Lee Min-ho considers new drama role

Finally, we have news of Lee Min-hos potential next project!
Hes not confirmed for casting, but a rep from his management company said in an interview on the 17th that he is looking favorably at Bad Guy [나쁜 남자], a working title for the new drama from Lee Hyung-min, the PD behind 2004s melodrama Im Sorry, I Love You. His rep said, He plans to make the selection for his next project as quickly as possible, and is looking to decide by the end of this month at the latest.
Contrasting with his ridiculously rich and pampered Gu Jun-pyo character in the drama that made him famous, Boys Before Flowers, this dramas hero grew up poor and becomes an action school stuntman. Bad Guy is aiming to hit broadcast airwaves next spring.
Since bursting onto the scene, Lee Min-ho has taken on a number of CFs and endorsement contracts, from mobile phones to beer to clothing and food, but has not taken any acting roles since Boys Before Flowers wrapped in March. Overseas fans surprise Lee Junki with good-luck cranes

This is sweet (and yay for overseas fans, yet again): in anticipation of Heros broadcast premiere tomorrow, overseas fans have shown their support for lead actor Lee Junki in the form of 30,000 origami cranes.
The fan gifts arrived on November 17 at Heros Seoul filming location in a truckload containing fifteen boxes. Lee Junki had been taking a brief break from filming at the time of arrival, and hearing that theyd come from his overseas fans, he opened the boxes himself to confirm the sight.
Lee said, I was so surprised and thankful. I want to hang them all up at home. The fans act without being bound to nationality and it seems like they have the ability to always surprise me. This time, I received a gift I couldnt have even imagined receiving. Thinking of how long it must have taken them to fold all of this makes me even more moved.

Sohyun and Hyunah's instant shots for auction

Fuji Film and www.auction.co.kr are working together for this 'Stars Korean Sites Charity Auction'. From the 16th of October till 23rd of the same month will be the actually running of this event, which would also be complementary to Fuji Film's 'Tree of Hope Event'. Part of the profit gained from this auction will go to children of other countries who are living in poverty, thus much support has been shown for this event.
Artists will take instant shots from daily lives, such as when they are in waiting rooms, their personal collectibles, etc. These instant shots would then be packed into mini albums and would be used for auction.
Participating artists include: Koo Hara, Gyuri, UEE, Joo Yeon, So Hyun, Hyun Ah, Boram, Kim Tae Woo, Alex, Lee Min Woo, Kim Joon,Park Shin Hye, and many more.
A representative said, with popular artists and their respective fans leading the crowd, this event would most probably be very successful in achieving to help those needy children from other countries. Also, those that have donated generously would be entitled to winning big prizes.

At the 1 November bnt news Japan opening ceremony for 'Celebrity Charity Bazaar - Sharing of Love', SS501 presented their love through the activity.
Recently come back by releasing their mini album 'Love Like This', SS501 participated in this charity activity. SS501 participated in 'Celebrity Charity Bazaar - Sharing of Love'. The main theme is to help single parents and also low income with their after school care.
SS501 has been actively participated in helping the weaker group, this included charity concert or charity auction in aid of locating lost child and other activities.
In this charity show, SS501 donated their stage costume. They donated their stage costume in their previous Shanghai concert. The same costume design was also worn by oversea artist Beyonce and Celine Deon. This silver jacket and black pants were wore by SS501 during their Shanghai performance. All proceeds from the auction will be donated in full.

Jet Li Acknowledges Singaporean Citizenship

Kung fu star Jet Li has confirmed that he is a Singapore citizen, the website Dfdaily.com reports.
When Li attended the recent Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference in Singapore, he acknowledged to a Taiwan media that he had immigrated there. He was invited to attend the meeting as one of the representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises.
It had been reported for months that Li changed his citizenship, although he remained silent about the matter. It also had been previously reported that Li bought a house for 19.8 million Singapore dollars ($13.6 million) in Singapore in May and that his daughters were attending schools there.
When talking about Singapore, Li said it was a clean and safe city in which to live and that he found its bilingual schools and multiple cultures attractive.
Li, who had not taken on any acting roles in the past year and a half, had fully committed himself to his One Foundation, which he founded in 2007 as a charitable organization.

Jacky Wu Plans to File Lawsuit against Magazine
Taiwan's "king of entertainment" Jacky Wu plans to sue the local China Times Weekly (CTW) magazine for allegedly misreporting that he borrowed 500 million New Taiwan dollars, or about 15.6 million U.S. dollars from illegal money lenders.
A report on the website Sina.com said the TV host held a press conference with his lawyer on Tuesday before taping one of his variety shows. At the conference, Wu demanded that CTW issue a correction within three days.
Wu has signed a petition for redress and is ready to submit it to the court at any time, his lawyer said. But the compensation amount has yet to be determined based on the outcome of the matter. Wu would donate all money awarded to charities, his lawyer said.
CTW reported in its Nov. 13 issue that Wu had to borrow money to solve financial problems at H&T Electronics Co., Ltd. of Taiwan, where he is chairman of the board. But Wu indicated that the company's capital amounted to 10.9 million ..... (article cut to save bandwidth)

For the upcoming Lunar New Year MediaCorp drama series, Happy Family, local actress Cynthia Koh will don a fat suit and parade a head of tight curls to morph into a plump aunty on the set.
As a professional actress, Cynthia was more than willing to comply with the producer's request for her to pile on more weight for the role. However, the actress's body refused to gain weight no matter how much she ate.
"I kept eating nonstop however, I did not get fat. On the contrary, I kept having bouts of diarrhea! All along, my body weight lies along 52kg, I just can't get any fatter!" she laughingly said.
Due to her inability to gain additional weight for the role, Cynthia had to wear a fat suit when shooting began a few months ago. When the weather turned warm and the humidity levels rose, the petite actress started to perspire nonstop in the suit.

