Eric Tsang Chi Wai yesterday turns 60. He celebrated at Disneyland Hong Kong, booked up 3 sections and invited 300 friends. However, tourists, parents and children were turned away from rides as they were disappointed and complained about the improper arrangement. Chi Wai found out and felt very sorry.

Chi Wai has been celebrating nonstop for days. Yesterday he booked up three areas in Disneyland including Grizzly Gulch and Toy Story Land for him and 300 friends. Around 4PM, the theme park suddenly closed up for the private party and disappointed tourists and children alike. They complained, "Are you kidding? We paid and we don't get to play!" Later, Wilson Chin Kwok Wai, Elaine Lok Yi Ling, So Chi Wai, Chin Kar Lok, Angela Tong Ying Ying and others played in the areas.

At 6PM, Chi Wai held the birthday party at the hotel. Friends like Charmaine Sheh Si Man, Sheren Tang Shui Man, Kenny Bee (Chung Chun To), Wong Cho Nam and Leanne Li Yanan, Nat Chan Pak Cheung and Wong Hung Sau, Jacky Cheung Hok Yau, Shirley Kwan Suk Yi and others. The birthday boy posed for photos with Mickey and Minnie then spoke to the media. He said that he booked the park because many artists normally worried about starting a frenzy and did not have a chance to play. Thus he made the arrangement for them to have fun. The park gave him quite a deal. As for the complaints of other visitors, he was surprised. "Huh? I didn't know, I am so sorry! Tell them to find me, I would invite them back in t play." Toby Leung Ching Kei said that they applied for the closure in advanced. Chi Wai last night spent the night with his family at the hotel. Friends also heard his call to donate the money for gifts to charity. Would he continue to be the "drunk street artist"? He said that he did not know. One of the foreign security guards seemed to have protected Ricky Wee previously.

Kwan Suk Yi's son did not attend. Her son did not want to be on camera and she respected his wishes. Cheung Hok Yau wished Chi Wai good health and bringing more joy to everyone. Sheh Si Man donated money to charity as Chi Wai asked and hoped to go on a vacation together. Wong Cho Nam revealed that Li Yanan already crashed a car on the way over. Luckily they were fine.

Eric Tsang Chi Wai two nights ago attended the Hong Kong Film Award celebration and received a cake as everyone sang the birthday song to celebrate his 60th birthday. His children Bowie and Derek Tsang Kwok Cheung also gave him kisses, Chi Wai was overjoyed. He said that although he asked friends to donate money to charity as gifts, friends both donated money and gave presents as gifts filled his living room. He was very touched. "When Bowie was 20, I gave her a supplementary card. For my birthday this year, she gave me a supplementary card." As celebrations followed one after another, he hoped to continue all the way to the end of the year. "In a few days I will go to Taiwan with a group of golf friends, at the end of month I will go on vacation with the Trio group." Chi Wai joked about his always low key wife being made a magazine cover at his celebration banquet. "It's such a joyous day, of course I would share with everyone."

Yesterday on April 14th, it was Eric Tsang's actual 60th birthday. He continued celebrating at the Hong Kong Disneyland. He made a two day reservation at the Toy Story Playland, Grizzly Gulch: A Runaway adventure and the soon-to-open Mystic Point and invited nearly 300 good friends. The HK Disneyland management team started rushing away their guests at 4pm to accommodate Eric's private party. There were signs saying "After 4PM, the park is reserved for a private event." The large group of children, who had been in line to enter the park, were disappointed and frowned. The staff gave out stickers to comfort the kids. One angry tourist said: "Are you serious, we paid and can't go in to play?!"

Since Eric's last birthday party was more for adults, this time his friends can bring their kids along to play at Disneyland. At around 6pm, Eric's good friends from the industry arrived including Wilson Chin, Chin Kar Lok and his wife Angela Tong, Sherming Yiu and her husband, Koni Lui and her husband Dickson Wong, Toby Leung, Timmy Hung and his wife Janet Chow, Annie Man, Charmaine Sheh, Sheren Tang, Jacky Cheung, Shirley Kwan, Nat Chan, Michael Tse, Michael Miu and his wife Jamie Chik, Wong Cho Lam and his girlfriend Leanne Li, and many more.

