Weibo accounts of Tang Wei and Ge You terminated

CHINA - Major Chinese dailies also reported that the Weibo accounts of Chinese artistes Tang Wei and Ge You were terminated after they condemned the authorities over the train crash in China.

Weibo is a popular Twitter-like service used by the Chinese.

Soon after the incident last Saturday, Ge You wrote: "So many people have died, but there was no apology."

However, his account was terminated after he sent out the text, while Tang Wei's account was also blocked.

Artistes from China and Hong Kong including Donnie Yen, Zhao Wei and Liza Wang also expressed their sadness over the tragedy.

They sent their condolences via Weibo to the victims' families and advised them to stay strong.

A devout Buddhist, Faye Wong said she would pray for the victims for three days.

That's what happens when you have state media controlling everything. I have more sympathy for both Tang and Ge and it's their opinion.

This is a sorry state of affairs their Ministry of Railways took and brought a national shame to the victims and everyone seeing the tragedy and the news.

"Dere's evil in de whole lot of dem at the Railways Ministry"

thought they got terminated because of something else... didn't think China would go that far to censor them out o_O .... wait.. this is CHINA we're talking about.. what was I thinking.. :loool:

Gah.. i hate how the China govt thinks their people are stupid or something.. You can block this or that all you want, at the end of the day, people would still demand explanations.
