY the drama, (I criticized it a lot); I did like it though (not loved it), because it was well directed, well acted, and well written except for the characters, that were too monochromatic and simplistic in their depictions for my taste, and also some of them were so flawed without signs of any redemption ( which can turn you off from an entire drama, even when it excels generally in everything, from cinematography to acting) Another weakness of this writer, I think, is in her general way of story telling: she lingers too much on silences and static dialogues, without actually moving organically the plot, which would be totally okay for me, but it feels that her characters are more puppets always moved by fate's external and invisible happenings, than real people who act also because of their personality quirks.

Finally made it to this thread! hi guys. mind if i join the convos?

I started watching ITWY when the first ep/subs was made available on viki. thanks to Swim for giving me the link over at twitter. I don't know if i regret that it was only recently when i resumed watching it. see, with a drama as beautiful this beautiful, i don't think i could have survived waiting for an ep on a weekly basis. Just had to watch the whole series in one go. but that means I wasn't able to join in on the convos when each episode came out. So, now I have to go through 18 pages. but i know i am deffo gonna enjoy backreading!

I've been tweeting about this series a lot which got some of my followers curious and I am delighted to receive their tweets thanking me for tweeting about it as they are hooked and are in love with the series. here's to influencing more people into watching this series. hah!

thanks daydee fore translating LDR's note. like sunshine4ever02, i was also wondering if this part "That’s right, I lost. I lost to you, whom I love so much." was actually in the note or he was just thinking it. so he did write it there. viki subs i believe don't have this part, "But it was really worth it." i love that he added that. made me go 'aww' again at Li Da Ren. and i did that "awwwing" in the series quite a lot. lol.

I've been Ariel's fan for a long time. and I just became Chen Bo Lin's fan coz of this series. he played LDR's role perfectly. and I also, couldn't imagine anyone else playing that role. i believe they got the right guy to play this role. I could go on and on about how wonderful Ariel and BoLin were in this series, and how more of a WInnie fan i am now. maybe i would do that in the next days. There's a lot i wanna say about the series but i don't know where to start so i think i'Il just go backread first.

oh btw, while watching this series over at viki, i had the comments turned on, and there were those who were saying that if not for Li Da Ren, Ding Li Wei would have made great boyfriend. WHAT?!?! Was I the only one who was thinking that he was only pretending to be this great boyfriend, but once they are married he'd have things go his way? ah yeah, i never did like DLW. nor did i find Sunny hot. oops. sorry. *dodges tomatoes*

oh. and the flaw i can think of in this series are those disappearing/reappearing car headrests.

I'm sitting through a marathon of this series again and I must say, YQ is still hard to take sometimes, but at the end of the day she is still a nice girl. DR is too good to be true but way to timid.

This being a re-watch, I like YQ more and DR less, maybe because I'm influence by their real life personalities. I liked Ariel through this series and admire her more when watching off screen, but Chen Bo Lin is the other way around, I adored him through this series but I lost some respect for him when I read up more about him and watched his interviews.

I still don't understand why Ding Li Wei wanted Cheng You Ching so badly, I don't doubt out of all the women he's known, she was the one he loved, but the guy was a serial cheater, why bother to strap himself with a wife.

Been searching for 2 days, but sill no one post the cut video for the extention part.

As far as I know, there were 3 additional scene
the first one, after Nic bought a slipper to YQ (Original version ended here), he waited for taxi, with YQ. and then it started raining, He used his bag to cover YQ and asked the driver to take YQ home, YQ insisted she had to go back to her office since she still had a lot of work to do. But Nic said he would take care of it all.



The 2nd one, dialogue with YQ sister, nice and nephew and niece. This one is sweet.
Yoyo, her niece is taking her square head lion (without permission) and was thanking her saying "Mummy said litle auntie love me the most. So, as long as I like it, auntie will definetely give it to me"
YQ mad at her sister, for taking her things without asking and said "This is my one and only 30th birthday present" and said to Yoyo "You have to ask permission before taking other people's things. This one is a very important things to me. Even if you asked for it, I cannot give it to you" And when Yoyo refused to return it, she raised her voice and her sister take the square-head lion doll from Yoyo and returned it to YQ, with a lot of complain. YQ caress it wholeheartedly and said "How could I let you guys leave my side"



the 3 rd one, YQ meet her friends in Tai Zhong ang they talked for a while.

I'm a terible translator, but still I really want to share this additional scene with everybody. The dialogue might not be accurate, sorry if I make some mistakes.

@daydee Big thanks for translating those additional scenes. You're awesome! It's pretty cute how she treasures those square maned lion from Da Ren. If I remember she didn't really liked them at first. Maybe she was really touched with Da Ren's sincere explanation.

thank you daydee for the translation! too bad they cut those scenes out. specially the 2nd one!!! it goes to show how important Da Ren/Da Ren's gift is for her. I know how hard it is to not give in to requests of nieces/nephews, but YQ had to stand her ground, after all those are Da Ren's gifts. I think even if she received a lot of birthday gifts, she still wouldn't part with those gifts. too meaningful for her. too important for her. the gift. moreso, the giver.

and her uttering "how can u guys leave my side". think what she is really saying is that she doesn't want Da Ren to leave her. am i thinking too much here. haha. sorry. if i overanalyze. i just love analyzing this series.

and i love how they got a dog when they got married. i don't know what u guys have said discussed about that as I haven't backread but I am happy that they got one. i think that it means something more. remember when the girls wanted a Cat logo/mascot while the boys a dog. and YQ and DR now has a dog.

edit: ok i backread... this is why i wanted to go the thread when i finished watching the series.. i knew I would find great insights here...

was I the only one who suspected that DLW was cheating on YQ with his assistant? noticed the body language/interaction of the assistant and DLW. think it became obvious (to me) at the airport when DLW and YQ arrived from SG after the plane crash.

but yeah... i was hoping YQ would tell DLW that she can't marry him coz she realized that it is LDR she loves.

Idol drama "In Time With You" will be filming a movie version. Director Winnie Qu You Ning said yesterday that the movie will definitely be filmed with the original cast. They are currently coordinating everyone's schedules and hope to start filming by the end of the year.

Winnie expressed that the movie version of 'In Time With You' has been in its planning stage and will show the things you couldn't see in the drama version up on the big screen.