Ah Bu has no time for romance in his life
Popular host of Taiwanese variety programme, The King of Adventure, Brian Zhou Yong Xun (better known as Ah Bu), will be participating in a feature film called, The Will, produced by Channel U.
Traipsing round the world and visiting a plethora of different countries for his variety show, the 31-year-old Taiwanese artiste shared that this is his first visit to Singapore. As the production crew for The King of Adventure will usually stay in a country for 20 to 25 days to film, they decided to skip Singapore due to the lack of places to explore.
Pleased to be given another chance to visit Singapore, a gleeful Ah Bu plans to take in the sights and shop around the city. "Singapore has many shopping complexes! My legs are sore from the shopping!"
"During my first day in Singapore, someone actually recognized me! At that time, I was drinking coffee with the production company outside. I was analyzing the coffee's plastic bag when suddenly someone came over and asked me 'Are you Ah Bu?' It gave me a shock!"

Super Junior sets a record for dominating and staying up #1 on Taiwans Korean-Japanese music chart for 30 weeks through with their recent hit Sorry Sorry.
The song is up #1 on Taiwan online music site KKBOX for the Korean Japanese TOP 100 chart for 30 weeks all the way from 3rd week of April (19th~25th) till the 1st week of November. It has gone up to the #1 spot on the chart 1 week after it was released in Taiwan on 17th April.
This definitely points to Super Juniors popularity in Taiwan.
Meanwhile, SS501 takes over the #1 spot on the chart with the song Love Like This for the 2nd week of November (8th~14th November).

Female vocal group Cheon Sang Ji Hee member Sunday will make her comeback into the Kpop scene after 2 years appearing on local music show.
According to KBS Music Bank homepage on 18th November, Sunday will be appearing on the show aired on 20th November. It was stated that Sunday will be performing with hiphop singer H-Eugene, as the featured vocalist for the performance.
This will be Sundays comeback into the Kpop scene since CSJH last released the song One More Time, OK? in 2007.

A TV series airing in the same time slot has surpassed ratings of 30 percent and the actress who had taken on the lead female role pulled out from the drama just a week ahead of its showing due to an injury which continued to worsen. We are talking about MBC TV series "Hero" which is set to premiere this week. Hence the drama may not be under the most favorable of conditions but a somewhat merry atmosphere dominated the set of the upcoming Wednesday and Thursday night TV series. Below are excerpts from an interview with the lead actor and actress Lee Jun-ki and Yoon So-yi on Monday.
Q: It must've not been easy for you having the female lead opposite you change from Kim Min-jung to Yoon So-yi.

Rain's "Ninja" LA premiere to air on GomTV

The red carpet event for the Los Angeles premiere of superstar Rain's Hollywood film "Ninja Assassin" will be aired exclusively on video portal GomTV next week, according to producer Warner Brothers on Wednesday.
GomTV will record the event, set to be held at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood tomorrow, and air it at 9 p.m. on November 23, Warner explained.
The main cast and crew of the action flick, including Rain, actress Naomie Harris, director James McTeigue, and producers Joel Silver and the Wachowski Brothers, are expected to turn up for the premiere.
Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, will play the lead role Raizo who is an unfortunate character fighting against the very organization that trained him to become the best secret assassin in the world. His co-star Harris has appeared in the "Pirates of the Carribbean" movie series.
The Wachowski Brothers, famous for "The Matrix" trilogy, and Silver, who created the "Die Hard" and "Lethal Weapon" series, spent ten years working on "Ninja". Lee Seung Gi makes a full recovery from swine flu

Having been hit by the swine flu which prompted a cancellation of his concert with Son Dambi in America, it was announced on the 15th that Lee Seung Gi has recovered fully from his illness after taking Tamiflu and will resume his schedule from this week.
Lee Seung Gi will record Strong Heart on the 19th, followed by 1N2D on the 20th. He also expressed his thanks to his fans through his management for their care and concern and will repay them with better performances in future.
Besides his tv schedules, Lee Seung Gi will also start preparations for his year-end solo concerts which will be held on 12th and 13th December at the Seoul Olympic Stadium.

Sitcom High Kick continues to set new high

MBCs daily sitcom High Kick 2 continued to please more viewers on Tuesday, scoring its highest ever rating of 20.7 percent, according to a survey by TNS Media Korea.
The ratings for Kick had been on a steady rise since its premiere in early September, breaching the 20 percent mark by a fifth of a percentage on on November 5.
The sitcom has yet to see ratings past 20 percent on a poll by AGB Nielsen Media Research.
Kick, a family series directed by Kim Byung-ook, is the sequel to "High Kick 1" which was widely popular between 2006 and 2007.
Both series of the sitcom have been sold to several countries in Asia, with the sequel selling in Japan for the highest price ever for a South Korean show.
