At the recent 2011 Esquire China Men of the Year Awards in Beijing, television actress Sun Feifei's (孙菲菲) white dress sash was stepped on by event host Fang Ling (方龄), which resulted in her dress falling off and her skin-colored bra being exposed. The incident echoes last week's Blue Vein Boob-gate, involving fellow C-lister Liu Yuxin's usage of a pushup bra about four sizes too small for her in front of paparazzi.

From the looks of it, there is something suspect about the gestures and expressions on Sun's face, as she reacts to the gifts her mother (or her surgeon) bestowed to her being semi-exposed in front of a horde of cameras.

The comedic splaying of Sun's arms and her poorly conveyed mock-surprise, along with the exaggerated look of oops on Fang's face, give us the impression that the whole thing was a planned publicity stunt.

Which we can surely understand. Given that all the boob-gloves seemingly came off in 2011, with a whole league of actresses striving to be noticed for the quality of their chest shape and sartorial framing (the reigning queen of this is Hunan TV host Liu Yan [柳岩]), Chinese celebrities will likely continue to keep showing off their treasure chests until the government drops the ban-hammer on the practice.

Some part of us wants to sympathize (in a totally non-partronizing fashion) with the Sun Feifei's and Liu Yuxin's of the world, who obviously smack of some desperation in their bid to get a little attention.

Sun, a graduate of the Beijing Dance Academy (alma mater of Gong Li and Zhang Ziyi) from Xi'an, will be 31-years-old in two months' time, and perhaps knows that revealing your cleavage with a falling-dress stunt is quite the savvy career move.

When the sand in the hourglass of brief celebrity is more at the bottom than it is at the top, we imagine one does whatever they have to to stay abreast of the ever-shifting waves of public taste.

Sun Feifei experienced a most embarrassing moment at the Men of the Year 2011 Awards in China.

The Chinese actress was to walk the red carpet with TV host Fang Ling at the Sunday event.

After a brief photography session, Sun continued walking, unaware that Fang Ling had stepped on her dress.

Her dress slipped off, exposing Sun's bra.

The shocked actress immediately pulled the dress up while her assistant rushed to place a coat over Sun.

Sun left the venue without attending the ceremony.

At the event, Chen Kun won the Artiste of the Year award while The Most Beautiful Woman of the Year title went to actress Zhang Jingchu.

Deng Chao walked away with the Actor of the Year trophy.

Swimmer Sun Yang, artist Zhou Cunya, director Gu Changwei, actors Huang Xiaoming and Wu Xiubo are the "Men of the Year 2011".

That must have been very embarassing and I feel bad for her as well... I think her boobs are real since they aren't even that big to be fake...

that was bad! she should have been more careful with the bottom knowing it was that long... the woman who stepped on the dress didn't even lift her foot off even after the dress came off.

I don't think Sun Fei Fei need to pull such a stunt. She's a quite well known actress already.

I agree and I would find it sad IF she had do that just to get more known. I don't think it is worth it at all.

Well, at least she was wearing a bra. If she was just only wearing nipple tape, then really it would be something else. So nothing much to the pictures compared to all those lingerie and bikini advertisements one see nowadays.

Good thing she was wearing a bra. Maybe girls should opt for dresses with straps to avoid any future mishaps :P

Have to disagree with Kim4ever.

It's a BAD thing she was wearing a bra. :thumbdown

It would have been twice the fun had she not. :whatup

I doubt this was a publicity stunt - unless the hostess was in on it too? lol. Poor Sun Fei Fei, hope things will blow over quickly.

Or the hostess deliberately do it? Because she dont like Sun Fei Fei? Hmmn, what an interesting angle.

Luckily Sun Fei Fei was wearing a bra and the dress did not pull the bra down with it. The bra must be really tight fitting.

maybe it's just me but I thought the whole thing looks so staged. no shock facial expression whatsoever and she looks rather calm and was like giving time for her whole dress to drop lolzz ! and who still wears 'that' colour bras these days? not celebrities at least. and it looks like such a big bra ! so heavily padded, and the way the bra covers her chest, it's so ugly !

I smell something fishy.

Whenever someone accidently sees a woman coming out of a shower, the woman's
natural reaction would be to fold her arms in the shape of an X to cover up her chest.

Funny and kinda odd that we didn't see that here. :shifty: Makes one wonder. :thinking

The dead giveaway would have to be that this happened at a MEN'S event.

........not that I'm complaining :tricky:

I've watched the video clip of that accident, and imo, definitely not staged as a publicity stunt but a most mortifying incident for Sun.

Smells fishy? Either way that's pretty embarrassing. I would hate for that to happen to me. But somehow her dress looks oddly a size big than what she should be wearing. Or is it just me seeing things?

Not just that but it seems like the dress itself already has bra padding; therefore I don't really understand the whole ordeal. I know a lot of people wears a bra to make their breast look bigger (more push-up) as well as for protection. But in that photo I can see another padding going on underneath the bra she already has on. So..yea..enlighten me here. I think it's pretty weird.

I think the host did it on purpose. I saw other pictures and her face looked like she did it on purpose. Some people are horrible and I feel bad for fei fei.

i watched the video of this and the hostess did not lift up her foot at all after the dress slipped (she was even smiling brightly as she was looking at sun). either she was not aware she was standing on it (it's only a small part of the dress) or she was in on it.

Ah, I just watched the video. I don't think Sun Fei Fei's reaction is indicative of whether or not she had intended for something like that to happen. When people are in shock, they can react in many different ways (sometimes, their minds might go blank and they won't even know to cross their arms, etc. since it happened so fast, as can be seen in the video). The hostess who had caused Fei Fei's dress to slip off was unusually calm , however. She didn't seem to show any signs of remorse or much shock - she was all smiles afterwards. But one thing that has led me to question whether this is in fact a deliberate act or not, is how the assistant/manager was able to so quickly come to Fei Fei's aid with a huge blanket like that to help cover her up. It seems as if they had anticipated something like this to happen, hence the huge blanket.

I saw the video and I believe it was an accident. Clearly as an artist she is smart for wearing a bra AND nipple covers under her padded dress. If this was a stunt, why not just wear the dress without all that stuff? Wouldn't more people talk about it? It will probably be in the news till the end of the year. Also, the "blanket" is actually a jacket. I'm assuming the jacket is stephanie's, which is why the assistant has it with her. It's winter in china and it gets really cold in most places, so having a jacket makes perfect sense.

^ Oh, okay, that makes sense then lol. I couldn't tell it was just a really long jacket.
