Quote

Tse and policeman Lau Chi-wai, 28, were found guilty last year of allowing Tse's former chauffeur to falsely present himself as the driver of Tse's black Ferrari F360 Modena when it crashed in Hong Kong in March.

Lau was given a six-month jail term while Tse was sentenced to 240 hours community service, which some observers believed to be too lenient.

In November, Tse was fined HK$7,000 (US$897) and had his driving license suspended for a year after he pleaded guilty to two separate charges of speeding.

The 21-year-old singer was charged after his car struck the back of a another vehicle on a highway in outlying Lantau island last June, leaving the singer's blue Audi estate in a twisted mess. Tse and two other people were hurt in the crash.

absolutely not. Even stars are supposed to be normal people. if they break the law, they should be treated as equal and get equal punishment.

However, that police agent should be punished longer because he is a policeman. Breaking the law while he's supposed to be upholding it. It's not a fair comparison.

240 hours is about 20 working days only if he works for 10 hours a day. Assuming he only works 2-3 hours a day he'd be finished in a month or two.

Nah, I don't think that's fair either...
Nic Tse should have the same punishment as the other policeman dude...
That's just not fair; Just because he was a singer and all, he was still a person, and committed an offence...
At least he didn't go to jail though...
But still, the punishment wasn't as harsh as it should be.. <_<

It's definitely unfair...but celebrities get away with a lot.
Community Service isn't even a big punishment.

I think that that is UNFAIR!!! Celebrities should be treated equally in the eyes of the law!
But celebrities seem to get away with almost everything anyway...

Well, what if you think about it the other way? Maybe they're not being especially lenient on Nic because he's a star, but they're just being especially harsh on the policeman. I think that the policeman should've gotten more than Nic anyway, because he knows the law and shouldn't have let himself be bribed. Too bad the world is full of those kind of people anyway...
