Lol, the last time I posted in this thread was more than a year ago! Anyway, I reckon it's hell stressful if you're an actor. Like you get hardly any sleep, but you must still pose and smile for the camera. If you're grumpy they're not going to promote you, the reporters may make up something which is totally fictional.

And if you misbehave in any way, TVB can freeze you, and thats the end of your career temporarily. TVB has plenty of actors/actresses under their wing, so its damn easy to get someone to replace you.

It's only those like Liza Wang who have a steady postion in TVB.

You know when I was small, I had a dream of joining TVB, and acting in series with all those good looking actors. ' I actually wanted to be a Miss HK. How embarassing. Well its never going to happen with my current height and weight.

i think i'd like to be in tvb. yea u might not have any privacy n all that. but it's the fact that ur doing sumthing that u love. i love acting and i love singing. being famous seems like it'll b fun. being able to b an actor/actress gives u a chance to experience other characters. u don't always have to b stuck doing the same role everyday of ur life. ur not always stuck at one place ur always going to different places to film. ur not stuck in a office all the time. one day ur a doctor n then the next day ur a lawyer. ur life is always full of unexpected things.

Well, I've got to say this is a dream, but to tell you the truth not my dream. And I don't think I have the potential for being a star, I mean like you have to have the talent to act, maybe sing and the looks, I mean it is like all the TVB are beautiful and I mean Girls and guys at least the really famous ones. Oh, and I almost forget the body, I mean it's not like I'm fat but stars are just really really slim, don't you think, I mean like being a star you can't eat anything anymore, at least really really less and you might not be able to eat your favorite food, I mean I'm much of a fan of chocolate, so well....
Apart from all these potential thing, I think I'm too old to become a star, I mean they're beginning at what age now, 14...15 years old, and the lates by the age of 17 or 18 they're already famous, if this is the truth I must be famous already so well, that's my opinion.
But I think it would also be fun being a star but not to forget all the stress because of the media, but well if you're a star yourself you get to know all the other stars, right?! Well, this is more like my dream, to befriend with many celebrities and like mostly the hot guys...lol....

No not all the TVB stars are slim. Like that one guy in A Pillow Case of Mystery the Princesse's dad I mean he was fat (no affence).

its not just about acting skills... its about looks! no one wants to see ugly people on t.v. so yes you must have looks and voice which is the most important knowing how to act is a PLUS in my opinion because you can always learn how to act.

Acting is the greatest thing ever!!!! Im taking a bunch of theatre classes at my college and im even thinking of having it as my major! Im also taking Chinese (Mandarin) and currently finding a local school that teaches Cantonese.

well it isn't about reading chinese or looks, or talent. it's more about the money, people connections to get chances and people to promote you. if your a okay looking lady but if your family is rich, you can definitely win the miss hong kong title. some people even sleeps with other in order to get to the begining of their acting career. if your poor or with less money, you can't afford to pay big business company to get a script in a series or music company. even joining the model agency will cost you some money in the begining

becoming a tvb star is more like a dream.. fame and money..
but the question i ask is.. is it really that simple? recent events like the shots of gillian have shown that being famous isnt always so good..
you cant live a normal life.. its hard to go out into the streets and have any secrets... your life is surveyed by ppl and every move you make is watched..
also.. shooting for movies isnt just fun and games where you just make facial expressions.. filming is a lot of refilming and retakes.. and actors often had retarded sleeping hours.. where they only get 2hours sleep before shooting the next scene or something..
though at times it'll be cool to have fan clubs and ppl that might admire.. you also could have haters..

being a tvb star also takes a lot of hard work to reach to the top.. you odnt become famous overnight.. its a long process.. and one needs a lot of luck and preservence to make it..

so though becoming a tvb star may seem fun and exciting.. but im not so sure i wana be one..

I do believe that there are way more cons than pros for being a famous tvb star. You have to be cautious of every move you make because there are always people trying to write gossip about you. Also, it's really hard to have a relationship with another person because again, papparazis will intervene with your private life

hey if you really wanted to and you have no facial deforms and not handicapped then you can definitely do it because after 5 years in the industry you will know if its ye or ne

got broken teeth- no prob fillings and dental surgery is easier than done
need whiter teeth- grab a crest produict, stick the stickers on over night- 14 days!
have black heads, white heads, freckes and other facial problems
- no prob: one do facial weekly no scrubs every week though
- use the best and MOST FIT products for you-see dermatologist
- whitening cream and spa treatment for 3 months
once your face is clear-0 do bi weekly maks, use daily spf cream, night cream
dont have smooth skin or facial hair or have some body hair
- laser it off babe ;cause that;s the way to go
- do a soya bean bath every month or so to keep it shiny and smooth
eat tomoats, fish, olive oil, almonds, and no fry stuff or too much junk
exercise 4 times a week each time 30 min and make sure each day get 1hr
change your wardrobe to being cute, have a few items to spark you up
treatment to your hair to look clean, sleek and smooth
do pedicure, manicute, take an acting class, cantonese class and you;re done