During the interview, Eric said he reserved the park because many artists don't have the opportunity to go out and play at theme parks, since there is fear they may cause a chaos, so he just wants his friends to enjoy themselves this time around. HK Disneyland gave him a good price too. When speaking of his private party made other tourists upset? He was surprised and said: "Huh? I didn't know, sorry! Tell them to come find me, I'll make it up to them." Toby Leung expressed she wants to apply for that first.

Last night, Eric and his family stayed at the park for a night and urged his friends to donate the money they used for his birthday gift to charity. When asked if he'll keep being a "drunk artist"? He laughed and said he does not know.

Charmaine wished 'father' Eric a happy birthday: "I wish father much happiness and go traveling everyday. I hope to go with them too, but I have work soon, so can't go." Jacky said: "Wish Eric good health. I heard him say to donate money, so I didn't get him anything, but I'm not sure if he'll pocket it himself." Sheren said: "Eric said tonight the party's theme is charity, so I'm going to donate too." Wong Cho Lam said he's giving a money gift: "Tonight my girlfriend is driving, so I can drink. I was so scared just now, almost got into an accident." Leanne said: "Yes, you can drink more now!"

The Hong Kong actor booked three sections of the amusement park and apologised to the visitors for the inconvenience caused

Veteran actor Eric Tsang organised another party at Hong Kong Disneyland yesterday, following his high profile birthday bash last week. The newly turned 60-year-old reportedly booked three sections of the park and invited nearly 300 guests to the extended celebration on his actual birthday.

The guest list included big names such as celeb couple Natalis Chan and Cecilia Wong, Tony Leung Ka Fai and wife Jiang Jianian, Jacky Cheung, Shirley Kwan, Connie Chan, Charmaine Sheh, Sandra Ng, Kenny Bee, Chin Kar-lok, Timmy Hung and their families.

Explaining his choice for the party venue, Eric said that he wanted his friends and their family members to join in the celebration as many of them have become parents in recent years.

'I hope to have more interaction with the kids. It's heart-warming and a rare opportunity to have sections of the park to ourselves for photo-taking,' he added.

Although a notice stating that 'The park will be closed from 4pm for a private event' was put up to inform visitors of the closure, some families expressed their disappointment when asked to leave.

A representative from Disneyland clarified that an announcement was previously made on the official website, while Eric bowed in apology to the visitors affected by the closure and even promised to treat them to the park again next time.

Last week, the actor had to be escorted out of his birthday bash via a secret route by his family to avoid being caught by the paparazzi in his drunken state. When asked to comment on the incident, Eric claimed that he will quit drinking for a period of time, saying, 'I may not need to rest, but my liver needs to.'

Now this is what I call a 'real' birthday party, with friends and family able to bring their kids and have a good time....unlike that 'show' that TVB put on for his birthday (which was nothing but a publicity stunt for TVB -- oh and while I'm at it, got to say how horrible the editing was....the show broadcast last night and in typical TVB fashion, so much stuff was cut out of it, nothing really made sense -- they did a worse job than that HKFA editing fiasco from years back!).

Anyway, glad everyone had fun at Disneyland! Happy Birthday Eric!!

Yup....though part of me was sort of expecting it, since that's not the first time they've cut programs into 'shreds' like that (and their own programs at that)...the worst part was them cutting people off before they even finished talking! Not only that, it was also totally obvious where they made the cuts, as the 'transitions' weren't smooth at all! Needless to say, the show was 'painful' to sit through and watch (if it weren't for certain people whom I wanted to see, I wouldn't have even bothered watching it). [To me, the HKFA ceremony -- which aired the night before -- was a much better watch than this farce of a show!]

Anyway....heard that the Disneyland party was alot of fun....and it ended up being a 'concert' of sorts since alot of people went up there (including Jacky the 'microphone-hogger'....hahaha) and sang all sorts of songs. And seeing all those pictures of the babies (Jamie, TJ, Alyssa, etc.) was definitely very sweet (even though they're all too young to understand what's going on, but still....).

wow, that's so cool. Good of him to do that even though it caused some issues but he did apply already. Glad the artists seem to enjoy it!
