his acting is quite good but he always plays small roles or supporting actors never seen him in a lead role

This guy is gorgeous! He looks mixed...is he? Yeah, it's sort of sad and a waste that even some leads aren't as suitable as he is in portraying that lead role, but oh well, I think he looks better in modern clothes compared to ancient clothes. Does he speak English? Don't worry, I always ask this....I'm just curious because my pootonghwah isn't too well!

i have no idea but he speaks mandurin not canto i think..........duno yeh he look much better in modern clothes, and from what i know he's not mixed either.

《金色年华》 Is going to start production at the end of june and the lead is still being decided. Besides 陈坤 and Taiwan actor 蓝正龙 being part of production, Shanghainese actor Yan Kuan is also part of the final line up of who the main role will go to. All three actors performance have been.......impressive? (not aure abuot the last few lines '). There have been reports why 言承旭 (Jerry Yan) was not part of the final line up.

Of the three actors Yan Kuan is the most talked about, because of his handsome look and his light ...... make him suitable for the 30's feel.

Information about Yan Kuan, he enjoys playing the 30's role. As well as having studied 8 years of music.

I think it's a great show which makes the historical period seem so much more exciting.

uh. does somebody know where to purchase his drama series "Amazing Story"?? in China or other countries it's named in Chinese as "Qi Ren Qi An" but in Singapore it's named "Zhuo Gui Shou Ji" leh.. haha. very strange ho.. =DD

anyway, does anybody knows where to purchase the VCD of the "ZHUO GUI SHOU JI" VCD?? i looked up and down for it already but cannot find. not sure if the REAL title is "qi ren qi an" that's why i asked for "zhuo gui shou ji" and nobody could understand.. the salespeople said not in stock. i don't know if i said the right title lar. anybody knows?!?!?!?! because i really really really really like this show A LOT. i want to catch this show again and reminisce. So, you're Vietnamese, too? Viet' title of "Amazing Story" is An Mang Bi An . That's its title when it showed on TV. I think on VCD or DVD its title is So Tay KInh Ngac .

I still don't watch it. I long search for it but can't find it out here. Anyway,this girl watched it and this is what she summarized.

i seem to remember him portraying a weak emperor who, after a series of bad decisions and misfortunes, was captured by some people when he is outside of the palace, i think he went to a far place where there is battle. sice the palace can't be without an emperor, he is dethroned and replaced by his brother(played by that monk in Tian long ba bu). wow, you should see how he maltrated Yan Kuan here, who now becomes Tai Shang Huang. everynoe is plotting to kill him. even the eunuchs. he is forced to eat all sorts of things, is badly treated and is imprisoned by his brother when he returns to court. sheesh, his brother has fallen in love with power. he does not want to hand the throne back to him.
i forgot the ending, but i think he did regain the throne....
